Adrien's POV:

 Adrien and Marinette's engagement celebration went well. Nathalie, Alix, and Robbie joined them for the festivities. The intruder waited until the others had gone to bed.

     Then, he ran toward Adrien and tried to kill him. Adrien struck with his sword. The person who attacked him lay dead at his feet. He sighed. He hated it when that happened. He did not want to kill them but whoever it was had given him no choice. 

     Then, another creep entered Marinette's room and pulled her off the bed. They tried to grab her up to carry her off.  Marinette pulled out a knife. "You will leave and never return or you will regret the day you dared to enter the palace," She said.  The bad person laughed. They did not think she would do anything to them.

     Whoever it was attacked her and got the knife away from her. They held the knife to her thoart. Adrien heard a noise in her room and went to see what the noise was about in the middle of the night. He saw someone standing there trying to slite his fiance's thoart. Not on my watch, he thought and acted fast. He took the freshly cleaned sword and used it to defend her. The man fell over.

     Blood gushed out of his body. The man was dead. Marinette spun around and saw the dead man. Eww, she thought. She threw up at the sight. She never did do so well seeing a dead body, especially one with so much blood.

     Adrien cleaned up the mess. He was careful to wear gloves. He notified the police and they were on their way.  The police arrived and took the dead bodies out of there. "Sorry, your majesty. King Adrien, we will see they are returned to their families."  Adrien agreed that was the best and the police left.

  Marinette came, out of the bathroom, and saw the mess was all cleaned up. She saw Adrien standing there looking at her. His sword was dirty. "Clean your sword," she said. She had returned her knife to the side sheath.  Adrien cleaned the sword and put it back inside the sheath. Then, he turned to her. "Marinette, I hope you will be quite all right my dear. I came as fast as I could," Adrien said.

    "I am fine, Adrien," Marinette said. She was startled when the burglar out-witted her and took her knife.  No one had done that in years.  She was relieved Adrien had come to her aid when she needed it.  Adrien hugged her. Marinette hugged him.

       The two kissed. (*Author's note: She had brushed her teeth after she threw up)

        Robbie, Alix, and Nathalie who had woken up because of all the noise saw them together and smiled.  They knew the wedding would be soon. Robbie went back to the guest room. Alix returned to her room. Nathalie returned to her room.

 Adrien took Marinette to her quarters. He thought soon my love we shall sleep in the same room. Once we are wed, I will stay with you. He grinned at the thought. He kissed her good night. Then, he returned to his room and slept with the upcoming wedding on his mind.
