Ash goes to the Kalos Region with the journalist Alexa, once they get there, Alexa tells him that there is a Gym in the Lumiose City, so he goes there first, but in the end, Ash is electrocuted and is also kicked out. But in the end, it is because of this incident that he is able to be friends with Clemont and his sister Bonnie. And much to their annoyance is that Team Rocket is still following them and it is because of it that they manage to meet Froakie.

Ash and his friends also meet up with Professor Sycamore, who is showing him about Mega Evolution. But then Team Rocket tries to take the Professor's Garchomp, causing Ash to go up the Prism Tower to save him. And then Ash tries to jump from the Prism Tower to save Pikachu, a move that causes both Arceus and Lillie to be shocked and scared, of course, they scold him once they are alone. And Clemont and Bonnie decide to join their group on their journey.

As for Lillie, she uses the name Serena and dying her hair honey blonde as she goes to the Professor's Lab, she lies to Professor Sycamore that she is a new Trainer and she gets a Fennekin in the end. After that, she chases Ash until they finally meet again after Ash lost the Santalune Gym. Thanks to her, Ash manages to win in the end and Serena officially joins Ash's group to travel around the Kalos Region.

One Saturday night, Ash and Lillie, who have dropped out of her disguise, are resting at the Santalune Forest, Ash asks, "Are you really okay to disguise as Serena? I know you are doing this to me, but still..."

"Ash, I already told you many times." Lillie sighs, knowing how Ash really cares for her. "I also want to do this, I am a little tired of only seeing you on weekends, and this is the perfect opportunity to be with you without my brother finding that I am here with you."

"I know." Ash says. "But what do you think about Clemont and Bonnie? I know I had punched both Brock and Iris for stalking us, what if they find out? Should I give them a punch as well?"

Lillie says, "Don't. Clemont isn't a sports type and Bonnie is still young. I think those two are interesting siblings, considering that Clemont is an inward one while Bonnie is the outward one. They kind of remind me of me and my brother but the other way around."

Ash sighs, "Fine, but if they find out our secrets, I might as well use Amnesia on them to remove their memory."

In the Paldea Region, Ash and Lillie meet a girl named Nemona thanks to Director Clavell, and while they're going to the lighthouse at Porco Path, they also met an injured Koraidon and a trainer named Arven. And in school, they also met a group known as Team Star who was harassing a girl named Penny. After stopping them, they finally get to have their first classes in person at the university.

In the university, they are asked to do the gyms, stop Team Star, and also help Arven find the Herba Mysticas. Ash and Lillie are amused that all of them together made 18, the same number of types.

Back to Pokemon capturing, Ash and Lillie capture a Rellor at Asado Desert and by walking with it, it evolves into Rabsca. And near Cortondo City, they find a Nymble and train it to evolve into Lokix. And that completes their own Bug Type list.

As for Clemont and Bonnie, Bonnie is watching how Clemont is making machines and she says, "Brother, Ash and Serena hasn't come back yet, what if something happen to them?"

"Don't worry, they will be back, we should give them some privacy after all." Clemont says as Bonnie pouts, then they see the two of them come with Gabena resting on Serena's arms. "Where did you get a Ralts? It is so cute."

"We found it in the woods as it was just hatched, it treats us as parents and we called her Gabena." Serena says, hoping that the two of them will buy into their little white lie.

"Gabena, cool name." Bonnie smiles as they all laugh.

During the travel, they head back to the Lumiose City and find out that Clemont is actually the Gym Leader, he tells them the truth how his robot goes malfunction and then kicks the both of them out of the gym, so they help them get the gym back. Ash helps Clemont with the coding and Clemont asks, "I didn't know you are able to do that, Ash. Where did you learn mechanics?"

"We learned it from our Uncle, he is a famous businessman in the Galar Region." Ash says, "Though he is busy all the time, but when he is free, he will be teaching us a lot."

"That sounds great, I wish I have an uncle like you as well." Clemont says as Ash gives a wry smile.

In the Kalos Region, Serena doesn't want to challenge the League, but the Contest session of the Kalos Region isn't there as well, so she doesn't know what to do. It is after she sees the PokeVision as she wants to make one with Fennekin. But on weekends, she will also create some with Snowy as well.

To complete the Rock Type Pokemon, the first Pokemon they capture is a Glimmet inside South Province Area Six, and evolve it into a Glimmora. The second Pokemon they capture is a Binnacle at Route 8's beach area as it also evolves into a Barbaracle after training. The third and fourth Pokemon are Aurorus and Tyrantrum, by saving a scientist in Glittering Cave, they receive both Jaw and Sail Fossils to get those two.

