Good afternoon, Shiro!

I've just come back from visiting Yachi-chan.

Today's a pretty normal day- I had lessons until lunch time. It's my free time after that.

I learnt more katakana and hiragana today. I also learnt a bit of Kanji.

Doctor Mitsuha says that Kanji looks like another language, Chinese, which comes from another Asian country called China.

Speaking of China, I learnt about the countries around Japan.

There's a really small island city called Singapore. It's interesting how they're kind of successful even though they're just a little red dot. I hope I can visit there, it seems interesting?

There was also a country called Korea and it's near Japan! It sounds interesting too.

I want to explore the world and see it's wonders. Thanks to this pair of goggles, I can see the colours of the world!

I wonder if there are any anime with a blind main character. Maybe I'll ask Yachi-chan about it.

At around two in the afternoon, I visited Yachi-chan to ask her about anime.

"Sorry, I have to go for rehab now. Can I answer your questions after my rehabilitation session?" Yachi-chan frowned.

"Yeah, sure! By the way, can I accompany you to rehabilitation? I'm kind of curious about it," I inquired.

Yachi-chan furrowed her eyebrows and looked deep in thought.

Suddenly, realisation struck me. She might not want me to see her in rehabilitation. It might be embarrassing for her.

"Gomen, I shouldn't have asked that. What time does you rehabilitation session end? I'll visit you after that."

Yachi-chan shook her head,"No, it's okay. You can come with me to my rehabilitation session. Let's go."

Yachi-chan led me to a room and a doctor was there, waiting for her arrival.

"Good afternoon, Yachi-chan and..." the lady stared at me curiously.

She had black hair, grey eyes and some kind of black spot on the lower left side of her chin.

Wait, let me remember what it was called...some anime character had it...oh yeah! It's called a beauty mark!

"Good afternoon, Doctor Shimizu. Sora-chan here is going to accompany me for rehab today."

Doctor Shimizu's mouth formed a small 'o' before a smile materialised on her face. "Hello, Sora-chan! Yachi-chan told me about you sometimes during rehabilitation. Thanks for accompanying Yachi-chan today. It's extremely rare for Yachi-chan to invite anyone to go to rehab with her."

I bowed and saw the white, tiled floor without a speck of dirt in sight.

"Well, let's get started."

Yachi-chan was able to walk using the metal railings to support her. I cheered her on. Gradually, each step she took required more energy and after a while, her legs started shivering and her face contorted in pain. Soon, she was struggling to take a single step. But Yachi-chan forced herself to walk till the end of the railings before falling to the floor.

"Yachi-chan, daijobu?" I rushed over and helped her up.

"Hai..." she panted.

"Good job, Yachi-chan! You have improved from yesterday! You lasted much longer than the past few days and actually walked till the end of the railings."

A beatific smile was painted on Yachi-chan's face as she replied, "I felt motivated to persevere till the end because of Sora-chan's cheering. Does that mean I'll be out of the wheelchair soon?"

Doctor Shimizu thought for a moment before saying that it might take a month until she could walk on her own or with crutches.

"We'll continue after a ten minute break," Doctor Shimizu handed her a bottle of water.

Yachi-chan is very determined to be able to walk without a wheelchair. I have to learn from her and be a person who never gives up! Yachi-chan sure is an awesome person!

I feel thirsty after cheering for Yachi-chan and also recording this. I think I'll go get a drink. Maybe I'll drink water or banana milk.

Mata nee, Shiro!
