Marty's POV:

I have just come back from a long time travelling adventure. Specifically, I just came back from 1885. That was an exciting time. I never thought Doc would really carry out his plan to go to 1885, but you know, some things don't really change. Or do they? My life is still as good as it was when I came back from 1955 the first time. Jennifer is the only person who really thought that anything was wrong with me. I mean I time travelled, but other than that, nothing was wrong. In fact, everything seemed perfect at the time. The DeLorean is old news. Doc hasn't been around for awhile, so I hang out with Jennifer and the band guys most of the time. Ryan Kelly is our newest member and he is one of the coolest guys that I know. He plays just about every instrument that I can think of and he is really good with cars. Biff has recently opened his own shop for cars and Ryan has a job there. Supposedly, he has this super cute girlfriend too. I haven't met her, but I'm sure that she is just as cute as he says she is. I jump on my skateboard and skate off to school. My girlfriend waits outside for me on the steps just like she always does. I walk inside with her and we chat about meaningless things until she bring up an interesting topic.

"A new girl is here today," Jennifer states and I whip my head around to look at her.

"A new girl? Every kid in Hill Valley comes here and no one new has moved into town recently. What do you mean that there's someone new?" I asks and Jennifer shrugs.

"That's just the word on the street, Marty. I don't know what else to tell you," She says. I smile at her and when none of the staff are looking, I peck her on the lips. Jennifer rolls her eyes at me as we continue down the hall. "You are going to get us in trouble one of these days, Marty," She says as she grabs her books for first period. I follow after her and into my history class. The class begins with current events. Jennifer and I sit next to each other, so all I did was kiss her cheek when the teacher wasn't looking and whisper things that make her blush in her ear. She eventually nudges me and points to the screen. Once the current events finish, the teacher goes on and on about some politics or other while I keep sneaking looks at Jennifer. After a long session of history lecture, the bell rings. I am packing up my things when I hear a girl's voice say loudly,

"I said back off!" I turn and notice Needles and his gang harassing a young girl. I don't recognize her and she seems to be having trouble getting away from the boys. The girl is just trying to grab her things and leave. She is a short girl with bright red hair tucked up into a small bun at the nape of her neck. I hear Needles say slyly,

"Only if you go out with me." I stand off to the side and watch, preparing to intervene in case he actually does something stupid. The girl snarls back at him,

"Thank you for asking, but I already have a boyfriend." Needles's face darkens significantly and he grabs onto her upper arm.

"Yeah, you're gonna forget that boyfriend. I'm your boyfriend now!" Needles demands and I step up to intervene.

"Needles, you don't get girls by forcing them to date you. Girls don't like that stuff. I bet she will tell all of her friends and then every girl in Hill Valley will want to date anyone else, but you," I announce and the girl looks slightly revealed. "Besides, picking on girls is a low thing to do and nobody, especially the girls, approves of that." Needles's face reddens and he slams his hand on the desk closest to him.

"Only you can say that, Big M," Needles growls, "That does not apply to me." He reaches for the girl again and she slaps his hand away...hard.

"You try to touch me again and my boyfriend will bring his friends and they will hurt you," The girl growls back and I stand there, watching. Needles grabs the girl into an overbearing hug and I reach up and punch him in the face. The girl falls free and I grab her arm before she collides with the desk. "Thanks," She mutters quickly before shooting a nasty look back in Needles's direction. Needles has keeled over onto the desk behind him, but he has a furious look in his eye when he stands up to his full height. He shakes his head at me and leaves. I head for the door and he whirls around.

"I haven't given up. I hope you know that," Needles mutters before heading down the hall. I just shoot him a glare. Needles and I have never been friends. We have had a rivalry since elementary school and for some reason, he still has a problem with me existing. I walk down the hall to find the girl to make sure she is okay, but I can't find her anywhere. The rest of the day passes with little to no excitement. At lunch, I sit down next to Jennifer and see the same redheaded girl from earlier following behind her. Jennifer says something to her and gestures to the table.  The girl replies, but because of how loud the cafeteria is, I can't hear what they're talking about. My bandmates come in eventually and sit down at our table. Ryan takes a seat next to the redheaded girl and that's when it dawns on me. This redheaded girl is the new girl and Ryan's new girlfriend. Ryan gently lays an arm across her shoulders causing her to blush a little bit at the sudden contact. The other boys start to tease them and I roll my eyes.

"I met the new girl and Ryan's new girlfriend," Jennifer states and I smile at her.

