The next day, everyone was still asleep except for Gary, who woke up and sees Ash doing makeup in the living room. "Ash? What are you doing?"

Ash turns to Gary and says, "Doing some makeup, I have to look good for today."

"What? You? And make-up? Is this the end of the world already?" Gary says with a stunned expression, those who see it would think that he had seen a ghost. Ash feels a little offended and glares at him. "Gary, I am not a ghost. Don't give me that expression."

"I am sorry, but it is really weird, are you going on a date or something?" Gary asks. "You never did any makeup before."

Ash laughs a little and he is sweating on the inside. "Well, I need to learn some basic things if I want to get a girlfriend." Ash says, which causes Gary to look at him with a curious expression. From what his friends told him, he was just the naive boy he was those years ago, but now he feels like he doesn't know him anymore.

The lock of my heart found its key and now it gives me the chance to show who I am." Then he leaves the room and says, "Pikachu, let's go." Pikachu nods as he hops on his shoulder as they leave. Gary is standing there with confusion as he says, "That Ash just gave me a riddle?"

Then they all go to the Viridian City so that they can go to the Department Store for shopping, then Max asks, "By the way, why are we carrying their bags? And more importantly, where did they get a lot of money for buying those stuff?"

Brock says, "Beats me, but we have to do this, or else we are going to be beaten by them." Brock says.

"Indeed, it is just like the choice of either eating a lemon or hot pepper. What we are doing is sour, but it is better than the beaten-up spice." Cilan says.

"Still don't know what you are saying." Gary mutters, "But at least Ash is here to help us, or else we are doomed..."

"I think I should follow him to see what he is up to." Gary says, but Brock says, "No, Gary, it is better that you don't follow him."

"I know Ash longer and better than you guys, so I know how to conceal myself better than any of you. Plus, I am curious, what would have made him do such weird stuff and get happy to disappear." Then he leaves, Max frowns, "Here goes a brave soul that would be burned to ashes..."

"As you wish, mother." As they leave, Adam is confused and he decides to spy on her to get some questions to answer.

In the store, Lillie and Gabena are watching the blue dress that is displayed in the store. The store is named A&L, it is a store that is owned by Ash and herself during those Sundays they had for 5 years. Lillie says, "Gabena, this dress is the first dress that was made by Ash himself, don't you think that it is beautiful?"

Gabena says, "Mother, it sure is beautiful when you are wearing it. I am sure that Father will agree as well."

"Indeed, Gabena sure has good eyesight even though she was our daughter for a year." Lillie feels a warm embrace from behind, and the one who did it is Ash Ketchum himself.

"Ash, you are here, I have been waiting for you." Lillie says while enjoying the embrace.

"Yeah, do you want to check out the new dress that is on display? I made it yesterday night and I am sure you will like it."

"Oh really?" Lillie giggles as they walk into the store. Pikachu and Gabena are following behind as they are making sure that no one is going to interrupt their time.

But Gary was outside and he has seen everything in front of him, after seeing the scene, he has been torn between either having his Electivire Thunderbolt him to make sure that this was not some cruel and unusual dream or just watching the two. If it was Misty, Dawn, May, or Iris, he would have teased him nonstop, but he doesn't know about this girl that is with Ash. Not to mention, the way Ash embraces her also seems unbelievable to him. It is then that Gary remembers the riddle that Ash gave him.

"Wait, I know her...she is the Alola League Champion who is also the daughter of the Aether Family...does that mean she is Ash's angel that cleanses him? Mew, those girls will be heartbroken after seeing this."

As they are outside the store, Lillie is grabbing Ash's arm to the men's clothing store, K&A, also their store but with men's wear. Ash says, "Lillie, you don't need to do this to me."

"Nope, Ashy. You have made me a dress and it is natural that I made you this jacket." Lillie says while putting on a jacket on Ash.

"But I made that dress because of you, I don't want you to do something that is dangerous like sewing for me." Ash says.

"The feeling is mutual, Ash. I don't want you to spoil me too much." Lillie says.

"But it is my job to spoil you." Ash says with a pout.

"And it is my job to return the flavor as well." Lillie says with a smile along with puppy eyes, causing Ash to sigh in defeat.

The two stalkers are watching the scene and they are trying not to laugh at the two's interaction, even though it feels weird for them to see those two being this kind of lovesick, but they sure enjoy it like watching a soap opera.

After buying the jacket for Ash, they all go to the top floor of the department store and then Lillie asks, "Why are we going here?"

"Because my friends are in this mall and I don't want to get caught." Ash says. "By the way, Gabena, do you want me to help hold those bags? I am sure that you must be tired of your Psychic, right?"

"Not at all, Father, this is nothing. Just continue what you are doing with Mother." Gabena says.

Once they are at the top floor, they see that the place is a beautiful garden that shows all kinds of beautiful flowers. "Wow, this place is really beautiful."

"I know, it is a great place to relax." Ash says as they all sit on the bench. Ash says, "By the way, Lillie. You know, I am very happy that I am with you, so how about I give you something special?"

"And what is it? Love?" Lillie asks, confused.

Ash suddenly takes out a flute and he says, "My mother used to play this song with the flute when I was little, it is able to cheer me up every time I play it."

Then he starts to play the tune on the flute, the song is so great that Pikachu and Gabena are starting to feel relaxed, and even the wild Pokemon on top of the garden all stop and listen to the music.

After it is done, Lillie gives him a hug and says, "Oh, Ash. That is a wonderful tune."

"Thank you, my dear." Ash says.

Gary is listening to it and he thinks, "I never thought Ash would play the flute...that music was definitely from Ash's mother, but when did he learn it from her?"

And for Adam, he is having his mouth opened wide, and he thinks, "That tune...I know that Delia loves that tune so much that we played it together a lot of times...but not to mention that boy also said that his mother used to play this song with the flute...does that mean...Ash...my own son..." And with that realization, Adam's heart literally stopped.
