We've finally reached the Crown Shrine, and its size leaves us in awe. "So, this is the Crown Shrine..." I remark.

"It looks amazing... now, let's go inside," Alice adds.

Upon entering, we discover that the place resembles an old, weathered castle. There's also a horse barn with two feeding bowls, suggesting it's where the horses are kept.

"Wow...this place is absolutely stunning," Elena exclaims.

As we explore further, we encounter the two Calyrex, and Peony remains by our side. "I've been waiting for you, human children," the king greets us.

"The Crown Shrine was once our home. Spectrier and Glastrier must now view us as helpless, having lost our powers, and they mock us by making this place their own sanctuary," the queen laments.

Noticing the Reins of Unity in our hands, the king acknowledges, "Ah... I see you have indeed brought us the Reins of Unity. You have my gratitude, children."

We hand over the reins to them, and the queen remarks, "Ahhh... The sensation of holding these once more... The vibrant colors... The way they gleam in the light... Oh, how it brings back memories..."

"Glastrier and Spectrier are both incredibly proud Pokemon. Some might even call them arrogant. They won't accept us as their masters again unless we can prove our power surpasses their own," the king explains.

"And we will use the Reins of Unity to infuse our powers directly into the very bodies of our loyal steeds," the queen adds. "This should convince them that we are still worthy of their loyalty."

Alice inquires, "So, what's your plan now?"

"Now, human children, to entice our loyal steeds, place the Iceroot and Shaderoot Carrots into the basket near where Glastrier and Spectrier rest," the king instructs.

Alice and I decide to follow his instructions. Once we've completed the task, we discreetly position ourselves behind a nearby tree. The queen explains, "Now, it's time. Glastrier and Spectrier could arrive at any moment."

"But why are we hiding?" Elena questions.

"They won't willingly approach anyone they perceive as a threat," the king clarifies. "So we must remain hidden and wait for their arrival."

While we remain hidden, the two Calyrexes patiently watch as the two horses make their way into the castle.

"What is that scent..." Spectrier remarks. "It smells like carrots."

"Yeah... those succulent, plump carrots we've been longing for..." Glastrier chimes in as they spot their respective feeding bowls. "And there they are..."

Elena observes, "Wow, those two horses seem to be getting along..."

"They might occasionally bicker over trivial matters, but they're also the best of friends," I add.

Just as the horses are savoring the carrots, the king and the queen stealthily approach from behind and swiftly mount their respective steeds.

"Hey, who dares intrude?" Spectrier shouts, attempting to shake off the king, while Glastrier reacts similarly. They struggle to dislodge their riders who are trying to secure the reins in place. The commotion also startles Peony, who awakens to witness the unusual scene. Elena can only murmur, "Wow..."

Finally, the monarchs successfully place the reins into their mounts' mouths, and the reins begin to emit a soft glow. Gradually, both horses don white capes and a sense of calm washes over them.

"They've transformed..." Alice gasps in amazement.

Peony exclaims, "Wh-what in the world?! Such a huge noggin! And...it's got a ride?!"

While the Calyrexes converse with their steeds, Peony mumbles, "Huh?! I-I've got no idea what you're sayin'! But somehow, it also makes sense? Hold on a sec! What in the world are you anyw—? Oh, not again—Mlerrrgh..."

We witness Peony being possessed once more, and the king remarks, "Human children! Thanks to your efforts, we have been reunited with our loyal steeds, and we are now restored to our full power!"

"We had lost faith that people still believed in us... and we had also lost our loyal steeds. Loneliness had engulfed us deeply. But you saved us. There are truly no words that can adequately convey our gratitude to you," the queen adds.

"So here's a proposal: if you can catch us even with our powers fully restored, it will unequivocally prove your worth, and we will offer you our assistance on your journey," the king suggests.

"Once you feel prepared, come face us," the queen adds. "Oh, but first... I should return this man to where I found him. Leaving him to freeze in this frigid climate would be no good." Then they teleport Peony away.

We decide to use Charizard and Absol to battle the two Calyrexes. Their two new moves: Glacial Lance and Astral Barrage prove to be difficult. But once we manage to weaken them with our Fire and Dark moves, we throw two Poke Balls respectively and capture the four Pokemon.

Glastrier: The Wild Horse Pokemon: Ice Type. Glastrier has tremendous physical strength, and the mask of ice covering its face is 100 times harder than diamond.

Spectrier: The Swift Horse Pokemon: Ghost Type. It probes its surroundings with all its senses save one—it doesn't use its sense of sight. Spectrier's kicks are said to separate soul from body.

Calyrex: The King Pokemon: Psychic and Grass Type. Calyrex is known in legend as a king that ruled over Galar in ancient times. It has the power to cause hearts to mend and plants to spring forth.

