"Do we have to go?" I hear my boyfriend Lovino whine

"Yes we do, they are your family." I reply

"But I don't want to go, it's just going to be a day of getting compared to Feliciano!" He says sitting down on a chair

"Lovino listen to me." I state, walking over to him and placing my hand on his cheek "It doesn't matter what they say, I love you and if you love yourself then no one can hurt you."

I kiss his forehead but he didn't took convinced.

"But what if I don't love myself?" He asks

"Then I will love you twice as much, until you learn to love yourself." I smile "Now come on, we only have a few minutes before we need to be there."

He sighs and gets up, grabbing the platter of food we are bringing. It has bread with cheese, tomato and olive oil. I don't understand why Lovino is always compared to Feliciano, his food is so much better.

Today we are going to Lovino's grandpa's place for a Christmas get-together and Lovino hasn't been looking forward to it. Last year Lovino was made fun of and went home crying, not that anyone else saw that, but I can understand why he doesn't want to go.

We get in the car and I give him another pep talk about how I will be there and i won't leave him by himself to deal with the things they say. We arrive outside of Lovino's grandpa's large house and walk up to the front door.

We knock and the sound of footsteps is heard. The door opens and there stands his grandfather.

"Hello Romulus, it's nice to see you again." I say before he can comment on anything about Lovino

"Caio bella!" He says in his usual loud voice and kisses both my cheeks

Then he moves into Lovino and pulls him into a hug.

"It's great to see you Lovi~" He says happily "Now come inside, out for the cold weather."

We enter and inside Feliciano and his Ludwig have already arrived. I sit down on the couch and just as I do Romeo jumps into the seat next to me and places his arm around me.

"Get your hands off my girlfriend!" Lovino yells quickly running over to me

"Calm down Lovi~." Romulus states "Be more like Feli~."

Lovino gives me a look of annoyance and I stand up quickly, walking over to him.

"Don't listen to them." I whisper

"So bella, have you ever thought of a threesome?" Romeo asks me

"Alright, I think it's time for food." I reply changing the subject

I walk into the dining room and Lovino takes a seat next to me. His glare remains strong as he deals with comments on his food. He becomes angrier and angrier until Romulus asks him if he's painting has improved.

Lovino grabs my hand and storms out of the house. I don't try to fight against him and allow him to take me back to the car.

"Why don't they just leave me alone?" He asks

"It's ok Lovino, how about we just order pizza and watch a movie?" I offer

"Yeah I'd like that." He states and presses his lips to mine

I kiss back and place my hands in his hair to comfort him.

"Ti amo." He whispers

We head home and instead of spending time we spend time with just each other. Which I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
