I gaze upon the stars,
Wondering what set your mind to leave,
What possibly could have been enough...
Enough to send you over the edge,
Metaphorically and literally.

These thoughts they flood my mind,
Like the river that snatched your soul...
Why had no one seen you?
How long were you alone and did you feel pain?
Questions which forever stand in limbo, much like my broken heart that continues to grieve you...

So young and hurt,
The world claimed its victim,
And though you faught a hard battle,
The war became unbeatable...
Forever on our hearts, as it should be,
I do wonder how those responsible will pay...
