After separating from Yuni's group and having Frost with them, Yuto's group arrives at a warehouse. Rio says, "This place sure is a little spooky..."

Shark says, "I agree... but still, we need to defeat whoever's inside the warehouse if we want to reach Akaba Leo."

After entering the dorm, they find a man walking toward them. He is wearing a long cape and a hat, and he says, "Welcome, Lancers."

"Who are you?" Yuto demands.

The man raises his head, showing that he's wearing a mask. "My name is Titan. A Shadow Duelist!"

"Shadow Duelest..." Thomas mutters.

"Yes, I control the Shadow games. All of you fall into my trap, and I'll bring punishment down upon those who break that oath." Titan says.

Just then, some creatures appear beside them, they block the door and causes it to disappear, Rio yells, "The door!"

"What are those creatures?" Chris asks as they realize they're surrounded.

Titan says, "If you want to get out of here, you must duel me." Titan says. "If you duel me and win, you'll be able to get out of this Shadow Realm. But if I win, you'll be going to stay here forever."

"Stay here forever? Quit joking!" Shark yells.

"So are you ready?" Titan yells while activating his Academia Duel Disk, and Yuto says, "Then I'll duel you. I will bring everyone out of here."

Then he also activates the Duel Disk, and with the Action Field, Crossover appears.

"Duel!" (Titan:4000)(Yuto:4000)

"I'll get the first turn." Titan says. "I summon Demon Picador." (ATK:1600/DEF:1200 LV:4)

A demon knight appears on the field, and Titan says, "Then I set one card and end my turn."

Yuto looks at his hand and says, "I set Scale 2 Phantom Knights Lost Steed and Scale 5 Phantom Knights Iron Shield on the Pendulum Scale!"

A ghostly horse and a ghost with a shield appear on the field, Titan says, "Ah, the Pendulum Summon, the Lancer's weapon..."

"I use Iron Shield's Pendulum effect, by sending one card to the graveyard, I can destroy one Magic or Trap Card on the field. I destroy that set card!"

The card turns out to be Des Counterblow, which is then destroyed. Yuto says, "Then I set 3 cards and end my turn."

"Oh? You're not going to summon a Monster?" Titan asks with amusement.

"I don't need that to defeat you." Yuto replies.

Rio says, "Looks like Yuto is doing great..."

"However... I wonder what he'll do next..." Christ says.

"My turn!" Titan draws a card and says, "Time for battle! Go! Demon Picador! Dark Sitar!"

The monster throws a light ball, but Yuto says, "Double Trap! Phantom Knights Lost Vambrace! This turn, Phantom Knights on my field can't be destroyed by battle and the opponent's ATK is lowered by 600! Double means that it's lowered by 1200!"

"What?" Titan is surprised. (ATK:1600-400) Yuto continues, "After the effect is triggered, this card becomes a Normal Monster and is Special Summoned in ATK mode!"

Two ghostly armors appear on the field, (ATK:600/DEF:0 LV:2), Chris says, "Good, now Titan is going to be the one taking the damage instead."

"Is that so? Maybe I should try out your Lancer's weapon." He picks an Action Card and says, "Action Magic: Extreme Sword, Demon Picador gains an additional 1000 ATK." (ATK:400-1400)

"What?" Yuto is shocked, and he is hit by the attack. (Yuto:4000-3200) Shark says, "Damn it... he can use Action Cards as well..."

Yuto slowly gets up and says, "Now after I take battle damage, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Phantom Knights Double Badge! Using two Phantom Knights monsters on my field as materials, I can perform an Xyz Summon!"

"Xyz Summon?" Titan gasps.

"I overlay my two Level 2 Lost Vambraces! Piercing through ten thousand warriors, the cursed spear of rebellion entombed in darkness, descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 2! Phantom Knights Cursed Javelin!" (ATK:1600/DEF:0 RNK:2 OVU:2)

"Good!" Rio says.

"Cursed Javalin's effect can be used during the opponent's turn! By detaching one Overlay Unit, the monster's effects on the field are negated and their ATK drops to 0!"

The Cursed Javalin raises the spear and shoots lightning at Demon Picador. (ATK:1400-0) But Titan just gives a laugh, much to their surprise.

"What's so funny?" Thomas demands.

"You're acting a little impatient, and I'll show you why it won't work. I use Ritual Magic: Matador Descent Ritual - Dark Paseo!"

"A Ritual Magic?" The group isn't expecting to see a Ritual Summon.

"By releasing one Level 6 Fiend-type monster from my hand, I Ritual Summon Demon's Matador!" (ATK:0/DEF:0 LV:6)

After the demon appears, Shark says, "A monster with 0 ATK and DEF... Just what kind of strategy does it conceal?"

"Up until now, it is just a warm-up. Now the true dark duel begins now! Awaken, my dark item!"

His mask glows and then he yells, "I activate Field Magic: Dark Arena!"

