Clay was awoken by the smell of deer. It smelt delicious. Peril was nowhere in sight. She must still be angry at me, he thought. I wonder where she is now. He took a chomp out of the deer and started devouring it, no sign of Peril. Where could she have gone? He then snorted to himself. Stop caring she's Turtle's. He tried to clear his mind but could not seem to take the dragoness' concern out of his mind. "Still I wonder where she is," he said aloud to himself. She's Turtle's. It was funny because even though Turtle told him to stay away from the SkyWing, she had never shot Turtle anything but a disgusted glance. Peril obviously doesn't feel the same way- he clawed himself -why am I thinking these things? I shouldn't be! Clay thought he heard a voice say,"You know why, your just blind to see it." Clay looked around he couldn't see where the voice came from. "What don't I see?" If by magic it answered,"you'll find out in due time."  Clay looked around. "Who are you?" The voice answered almost immediately,"I cannot reveal that, just know that I'm invisible." From that moment onward Clay sat in awkward silence letting the words sink in. What did the invisible NightWing mean? Clay couldn't be sure. It was awhile before he noticed a couple of leaves near the pond. Clay moved towards them and looked down at the fish and his stomach growled. "I've already eaten," he growled at his belly. His mind taunted him. You really think one deer is enough to full you up after a four day food less trip? I think not. It sneered. Clay's stomach rumbled again. "Still hungry? So am I," said the voice of Peril which was followed a rumble from her stomach. Clay smiled. I might not know of what the NightWing meant but at least I'm with her.
