Ash and Alice are now back at the Vermilion City's harbor, they are asked by Professor Cerise to board the S.S Anne, much to their surprise. Once they show the captain their tickets, they are now relaxing at the pool as Alice asks, "So Ash, you had boarded the ship before, right?"

"Yeah, but it didn't end well as Team Rocket destroyed it in the end, we were trapped in the sunk ship and it took us a hard time to get out of it safely." Ash sighs and says, "It was one of the first many almost-death situations I was in."

Alice widens her eyes, she is trembling and she asks, "Ash? How many times did you almost die? How could you do that?"

Ash lowers his head in shame and he says, "Well...I once almost drowned under the sea...falling from high above the tower...being blasted by two Legendary's attacks...unable to breath in space, and even almost rewriting the past so that we weren't going to exist..." Noticing Alice is about to cry, he quickly gives her a hug and pats her back, "Don't worry, I am not going to be reckless for you, okay?"

"Can you really promise? I don't want to lose you..." Alice asks with a frown face. Ash says, "Of course, how could I leave you when all I want is to be with you."

Alice feels warm at the words as she leans on Ash, as for Pikachu and Eevee, they are running around the deck until they notice their bag, Pikachu says, "Say, Eevee? Do you want to help me find some new friends?"

"But what if Ash and Alice find us?" Eevee asks, "Won't we be in trouble?"

"Don't worry." Pikachu says as he takes out the Pokemon Teleporter, and they press the button as the two of them find themselves at the Route 6 of the Kanto Region. "Where did you take us?" Eevee asks Pikachu, who says, "Well, I was thinking that I want to find a Golduck."

"Golduck?" Eevee asks in confusion, and the said Pokemon appears from the lake in front of them. Golduck turns to the two Pokemon and asks, "Are you the ones that call out to me?"

Pikachu says, "Speak of the devil." Then he starts to talk to the Golduck about their trainers Ash and Alice, after a while of talking, Golduck seems to be interested in the two trainers, and he agrees to come along with them.

Once they manage to get back, Pikachu pulls out the Pokeball and gives it to Golduck, causing it to be captured, after that, he quickly sends it out and then they decide to give Ash and Alice a prank.

At the same time, Ash and Alice are still relaxing on the deck while leaning against each other, they are suddenly being sprayed by the water. "What is that?" Alice asks in surprise.

Ash rubs his eyes and then he sees a Golduck. "A Golduck? What is it doing here?"

Pikachu and Eevee are rolling in laughter and Alice glares at them, "Did you two ask this Pokemon to prank us?"

"Yeah...It was hilarious." Eevee says while still laughing.

"That isn't right to do so." Ash shakes his head and turns to the Golduck, "Sorry if those two bother you to do this on us, but where is your trainer?"

Golduck just points at him, Ash is confused, and as he takes a step left, the point also moves left. "Are you perhaps pointing at me?"

Golduck nods and both Pikachu and Eevee start to laugh again. Alice takes out her Pokedex and says, "It seems like we caught this Pokemon a few minutes ago, but how? We were just enjoying ourselves..."

After explaining, Ash and Alice are surprised that Pikachu and Eevee use the Teleporter without their permission and the fact that they are also the ones that capture the Pokemon. They really are lost in words, "Alice, I think they have helped us by capturing the Golduck from its home..."

"Yeah..." And due to this shock, the two of them decide to change their clothes and also lock both Pikachu and Eevee in their room so that they won't try to do anything that might give them heart attacks.

After the ship arrives back at Vermilion City, Alice says, "That sure is an enjoyable ride, to be able to enjoy the sea on a luxurious ship, it sure is a great experience."

"I know." Ash says, "As much as I wanted to enjoy it again, right now I should get back to the League business. I heard that Lavender Town is also holding the next contest, which is actually perfect for us."

"You're right." Alice says, "So what do you think that the type of Lavender Town is?"

Ash says, "About that...I have thought that it might be Ghost Type, but then again, Agatha is using Ghost Types, and I don't think there will be another gym leader who wants to use Ghost Type..."

"So?" Alice is confused. Ash decides to go back into the Pokemon Center and then he contacts a person, the person is actually Anthony, the person from the Fighting Dojo. After calling, Ash gets a Pokeball and Alice is confused.

"Ash? What is that?" Alice asks, Ash smiles as he sends out the Pokemon, which turns out to be a Primeape. "A Primeape? When do you have that Pokemon?"

"Well, at first I found it as a Mankey back at Route 7, it likes to take away my cap and when I got it back, it evolves into a Primeape and keeps using Thrash on us. But now we are good as we enter the P1 Grand Pix, and that is when we meet Anthony, he offers to train Primeape so that it can be stronger."

