We all went our separate ways after finding clothes for the boys, and Natsu was hanging onto me more than usual. I groaned slightly as he swung from my arm before running ahead of me. " Wait up Natsu!" Happy called as he flew after the pink haired boy. I sighed and followed after them as they rounded the corner into the park. "Come on guys!" I called as I entered the park.

They were no where to be found and I groaned again as I began to search the park. The sun was starting to set and I was starting to get angry. " Lucy!" A small voice cried. I came around a corner to find Natsu clinging to the top branch of a tree, a dog barely bigger than Happy barking up at him. "What are you doing Natsu?" I asked, ignoring the dog. "Get rid of the dog Luce!" he cried and I had to stifle a laugh. " Are you afraid of this puppy? " I asked as I bent to pet the puppy. " N-Natsu way! I haven't been afraid of dogs since I was a kid!" he stuttered. I refrained from pointing out that he WAS a kid.

I stood below him and opened out my arms to him. "Come on Natsu, I won't let the big bad dog get you. Let's go home and make some curry for dinner." He sniffed a little. "And pot stickers?" I couldn't stop my grin. " And pot stickers." He slid of the tree branch and I caught him, walking around the dog as Happy flew behind us. I blushed brightly as Natsu clung to me but I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. We got home and I made the promised dinner, Natsu sitting contently on the counter as he watched me cook. Once we were finished eating I took a quick shower, stifling a laugh as I came out to find the tiny Natsu asleep at my table.

I gently picked him up, Happy already asleep in my recliner, and curled up with Natsu under the comforter. His tiny body was still warm like before, but now he nestled into.my neck with a content smile. I smiled softly and closed my eyes, falling asleep.to the gentle rhythm of the rain.
