Six months later; April 3rd.

A small summary of the past six months;

Micah, Chris, and a couple other friends got together to buy Mykailla a car for her six-months-seizure-free mark. Mykailla has been able to drive for a couple months now.. She got a job at a bookstore, and she is very happy. She still lives with Micah though; out of choice.

Mykailla still hasn't figured out her other feelings towards Ricky, though she still hasn't tried to resolve their issues. Chris and Micah have been considering intervening a lot more seriously now.

Ricky had only come over twice in those six months... When he and Micah wanted to hangout they went to Ricky's house.

Chris was over there all the time now, however.

It honestly was almost as if he lived there.

Not that Micah or Mykailla minded.

"Hey, Micah?" Mykailla called out, coming down the stairs, still towel drying her, newly dyed, dark purple hair.

"Hm?" Micah hummed a response, peeking his head out of the kitchen. "Color looks good on you, by the way."

Mykailla smiled. "Thanks. Is Chris here still?"

"Nah, he's hangin' with the guys." Micah popped his head back in the kitchen, and Mykailla headed in there as well, throwing her damp towel into the wash room on her way. She leaned on the doorframe, her arms crossed. Her brother continued. "They're at Ryan's. I think they're preparing for tour, or something like that."

Mykailla frowned. "That's- That's not for another month and a half."

Micah nodded, getting some orange juice from the fridge. He shook the carton at Mykailla, raising an eyebrow. Mykailla shook her head. Micah shrugged, grabbing himself a glass, and pouring his juice. "Well, they have to plan ahead, I guess." He put the juice back in the fridge.

"..." Mykailla stared blankly at nothing in particular.

".. Mykes, you okay?"

"Yeah, I just-" Mykailla blinked, then sighed, walking over to the island and sitting herself down on one of the bar stools that sat in front of it. "They've been here so long, that I just got too used to it, I guess."

Micah nodded, sipping his orange juice.

"... I mean, I barely got to spend time with any of them; other than Chris and.. Ricky."

"They're not leaving yet, so you still have time." Micah set his juice down, then leaned forward on the counter, resting his weight on his elbows. "And, speaking of Ricky-"

"We weren't speaking of Ricky."

"You said his name, therefore we were."

Mykailla narrowed her eyes slightly, making Micah chuckled.

"Anyway, you and him need to work out.. Whatever your guys' problem is."

"..."

"... Mykailla, this has gone on for years." Micah groaned. "Please try."

".... Only, I repeat, ONLY, if you get him to agree." Mykailla was quickly starting to angry, even thinking about him.. And she didn't even know why.

"Fuuuuuu***k." Micah groaned, standing up straight again. "Because that's gonna work out."

Mykailla huffed, sliding off her chair. "I'm going out. See you," She looked at her watch. "in abooout.. Two, three hours."

"Okay," Micah sighed. "That'll be around seven, so, I'll have dinner ready."

"Thank you," Mykailla smiled. She exited the room, and jogged upstairs to get properly dressed and to fix her hair and makeup.

"Okay, guys." Chris clapped once, gathering the attention of all his bandmates. "So, what're we gonna do for Mykailla's birthday?"

"We could take her out to eat?" Vinny suggested.

"Throw her a surprise party!" Balz said, grinning.

"Nothing." Ricky muttered dully.

"Take her on tour?" Ryan raised an eyebrow.

"Buy her some more art supplies? She needs more of those." Devin shrugged.

Chris pointed at Vinny. "Maybe."

He moved on to Balz, chuckling. "You know she hates those."

Then to Ricky. "Come up with something, Ricky."

"Ehhh," Chris kinda shrugged at Ryan's idea. "Maybe.. I don't know if she'll be able to last with that one," He pointed to Ricky. "On the bus." Ryan nodded, mumbling, "True."

Then lastly, to Devin. "We could do that, but with something else too."

"Why do we have to do something though?" Ricky asked, leaning back in the recliner he was sitting in. "She's an adult. She doesn't need presents, or a party."

"Come on, Ricky," Balz sighed, smacking Ricky's arm gently from his spot perched on the armrest of the recliner. "Don't be a dick. We know you don't like her, but it's her twentieth birthday. It's important."

"You still like to have people at least acknowledge you, on your birthday, don't you?" Vinny asked Ricky, raising an eyebrow.

Ricky looked around the room briefly, then sighed quietly, crossing his arms. "I guess. It's just- I don't- I don't know." He shook his head, then stood up, almost causing Balz to fall off the chair. "I'm going out for a smoke. Plan what you will."

Chris raised an eyebrow. "Okay..?"

Ricky headed to the patio outback, pulling his lighter and cigarettes out from his pocket. What is happening to me.

~

Everyone was silent for a moment, looking between each other.

Then Ryan finally spoke in a quiet tone. "What's wrong with Ricky?" He asked no one in particular.

Chris crossed his arm, shaking his head slightly. "I don't know." He sighed quietly. "I. Don't. know..."

"You know," Devin finally spoke again. "We were talking about Mykailla, when he started acting weird."

"And...?" Balz questioned, raising an eyebrow as he took Ricky's old spot on the recliner.

Everyone was quiet again as they waited for Devin to clarify. But, before he could, Chris spoke.

"Oh gosh.." His eyes widened slightly as he put it together. "No.." He looked out to the back patio, seeing Ricky's outline through the glass doors, before turning back to everyone.

"He's falling in love with her."