Just then, the field turns dark, Yuto looks around and says, "What? What is this?"

And then Titan's figure start to fade away as well, Yuto says, "I can't see my enemy... what's going on?"

"I end my turn." Titan laughs.

Back out of the dark sphere, Rio, Shark, Thomas, and Chris look with surprise. "What's this?" Rio asks. "What's going on in there?"

"We can no longer see a thing!" Thomas says, "And the place is getting colder than usual..."

Yuto thinks, "Inside this Dark Arena... I can't even see my opponent's monsters?"

"Here, all monsters in ATK position must attack. In addition, you can't select their targets. I am the one who decides the targets. Through the darkness, I can see your face trembling in fear..."

"Fear of the dark is the natural instinct of all living things." Yuto says. "But humans have a reason to overcome their instincts! That's the power that lets us find hope on the other side of darkness. My turn!"

Yuto draws a card and says, "No matter what monster I attack, my Monster's ATK is higher. Battle!"

"Then Demon Matador will fight him." Titan says.

"Cursed Slash!" Yuto yells, and the attack is about to hit Demon Matador, but Demon Matador shoots out a beam and hits Cursed Javalin. "What? What's going on?"

Then Cursed Javalin is destroyed, and Titan says, "I'm sorry, I should have explained it earlier. Demon Matador can't be defeated by battle and does not take damage. But those who face it in battle are destroyed."

"Damn it... I should have just used the effect first..." Yuto grits his teeth.

"In addition, Dark Arena's effect means that all of your attack-position monsters must attack." Titan says.

"But now that my battle phase is over, that means monsters summoned after it won't need to attack. From my hand, I use Rank-Up-Magic Burial Phantom Knights! From my grave, I Special Summon a Phantom Knight Xyz Monster! I Special Summon Phantom Knights Cursed Javalin!"

After the monster is back, he says, "Next, I Xyz Summon a monster from the Extra Deck that's two ranks higher using Rank-Up-Magic Burial Phantom Knights and Cursed Javalin! Formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now, descend! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" After the monster appears, he says, "I end my turn."

Titan smirks and says, "As a Shadow Duelist, I enjoy watching you suffer. I use Magic Card: Darkness Restoration. I use it on Demon Picador, which means it negates the effect from Cursed Javalin, and also gains an additional 1000 ATK."

"What?" Yuto gasps in shock. (ATK:0-2600) Titan continues, "Now you may be wondering who I am, Titan is just a name that I borrowed. My real name is Fujiwara Gorm. I came from the original world, and as a result of my greed, I sacrificed my daughter's blood to create the being known as Yami."

"Daughter... Fujiwara... You're Victoria's father!" Yuto gasps.

"Victoria... oh how I wish to see her again. I was eventually dragged into the world of darkness."

(Flashback)

Fujiwara Gorm wanders around in the shadow realm, he is painful and he yells, "Help me! Please... Let me out of here!"

Just then, a voice says, "If you swear to defeat the Lancers who stand in the way of my revival, then I'll let you out of here."

"I swear it! I swear it!" Titan yells.

"Good, then take this item." Just then, a Dark Mask appears on Fujiwara Gorm's hand, he puts it on and lets out a scream.

(Flashback Ends)

Just then, veins start to pop out from his body, and he says, "The Shadow Realm was like a nightmare. You were forced into continuous dueling like nothing I've ever faced in this world. The only thing keeping me sane is the thought of seeing my daughter again."

Yuto frowns, "I see... you just wanted to leave the Shadow Realm... that's why you're fighting us..."

"And in this turn, your fate will be sealed. Did you think summoning your dragon will help you get through this turn? In this Dark Arena, Demon Picador can directly attack you as much as it likes!"

"What?" Yuto gasps in shock. And when he gets hit, he lets out a painful scream.

"Yuto!" Rio, Shark, Thomas, and Chris might not be able to see anything, but hearing the scream from Yuto really knows that he's in trouble.

Yuto falls to the ground in pain. (Yuto:3200-600) Titan says, "I see that you now fathom the pain of a dark duel. I end my turn."

Yuto slowly gets up and says, "I want to defeat Titan to get him out of here... but he also wants to get out of the realm... what should I do..."

Then he sees Dark Rebellion, who seems to be trying to tell him something. "Dark Rebellion... You're right. I can't lose."

Then he stands back up and yells, "My turn!" After drawing a card, he says, "I use the Pendulum Effect of Lost Steed! By detaching one Overlay Unit from a monster, I can add one Rank-Up-Magic from my deck! I add Rank-Up-Magic Phantom Knights Launch and use it! Using this card and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon as materials, I can Xyz Summon a Monster that is one rank higher!"

