Backstory: Alexanderia was taken at a young age, experimented on by the Foot Clan. When the turtles went on a raid, Mickey found the girl in a cage, huddled in one of the corners. The turtles took Alex with them, and the girl developed feelings for a certain red-masked turtle. Shredder was determined to find his "weapon", so he went after the turtles to get Alex back. Alex fought along-side the turtles to defeat Shredder, and gained her freedom.
