Backstory: Lily was 5 when Shiro took her away. Their mother had died giving birth to her, and their father was abusive to her, blaming their mother's death on her. Shiro couldn't bear to let his sister grow up with their father, so he found a place for them to live. Their father didn't stop them, yelling about how they were mistakes and disappointments as they left. Shiro raised Lily, teaching her everything she knew. After Shiro was lost in space, Lily immediately applied to the Garrison as a co-pilot. She was soon assigned with Lance McClain, Hunk Garret, and Pidge Gunderson. You pretty much know the rest.