After the portal appears, he yells, "From the depths of purgatory, dedicate to the unsinking souls your song of rebellion! Appear and echo forevermore! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Appear, Rank 5! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!" (ATK:3000/DEF:2500 RNK:5 OVU:3)

After the monster appears, Yuto says, "I use Iron Shield's Pendulum effect! By sending one card to the graveyard, I can destroy one Magic or Trap Card! I destroy Dark Arena!"

"What?" Titan is shocked, as Dark Arena starts to crumble. "My Dark Arena... my duel ring...!"

"The Darkness is disappearing!" Shark says and then they see Yuto standing in front of them. "Yuto!" Everyone cheers and Yuto says, "Now battle! I attack Demon Medator with Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon! Disaster Disobey of Requiem!"

"You fool! Did you forget my Demon Medator's effect? Demon Medator won't be destroyed by battle and the damage I take is 0, and then your monster will be destroyed!" Titan yells.

"That's the monster's effect?" Chris asks.

"No way..." Rio says.

"I use Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's effect! I can detach one Overlay Unit from Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon. If this card is going to be destroyed by a card effect, I can negate it and Special Summon one Xyz Monster from my graveyard with its effect negated! I Summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

After the dragon is back, Yuto also picks up an Action Card and says, "I use a Magic Card from the graveyard, Phantom Wings of Requiem. By banishing this card, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon can gain 500 ATK!" (ATK:2500-3000)

"Action Magic: Bi-Attack! I target Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, and its ATK becomes double!" (ATK:3000-6000)

"6-6000 ATK?" Titan gasps in horror, and Yuto yells, "Battle! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Attack Demon Picador! Lightning Disobey of Rebellion!"

Then the Demon Picador is hit by the lightning and the lightning also hits Titan, breaking the mask. (Titan:4000-0)

After the field disappears, the shadow creatures are approaching Titan, he yells, "Don't come close to me! No! No! Don't send me back to the world!"

Yuto tries to grab Titan's hand, and Shark asks, "Yuto, what are you doing?"

"He's also a victim! We need to save him!" Yuto yells, and then the others are helping Yuto, but more and more of the Shadow creates surround Titan until Rio's pendant starts to glow.

"What the..." Rio gasps in surprise as suddenly, the Shadow Creatures are all eliminated, and Titan is lying on the ground unconscious. Thomas asks, "What just happened?"

"The pendant, it saves Titan from being devoured by those Shadow Creatures..." Rio says.

"Hey, Yuto... why would you want to save that guy?" Thomas asks. "He tried to send us to the Shadow Realm, didn't he?"

Yuto says, "He's Victoria's father, all he wants is to see his daughter again."

"Yuto! Everyone!" Just then, Yuzu's group arrives and Rio says, "Yuzu! What are you doing here?"

Ryu says, "We just helped Yuri's group, and we think you're nearby so we try to come."

"But it seems that you've already dealt with it..." Burno says.

Victoria notices the body of her father, and she gasps, "Is that... Dad?"

She quickly rushes towards her father, Yuzu says, "Wait, that's Victoria's father? What's going on here?"

"Let's say Yuto got into a Shadow Game where the loser is going to be sent to the Shadow Realm." Rio says. "He was about to be sent back to the Shadow Realm, but the Pendant saved him..."

Victoria shakes her father until he slowly opens his eyes, "Victoria... is that you?"

"Dad..." Victoria has mixed feelings, she hated him for using her as a sacrifice to create one of the sinister four: Yami, but she also feels pity for the man in front of her.

"I'm sorry... you suffered a lot because of me..." Gorm mutters.

"I forgive you, Dad... you didn't know what will happen if the Ritual succeeded... I'm glad to see you again." The words coming out of Victoria's mouth, she can't believe she would say such things, but deep down, she also misses her father.

While the father and daughter are reconciling, Rio says, "That reminds me. Yuzu, before we dealt with him, we met a person who comes from the original Dimension named Frost, you know him?"

"Frost?" Yuzu gasps with pain and sorrow, Sarah asks, "Isn't Frost one of your friends, Ray?"

"He's no friend of ours, he's the reason why Zarc was out of control. Where is he?" Yuzu asks with anger.

"We met up with Yuni's group before coming here, and we decided to let them take him and deal with him." Rio says. "We just want to inform you of this first."

"I see..." Yuzu says. "Since there's nothing to do here, I guess we should find others and help them."

"You're right." Yuto says.

And back in the Professor's room, Yami is snarling and yells, "AGAIN? ANOTHER ONE OF MY PAWNS IS DEFEATED!"

Itchize says, "Looks like we underestimate those Lancers. But once Supreme King awakens, there's nothing they can do to stop him."

"Not to mention that we are about to recover our true selves as well." Mistress Thousand says. "If they can't defeat them, then we'll defeat them ourselves."

Here is a new chapter, and I realized that in the Xyz Arc, I didn't give Yuto any duel, so I decide to give him one and here it is. I hope you like this chapter and we're going for Ruri's side in the next chapter.
