Leigheanna and Rowan are leaning closer to each other. She's trying to look away, probably not feeling very comfortable with the situation, but he still catches her glimpse, making her blush and her heart pound.

Unexpectedly, he presses his lips on her, not even caring about her attempts to pull back. There's no going back at this stage. They must accept their mutual feelings. They have to admit they're more than just casual friends.

Leigheanna: I... I...

Rowan: You what?

He blinks an eye, leaving her even more confused.

Rowan: Are you okay?

Leigheanna: I mean... I didn't even expect that...

Rowan: I think I've already told you once, but you're cute when you stutter.

Leigheanna: Oh, really? You're exaggerating, you know, right?

Rowan: No way!

Leigheanna: Come on, we have to reach the house, before it's too late.

Rowan: Too late? This city never sleeps, Leighy.

The guy and the girl laugh loud and then get back on Rowan's old and beaten Jeep, waiting for Taylor to restart his own car so that they can follow him.

Meanwhile, the night is already coming as Alaria is driving on the unusually deserted motorway. This, fortunately for her, her sisters and Bridie, is enough to ensure a growing distance from the woman who almost ruined their lives.

Alaria: Has Leigheanna texted or called yet?

Bridie: No.

Meara: Hopefully, she'll call us later.

Bridie: I think so.

Silence falls in Alaria's car as she keeps driving and the other passengers don't say a single word. However, it's broken as soon as Bridie's phone rings. She frowns at the thought that Kaitlin might be calling her again, but she's surprised - and relieved - that the witch is not calling. It's Leigheanna calling instead.

Phone call between Bridie and Leigheanna

Bridie: Hello?

Leigheanna: Hi, Bridie. How are you?

Bridie: Fine. We're still driving.

Leigheanna: Well, we're already there, by the way.

Bridie: We?

Leigheanna: Yeah. I'm not alone.

Bridie: Okay...

Leigheanna: Anyway, I can't wait to see you, Bridie! I'm sure my friends would be glad to meet you, too.

Bridie: But-

Leigheanna: No buts! You'll enjoy yourself, I promise.

Bridie: I guess so... Anyway, I still have all the proof.

Leigheanna: Great. I can't wait to see it, and then show it to the rest of the family.

Bridie: Your parents, right?

Leigheanna: Yeah, I guess.

Bridie: By the way, I'll call you later, as soon as you arrive, okay?

Leigheanna: Okay. See you.

Bridie: See you!

Hope takes the place of dispair as the phone call ends. Bridie is relieved to have talked to Leigheanna, but also fears that the witch may call her with threats and insults of every kind.

Alaria: Is everything okay?

Bridie tries to conceal her feelings on that woman and succeeds, as usual.

Bridie: Yeah. I was just thinking of how meeting Leigheanna's friends will be.

Meara: Oh, really? She mentioned being with her friends, right?

Bridie: Well, I don't know. She just said she's gonna introduce them to us, I think.

Alaria: I already know them, Bridie. They're weird.

Bridie: I guess you must've met them before...

Alaria: I have. Believe me, you won't like them.

Bridie: Alaria, stop being obnoxious! Whether I'll like them or not is not your business!

Meara: Come on, girls, let's not argue. After all, what matters is that we're going to meet Leigheanna, right?

Alaria: I guess you're right, sister. Come on, there's still a long way to go, and we may be running late.

Bridie: Kaitlin is not likely to be chasing after us.

Meara: What do you mean?

Bridie: I mean, she needs to plan everything in order to succeed, including driving all the way through America to find us. She's not going to take so many risks, especially now that she knows we found the truth out...

Alaria: I guess you're right. Let's go, though. The earlier we arrive, the better.

The girls drive in the night, forgetting all the tension that has threatened to create disarray among the three of them. In particular, Bridie manages effortlessly not to pay attention to her phone, and instead enjoy the sight of the starry sky.

At the same time, Preslea and her husband Rick have just booked a last-minute flight to Florida, with the intention of going round and visiting Bridgette and Dave.

Speaking of Leigheanna's parents, they have finally reunited, but it seems that the atmosphere in the Macias household is tense and vibrating.

Bridgette is still upset that her husband failed to call her throughout his leave and, most importantly, that he didn't tell her in person that Leigheanna would still go to Las Vegas without their approval.

Bridgette: You could've at least told me firsthand! Why did you call my sister instead?

Dave: Because she called me first! I'd call you, but I preferred telling you in person. I just guess things didn't work as I expected...

Bridgette: Yeah, you can say that out loud! Anyway, Preslea and Lenna are coming round tomorrow. Please shave! You look like a caveman!

Bridgette is pointing at Dave's undone beard and his growing hair on both his legs and his arms, something unusual since he's used to shaving regularly every week.

Bridgette: And take a shower, as well!

Dave: I know, love. I stink. I'm gonna take a shower and then...

She crosses her arms and rolls her eyes at his attempts of acting flirtatious, though she can't help smiling and laughing. After all, that's her man, even with his flaws.

As she regains her composure, though, she hears her phone ringing somewhere in the house. She isn't holding it, so she has to find it before it's too late. Luckily for her, Abbie has got it, which means that she can take it from her hands.

Abbie: It's the Sheriff! Something must've happened back home.

Bridgette is confused. Why on hell is the Sheriff of Arlington, Virginia, is calling? Maybe it's about a previous scuff between Leigheanna and Kaitlin, who knows? The only way she can know is answering the call.

Phone call between the Sheriff and Bridgette

???: Hello, Officer Kees calling. Who is it?

Bridgette: Sir, I'm afraid I can't help you. I'm answering from Hialeah, Florida.

Kees: Are you a relative to Kaitlin Harlan?

Bridgette: Well, I'm her sister and, as I explained before, I'm answering from Florida.

Kees: Your sister is wanted for assaulting her daughter and two boys in the area and escaping!

Bridgette: What?