The Primeape nods as he hugs Alice's leg, causing the person to be stiff a little, before smiling and petting the Pokemon. "So about my question, what do you mean that Lavender Town's Gym is not Ghost Type?"

Ash says, "I was thinking that maybe it is a Dark Type Gym. Which is why I take Primeape back as it is a Fighting Type."

"I see." Alice says, "Well, if we are going to the Lavender Town, we should head to Route 12 and then Route 10, entering the Rock Tunnel and eventually get to it."

"That sure is a long road, but I know that we might be able to make it before sunset." Ash nods as they hit the road once more.

On the road, they are suddenly surprised by a Pokemon using Extreme Speed. "What is that?" Ash asks in surprise.

"It was too fast, I only see an orange blur..." Alice replies. Just then, they hear rumbling from the bushes as they turn around, they notice that the berries on the bushes are suddenly gone with the same orange blur.

"I think this starts to get familiar to me..." Ash says as he closes his eyes, Alice and Pikachu are surprised that Ash is actually thinking. Ash opens his eyes and says, "I think I get it."

"Ash? What is it?" Alice asks, Ash says, "If my memory is correct...I think that the Pokemon is an Arcanine."

"Arcanine? That does explain why it is really fast..." Alice says.

Then they decide to search around the area for the Arcanine, and then they find some Growlithe eating the berries at the grove. When the group approaches, they start to back away a little.

"Don't worry, we are not going to harm you. Where is your mother?" Ash asks, and one Growlithe recognizes Ash as the one they met a few years ago, and it starts to nuzzle at his leg.

"Stop it, it tickles." Ash laughs a little as the Growlithe shows some affection to him. Just then, they hear an angry growl as they turn around, the Arcanine is holding a branch with some berries when she sees the humans, she is angry as she thinks that they are going to harm her children.

"Wait, we are not going to harm them." Ash says as the Growlithe also tries to persuade his mother. Arcanine stops after hearing how Growlithe likes them. After talking for a while, Arcanine asks Ash to battle him alone.

With Ash using the Water Cross to use the move Surf, and then using the Rope to create Sand Tomb, Arcanine is still able to withstand. Alice says, "Just how strong is this Arcanine?"

As for Ash, it gets hit by both Flame Charge and Extreme Speed, he is in pain but he doesn't want to give up. In the end, with the Rock Shield, he uses Rock Tomb to trap the Arcanine, but stopped after the Growlithe tells them to stop and he wants to join Ash and his group.

Arcanine approves of Ash's strength and she knows that Ash can take care of her son well, so Ash captures it in the end, and with the Fire Stone they got from the Ninetales pack, they use it to evolve Growlithe into an Arcanine, and much to their surprise is that it can learn Play Rough and Outrage, which gives a good strategy for Ash.

And finally, they are now at Route 10, they decide to have fishing to get some new Pokemon. "Ash, what Pokemon do you have in mind?"

"Well, I was thinking that if it is a Dark Type Gym, I will like to have a Poliwhirl, it becomes a Fighting Type after it evolves, and I have a Water Stone with me." Ash says.

"Somehow I think that you learn more Pokemon than me even if I come on top with the studies back in my class..." Alice mutters, and Ash says, "Well, you maybe come on top with the theoretical, and I come on top with the practical, with the two of us combined, we are unstoppable, just think like that.

"You may be right." Alice mutters with a frown, Ash notices it and then he asks, "Alice? Are you okay?"

Alice shakes her head and says, "I am fine, it is just I don't like to talk about what I had in my old school."

Ash nods and then they fish out a Poliwhirl after the rod starts shaking. Ash uses Pikachu to give it a Thunder Wave, after that, he uses a Pokeball to capture the Pokemon.

"Nice, I have a Poliwhirl now." Ash sends it out, the Poliwhirl is confused at the trainers in front of them, Ash says, "Sorry for scaring you, I just want to be a friend with you."

Ash heals his paralysis, and the Pokemon nods as it becomes friends with both the trainers and the other Pokemon. Ash takes out the Water Stone and says, "If you hold this, you can evolve, but I won't force you to do so." Then he puts it on the ground and says, "You can choose if you want to evolve."

The Pokemon just stares at the stone for a second, and then it touches the stone, causing it to evolve into a Poliwrath. It also learns some Fighting moves like Dynamic Punch and Ash decides to train it for a while before recalling it.

"Now we are ready, let's go to the Lavender Town now." Ash says as he leaves, Alice sighs as she yells, "Wait up, Ash."

Here is a new chapter, and Ash gets 3 new Pokemon and a Pokemon back into his team. In the next chapter, I am going to include one Legendary Pokemon Capturing, one Contest, and one Gym battle. It may be hard for me to write, but I am going to try. I hope you like this chapter.