"I can see that," I say as I watch the new girl talk with Ryan.  Suddenly, the new girl peeks around Ryan to see the rest of us. Her eyes go wide when she sees me. She starts pointing at me and talking to Ryan. Jennifer turns to me with raised eyebrows.

"What did you do?" She asks before I can explain anything.

"It was Needles and his gang. They were harassing her," I say and Jennifer's eyes get wide. Jennifer asks another question, but the bell to go back to class rings before she can ask it. "Gotta go. See you later!" I say quickly. I kiss her cheek quickly causing her to swat gently at my arm. When I pull away, her eyebrows are knit with worry. "I'm fine. I promise. Nothing I couldn't handle," I say and Jennifer's demeanor appears to be a little bit more relieved.

"Everyone's still going to Burger King later, right?" She asks and I nod. "Can you drive me over?" She asks and I nod again. "See you then!" She says and I call back,

"Meet me by the truck after school!" She waves and the two of us run off to our separate classes. The rest of the day drags on. Pre-Calculus seems to take forever as the teacher goes on about some formula that I will probably never see again in the rest of my life. As soon as the bell rings, I run to my locker and grab my stuff. Then, I run for the car only to be stopped by Mr. Strickland.

"McFly!" He thunders and I slow down to a fast walk, so maybe I won't get in trouble if he actually catches me and maybe I can get away from him before he does catch me. Strickland quickens his pace and grabs onto my arm. "McFly, I called your name and you still ignored me," He growls and I yank my arm out of his grasp.

"Can I go please, Mr. Strickland?" I ask politely and Mr. Strickland shakes his head angrily. I inwardly groan and wonder why in the world I let myself get caught by this old codger?

"You're not going anywhere until you stop running through the halls," Strickland snarls at me and I slowly take two steps toward the double doors. When he doesn't make a move to stop me, I try taking two more steps backward. This time, he does grab my arm. "What did I tell you, McFly?" Strickland growls again and I stare back at him. He opens his mouth to launch into some big speech when the fire alarm begins to wail. Students in the hallways run for the double doors and I take this distraction to join them.

"Who on Earth...?" Strickland yells and I run out the doors with the other students doing the same. I sprint to my truck as Strickland dashes outside to find the person who pulled the fire alarm. Jennifer is already waiting by my truck when I get there. She looks like she has been here for awhile.

"Did Strickland catch you again?" asks Jennifer and I nod. She sighs as we climb into the truck. "What was it this time?" She asks with a twinge of annoyance to her voice.

"I was running through the halls again," I reply and Jennifer rolls her eyes at me.

"You know, if you would just follow the rules every now and then," She starts and I groan as I start the truck.

"Jennifer, I follow most of the rules," I start but she cuts me off,

"Except for the stupid ones." I let out a small chuckle and nod.

"You know me too well," I say as I put the car into drive. I drive out of the parking lot and to the Burger King across town. Jennifer rolls her eyes again.

"What I am going to do with you?" She asks as I pull up to a stop light. I turn my head to face her and see that  she is staring right at me.

"Kiss me," I respond and she leans in to kiss me when the light turns green and cars behind us start honking in frustration. I pull away and continue driving down the road. Jennifer lets out a slight huff of disappointment. "You can always kiss me later," I say as we continue driving down the road. We pull into the Burger King parking lot and I jump out of the car. I open her car door for her and help her jump down to the ground. The two of us walk inside to see Paul, Leo, Ryan and his girlfriend, who Jennifer sits across from. I walk up to the register and order Jennifer and I's milkshakes. Once the milkshakes are ready, I take the two chocolate ones back to the table. I plop down next to my girlfriend and hand her a milkshake.

"Thanks," She says and then pecks my lips quickly before turning back to Ryan's girlfriend.

"So Marty, what took so long? It never takes you that long to get over here," Paul asks.

"Were you and Jennifer having some couple time?" Leo asks and the other two boys start to snicker.

"No, not really," I say.

"Then what took so long?" Paul asks again.

"Strickland," I answer and my bandmates all reply with

"Oh!" at the same time. I nod at their exclamation.

"Yeah, and then somebody decided to set off the fire alarm today," I say and Ryan's eyes go wide.

"Strickland's gonna have someone in detention tonight!" He exclaims.

"Sure it's not you, Kelly?" Leo asks jokingly. I laugh along with Paul and Leo as Ryan's face flushes.

"He wouldn't pull the fire alarm," says Paul, "Strickland would hate the fact that he has a girlfriend." I nod my head in agreement with Paul.