Calyrex Ice Rider: The High King Pokemon: Psychic and Ice Type. According to lore, this Pokémon showed no mercy to those who got in its way, yet it would heal its opponents' wounds after battle.

Calyrex Shadow Rider: The High King Pokemon: Psychic and Ghost Type. Legend says that by using its power to see all events from past to future, this Pokémon saved the creatures of a forest from a meteorite strike.

After releasing Calyrex from their Pokéballs once more, I inquire, "So what's your plan now?"

The king responds, "We're about to embark on something we've needed to do from the very beginning. It's time to restore the lands in the Crown Tundra."

With that, they rush off, leaving us somewhat puzzled. However, a few minutes later, they return, and we're astonished to find that the Crown Shrine is now flourishing with blossoms. We hurry to the observation deck and discover that the entire Crown Tundra is in full bloom.

Elena, diligently writing the final report, remarks, "Calyrex, the King and Queen of Bountiful Harvests, have successfully reconnected with their loyal steeds using the new Reins of Unity. Calyrex also appears to have renewed its trust in humankind. As a token of gratitude for helping it regain its power, Calyrex has restored all the farmlands, causing them to bloom once more."

We receive a call from Peony, who exclaims, "Hello? Is that you, Chief? It's me—Peony! I just had a dream about a big-headed Pokémon, blabbering away in some weird shrine... You were there too, Chief! It felt so real! I got a tad worried about you, so I thought I'd better give you a shout and check in! You haven't gone and hurt yourself, have you, Chief? No major trouble, right?"

"Don't worry, we're perfectly fine," Elena reassures him.

"Ah, that's a relief! Guess I've got nothing to fret over then! Gahahaaa! The Peony Exploration Team always looks out for the safety and well-being of its members, after all! So take care on your way back, alright? No expedition's truly finished until you're safe and sound back at home base! Gahaaahaha!"

With that, we decide to return to camp and provide Peony with a full report of our adventures.

Upon our return, we're greeted by joyful villagers who are cheering in celebration. The mayor approaches us with an excited expression and exclaims, "Visitors, you might find this hard to believe, but the King and Queen of Bountiful Harvests are indeed real..."

"We've been saying they were real all along," I reply. "And it looks like there's no longer any need to be concerned about food shortages in the village, right?"

"That's absolutely right! And now, we can even have our own festival," the mayor responds, their face beaming with delight, and the villagers around us join in with smiles of anticipation.

Upon returning to the house, we decide to share the report with Peony. He eagerly exclaims, "Wait—you really caught Calyrex from the legends?! That's ultra-mega-brilliant! Report away!

"Here it is," Elena says as she hands over the report. Peony reads it with wide-eyed amazement and stammers, "Th-that...that...that noggin's MASSIVE! I-is that the King of Bountiful Harvests? The one callin' the shots around here? Huh? I could swear I've seen it before... Or then again, maybe not..."

We chuckle, knowing that Calyrex has taken control of Peony's actions multiple times.

" A-anyway! It's definitely regal of it to have steeds... and that massive head does sort of resemble a crown! It's kingly enough, at any rate! Let's just call this a successful expedition! Looks like you've reported all there is to report on Legendary Clue 1 and the King of Bountiful Harvests! Smashin'! I'll mark this expedition done!"

Peony takes out a stamp and firmly marks the report, then Elena smiles and puts it back into her pocket. "Since I've heard that the folks outside are having a festival, why don't you go celebrate with them?"

"That sounds like a great idea," I reply, and we all head outside to enjoy the festivities, trying out the food stands and taking part in the merriment.

As we stroll around the festival, Elena inquires, "So what's Calyrex's ability?"

"Well, their ability is 'As One' when they are together. It's the first Pokémon to have two abilities simultaneously," I explain while checking the Pokédex.

"As One?" Elena questions, and Alice chimes in, "Calyrex, without a horse, has the 'Unnerve' ability. I'm sure many of you know that 'Unnerve' prevents the Pokémon from consuming berries. As for Glastrier, it has the 'Chilling Neigh' ability, which, when it knocks out a target, triggers a chilling neigh, boosting its Attack stat. With 'As One,' when they are combined, they can simultaneously use 'Chilling Neigh' and 'Unnerve.'"

"No way..." Elena exclaims. "And what about Spectrier's ability?"

"It's called 'Grim Neigh.' When she knocks out a target, she lets out a terrifying neigh that boosts her Special Attack stat," I reply.

"So the king is a Special Attacker while the queen is a Physical Attacker. That's good to know," Alice remarks, and we all nod in agreement.

After thoroughly enjoying the festival, it's time for us to rest up so we can embark on our second Legendary Clue adventure.

And that is the end of the first Legendary Clue, and it might be probably the longest one since the other two are much shorter compared to this. So it won't take that many chapters and I hope you like it.
