Personality: Kaori is a rebellious, deceptive, and cunning kleptomaniac woman who loves nothing but stealing money and items with a passion of escaping from prison she's was put to. However when she can't escape from Nanba prison, she became hostile and distant towards her cell mates and supervisor Hajime where she would call them demeaning nicknames. Although hostile and deceptive, she has a soft spot for her deceased mother where she always carried a locket of her mother and has a passion for music where she would often listen to her songs to relief from stress, emotional pain, and anger and is a talented singer. As she stays in Nanba prison, she finds herself bonding with building 5 supervisor, Samon Gokuu after see how kind and selfless. She then starts to warm up to her cell mates and starts to be less hostile and demeaning to not only her friends, but other inmates and guards as well. She also develops a playful and dry side where she likes to provoke Hajime by calling him "baldy sama". She also cares about her cell mates and acts like a older sister figure to Nico.

Bio: Kaori once lived with her Japanese widowed mother where she would always sing a lullaby to her before sleeping when she was little. Her American  father died since she was three years old. She's always passionate about singing and would express her melodic and beautiful voice to her mother to the point where she wanted to become singer. At the age of 15, she starts  a part time career as a singer at New York City until  her life changes when she witnessed her mother lying dead on the ground while on her way home. She quits her career as a singer with no money and no home to go to, she starts her life as a thief in Japan. Once she steals an item, she starts to become obsessed of stealing. And to this day forward, she is known as the "Vanishing Thief" at the age of 18 where she would steal items and money from a split second and vanished once the cops attempt to catch her.