To complete the Grass Type Pokemon, the first Pokemon is a Smoliv that they found at the Olive Fields in South Province Area Two, they train to make it an Arboliva. The second one is a Chespin, they got the Pokemon from Professor Sycamore and they evolve it into a Chesnaught in the end. The third Pokemon is Capsakid at West Province Area 1, and they use the Fire Stone to evolve it into a Scovillain. And the final one is Sprigatito which they received from Director Clavell, they manage to evolve it into a Meowscarada in the end.

To complete the Flying Type Pokemon, the first Pokemon they capture is a Flamigo at South Province Area 5. Then they capture a Vivillon that they helped from that burglar of Vivillon back in the day. And the final one is a Bombirdier who has been throwing rocks at them near West Province Area 1.

In the Paldea Region, Ash and Lillie realize that the reason why Arven wants to find the Herba Mystica is because of his Pokemon Mabosstiff, who has been injured at Area Zero, so they promise to help him find the rest of the Herba Mystica and heal it.

Ash asks while they are on their way to Dalizapa Passage for the fifteenth base. Ash asks, "By the way, how is your training in the International Police?"

"It is tiring, but I did try my best to become a perfect spy. What about you? I mean, you're going to be an assassin for them." Lillie asks.

"Yeah, since I have to do the kill, I really need to strengthen my resolve." Ash says. "The base is located near a cemetery here..."

"Which means there might be ghosts around..." Lillie says with a slight tremble. Ash notices it and says, "Don't worry, Lillie. I will protect you from those ghosts, they will have to go through me if they want to get you."

"Ash..." Lillie blushes at how Ash is acting like a prince in shining armor.

When they arrive at Team Rocket Base, they manage to arrest a lot of grunts on the base. Just then, a lot of International Police members are injured from invisible attacks, and one police member asks, "What's going on?"

Ash says, "It must be the Cyborg...Lillie, let's use our aura."

Lillie nods as they try to feel the Cyborg's presence, and once they feel the wind, they quickly use Swords of Normal to use Foresight, causing the Cyborg to be exposed. It is a girl whose half are mechanical parts with X-ray vision, so they could see the bones of the girl.

"I have to assume that the two of you are the ones that have been causing trouble to our other cyborgs, right?" The girl says in a cold tone. "However, you people are just babies, and it won't be a problem for me to defeat you."

"Oh really?" Lillie says, "You think you could just do damage to us by turning invisible, but we just make you visible with Foresight."

"Want to bet?" Just then, the cyborg disappears again. And Arceus says, "That is Shadow Force, be careful."

"We will." Ash says as he uses Protect to block the Shadow Force damage, and Lillie goes for Slash attack, which manages to damage the Cyborg.

"Damn Foresight...now I'm vulnerable to Normal moves..." The Cyborg mutters.

"Since she is a Ghost Type Cyborg, we're really screwed since we didn't have Dark Type aura..." Ash says.

"But we can still use Ghost Type aura to damage her." Lillie says, dodging the Moongeist Beam attack. "But we also have to be careful of those Legendary moves..."

"I know." Ash says, blocking the Spectral Thief by using Detect, Lillie also uses the Psychic Ring to set up the Future Sight, and just as the attack hits, the Cyborg yells, "Where did that attack come from?"

Lillie says, "Now it is our chance." Just then, she starts to speak some words with the Ghost Knives in her hand, and then Lillie kneels while the floor is shaking.

"What...what is going on here?" The Cyborg looks at the spirits, who start to go through her body, and all the International Police see the scariest thing in their life. Zombies arise from the gravestones and start to move toward the Cyborg, they start to rip the Cyborg's mechanical parts and her whole body, tasting her flesh while leaving only the mechanical parts behind.

"Lillie...what did you just do?" Ash asks in horror.

"I thought I was just trying to use the move Curse..." Lillie says. "I didn't know that would happen."

Once the zombies have their feast, they all head back underground and disappear. Ash and Lillie notice a piece of paper on the ground.

"Looks like we found another profile...so the cyborg is called Yuri..." Ash says.

Yuri: Age:23. Born: Hoenn. A girl who doesn't have parents since a young age lives in an orphanage and keeps causing trouble to other children by scaring them or stealing things from them. She was kicked out of the orphanage then and has been wandering in the streets of Hoenn, her rage corrupted her to be a prankster, and Team Rocket approaches her and offers her a home while getting revenge on people. After joining Team Rocket, she becomes one of the testers of the Cyborgs. His typing and code name are "Ghost" He also absorbs the power of the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon of Ghost Type for Team Rocket. The Weakness of the Cyborg is a supernatural phenomenon.

"So those Zombies appearing and killing her was really a supernatural phenomenon..." Ash says. "Thank goodness that we're fighting in some sort of graveyard, or else we didn't know how to exactly beat her."

"But they won't be able to get back to us, right?" One police officer asks with a scared tone.

Lillie says, "Those Zombies must be victims of Team Rocket's attack. As long as we do good things, we won't need to be afraid."