"Strickland hates that I date Jennifer," I say and Ryan laughs along with me.  I slip my arm around Jennifer's shoulders and smile at her. "But that doesn't stop us, right?" I ask her and she nods.

"Right," She says with a smile. The new girl smiles at us and I ask Ryan,

"So Ryan, who is the girl?" The girl blushes at me and Ryan introduces us,

"Marty, meet Lindsey. Lindsey, meet Marty." The two of us shake hands and Lindsey says,

"You're the boy who saved me from that kid who was harassing me." I nod and the other boys' heads swivel in my direction.

"You did what?" They all ask at once, except for Ryan.

"Yeah," Lindsey says, "This kid wanted me to be his girlfriend and I told him I was taken, then Marty stepped in and took care of him."

"Who was bothering you?" Ryan asks her and Lindsey shrugs.

"Ryan, I've only been there for a day, how could I know who it was?" Lindsey says and Ryan turns to me.

"Who was bothering her, Marty?" He asks, hints of anger apparent in his voice.

"It was Needles, Ryan. But, don't worry, I took care of him for her. Besides, do you know how often I have to keep him away from Jennifer?" I ask and Ryan groans.

"Okay. You win," He says and I smile. I turn to Lindsey and I say,

"Oh! By the way, I don't think I caught your last name. What is it?" Lindsey and Ryan both turn to each other quickly.

"Tell me yours first," Lindsey says quickly and I raise an eyebrow.

"It's McFly," I say and I see Lindsey pale a little bit. At this point, I get a good look at her. Her red hair looks familiar and I have seen those blue eyes before. They look like another person's who I know. "Lindsey," I asks, "who are you?" Lindsey looks like a deer in caught in the headlights and Jennifer asks,

"Lindsey, are you okay?" Lindsey nods quickly and shifts uncomfortably next to her boyfriend. Ryan whispers something in her ear and Lindsey quickly shakes her head.

"I don't want to talk about it. I hate talking about that and you know it, Ryan," She growls at him and Ryan starts whispering in her ear. Lindsey shakes her head again and says, "NO!" very loudly. Quickly, she leaps onto the table, runs across it, jumps down to the floor and runs out the door. Since I sit on the end of the booth bench, I go after her. She starts running toward the street and from the way that she is running, I can tell that she is not paying attention to the traffic lights. I run up to her and I grab her arm.

"Lindsey!" I yell and I turn her to face me. She slaps my hand off of her arm and I groan. "Why are you so upset?" I ask gently and she turns to me.

"You would be to if you had to carry the joy of being a part of my messed up family," Lindsey growls and I look at her again. "That kid knows who I am," She says, not meeting my eyes.

"What kid?" I ask and Lindsey coldly meets my gaze.

"That kid who was harassing me," Lindsey snarls and she slams her fist into her palm. "I'm going to make him pay." I grab Lindsey's shoulders and look at her.

"Don't do that. You're starting to sound like Biff Tannen. You know who he is?" I ask and Lindsey glares at me.

"Of course I do, genius! I live in his house," Lindsey snarls again. I look at her and suddenly, everything falls into place. Lindsey's wild red hair and deep blue eyes look an awful lot like Biff Tannen's.

"You're a Tannen?" I ask and somehow it still comes across as sounding like disbelief.

"Yes, McFly! I'm Lindsey Tannen, daughter of the one and only Biff Tannen of Hill Valley."

AN:/ Yay! I finally finished the first chapter! I have been on a BTTF kick recently, so in the past two weeks, I have watched the first two of the trilogy. This was actually really fun to write. I have noticed that the fan base on here for BTTF is pretty small, but I'm hoping this story still gets some love anyways.  If you have not seen the BTTF trilogy, I highly encourage that you watch it before you read this. This chapter would have probably been okay, but the next chapters will not be. Just a fair warning. Anyways, what did you guys think? I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and I can't wait to write more for it. Feel free to tell me any of your thoughts on this story. I love feedback! I hope you enjoy this story. FYI, this one will also not have an update day. Unless, it is prewritten and I have finished writing it, then it will have an update day. But, currently, that's not the case and I don't have time to do that for all of my stories. :) What did you think of Lindsey? She is going to be a very interesting character, I can tell you that much already. I think she is going to fit in with Marty and his crew just fine. And I sort of left you on a cliffhanger! Classic me and those cliffhangers, lol. Anyways, hopefully, I'll post something else today. To all of my friends in the US, Happy Labor Day! See you around, friends!
