Peril awoke to the smell of fish and was surprised to find one in front of her. She looked around, Blume was asleep but Clay was nowhere to be found. She blushed when she realised what Clay had done. He had woken first and had obviously hunted probably getting a fish for himself and her. This made a question cross her mind. Does he like me back? Peril's face reddened even more and she stared into space as she took a shaky bite of the silver fish in front of her. Thoughts of Clay racing through her mind. "Vell, zomeone looks flustered," a voice said causing Peril to jump. Her head whipped around to see Blume walking toward her. Blume took one sniff of the fish and her expression grew sly. "Oh, ze male," she mumbled teasingly, causing Peril to go scarlet. "I zee," she finished mocking slightly. Peril narrowed her eyes but was still blushing scarlet. Blume snickered quietly to herself, while giving Peril a "I know" look. "Ve'll just ave to zee what the male thinks," she murmured. "Please, don't tell him!" Peril blurted out suddenly. "Vell... Okay sweetie," Blume teased. Blume started to walk over to her side of the cave. Blume left Peril fuming. I have to get out of this stuffy and crowded cave. Peril raced out of the cave and overshot the cliff edge and toppled downward. That was until she felt strong paws go around her waist and the feeling of being lifted. She hesitantly looked up to see Clay looking down at her and his eyes held an emotion she couldn't decipher.
