Today was Friday, which meant the Cover Girls reunion was tomorrow. I met the band at Twist for practice.

Alice tuned her bass while Kat pounded out a few beats on her drums and I looked over the song list as we waited for Bailey to show up.

Finally, she came strolling through the door, a bag in hand.

   We all looked up.

"What's in the bag?" Kat asked.

She smiled as she set it down and pulled a few vinyl records out. "These."

The rest of us shared confused glances.

"You know we don't own a record player, right?" I asked.

She shook her head. "That's not what they're for."

"Then what are they for?" Alice asked.

"I'm glad you asked." She said, flipping one over and pointing at the leather-clad band picture on the back.

I stared at it for a second before sighing. "I'm so lost."

   "Agreed." Kat said.

Bailey rolled her eyes. "Seriously? You people are impossible. We're doing an 80's themed concert were we have to dress up..." She said, pointing at the picture again.

A small smile formed on my lips. "You want us to dress up like them?" I asked.

She smiled back. "Not necessarily them. But, when I was a kid, I used to think these guys looked so cool. The studded jackets and bracelets, the crazy hair and makeup. So, I was thinking, since we have to dress up anyway, why not get the 80's rock band makeover!" She squealed.

   Kat stood up. "Hell yeah!"

   I chuckled. "I'm in."

A wide grin spread on Alices lips. "We're gonna look so cool!"

Bailey put the records back. "Great, let's get a move on then."

"What about band practice?" I asked.

"That can wait till later, this is more important." She replied.

I shook my head and laughed as I followed the rest of them out the door.

We hopped in my car and drove to the closest clothes store that matched our requirements.

We split off and looked for the coolest clothes we could find.

I settled for a black leather jacket with shiny silver studs, a pair of tight leather pants, some cool boots, and a few necklaces and studded bracelets.

After grabbing everything, I met the rest of the group by the changing rooms.

Kat went in first and came back out wearing a leather vest with a Megadeth tank top underneath, black skinny jeans and a few bracelets.

"Damn, I look good." She said, inspecting herself in a nearby mirror.

"Me next." Alice said, rushing into the changing room.

She came back out in a studded denim jacket with matching jeans and a killer pair of snakeskin boots.

"Those boots are badass." Bailey said.

   Alice smiled. "Thanks."

"Alright, I'll go next." I said before walking in and changing into my outfit.

Everyone seemed to approve and last but not least, Bailey went in to change.

"You guys ready?" She asked from behind the curtain.

"Hell yeah, let's see it, sister." Kat said.

She came strutting out in a leather jacket with a studded denim vest over it, tight black pants, studded fingerless gloves and knee high leather boots.

   We cheered and whistled.

She laughed. "C'mon, let's find someone to take a picture."

After finding an employee who kindly took a picture, we got changed, payed for everything, then headed back to Twist to finish up band practice.

"What's in the bags?" Blake asked as we walked through the doors.

"Our outfits for tomorrow." Bailey replied.

   Blake nodded.

Kat walked up and whispered in her ear. Blake smiled, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks. Then, she nodded and gave Kat a quick kiss.

The rest of us shared confused glances.

Kat pinched Blake's butt before walking back towards us. "Alright, ready for practice?" She asked before walking off towards the back room.

   We followed her.

"Uh, Kat, what was all that about?" I asked once we were inside.

She had a mischievous look on her face. "Nothing... just, all this leather gave me some ideas for later."

I shook my head. "Ugh, forget I asked."

  "I already have." She replied.

   Bailey and Alice chuckled.

After band practice, we joined Abigail and Dana at the bar.

"Hey, guys, how was practice?" Abigail asked.

I glanced at the rest of the band. "It was great. We've been apart for a while but, I think we're gonna burn this place to the ground."

"Not literally I hope." Blake replied with a chuckle.

   "No promises." Bailey said.

Everyone laughed as the doors opened.

I glanced over, seeing Rebecca and Candy walk through, deep in conversation.

"This is an interesting sight." I said.

Rebecca leaned down to give me a quick kiss before sitting next to me.

"Well, you never told me how cool Rebecca was." Candy said, taking a seat next to Dana.

Rebecca gasped and nudged me. "Wow, thanks."

I laughed lightly. "Hey, I married her for a reason, right?"

   Candy avoided my gaze. "Right..."

   I lowered my head. "Sorry."

She looked back at me, a new smile on her face. "Don't be... can I have a beer, Blake?"

She smiled and pulled a couple beers out. "Sure."

Candy reached into her purse to grab her wallet but, Dana stopped her, pulling a couple bucks from her pocket. "Let me get that for you."

Candy smiled and nodded. "Alright, thanks."

   Dana smiled back. "Sure thing."

I shook my head and faced Rebecca as they started talking.

"She works fast." Rebecca said, glancing at Dana and Candy.

I chuckled a little and looked down at my beer. "Yeah, I guess so."

Rebecca squeezed my hand. "Are you ok with that?"

I looked up at her and smiled. "Sure, as long as she's happy."

Rebecca smiled back. "Good... I don't want you running off after I just got you back."

I planted a soft kiss on her lips. "Trust me, I'm never letting you leave my side again."

"I don't plan on it." She replied.

"Good." I said before leaning in for another quick kiss.

"So, how are you guys feeling about tomorrow?" Candy asked the band.

"I'm super stoked, it's been way to long." Bailey said, wrapping her arms around our shoulders.

"Agreed, I'm so excited I probably won't get any sleep tonight." Alice added.

We laughed and Kat raised her beer. "To The Cover Girls!" She shouted.

"The Cover Girls!" Everyone shouted back before downing their drinks.
