Y/n's POV
"Alright then," Lily replied. "If you insist. I'll just tell RJ and Wu that you're not joining us."

"Thanks, Lils," I said. "I just want some time to myself. Have fun with the Ninja."

Once Lily and Misako had left, I turned to the bedside table, grabbed my phone, plugged in my headphones, and started to turn on some music. But then I noticed the photo album with my family photos in it, the ones with Mom in them.

"Huh?" I asked myself. "How did this get here? I don't remember this being here. Oh well." I decided not to question it and just turned on my music.

But then I remembered when my mom would sing me to sleep when I had a nightmare.

"Mom," I mumbled, tears streaming down my cheeks. "It's Dad's fault that she's dead. He's the one who killed her!"

I ultimately turned on the one song that played at Mom's funeral, Love the Way You Lie by Rihanna, but the Ariana Grande cover. Once the song started playing, I turned over to look at the photo album and ultimately started to look through it again.

As soon as I was done singing, I heard the next song play. I mean, it helps me to listen to my music when thinking about my mother.

"I miss you, Mom," I sighed. "Dad's done nothing but abuse me and put me down. I just wish that he never sided with Dai Shi. It hurts me to have to fight him."

Just then, I heard someone cough and someone else tell them to shut up. So I turned around and saw everyone from my team and the Ninja watching me and that's when I realized that they heard me singing.

"H-how long were you guys there?" I stuttered.

"The entire time," Dominic answered. "You know you have a beautiful voice."

"Why don't you sing for the customers at Jungle Karma Pizza?" Theo asked. "I'm sure that Master Feather would be proud of you if you did."

"Because I don't like singing in front of others," I replied. "The last time I sang for someone, it was at my mother's funeral. Even then, my father hit me and put me down. He said that I would never live up to his or my mother's expectations. So singing in the shower or in my room, alone, helps me to escape his cruelty. He would never understand that whenever I'm singing, I feel close to my mother."

"Why not give it a try when and if we get back to our world?" Lily suggested. "And if you don't like it, you can always go back to helping me and the others out in the kitchen. Does that sound like a plan? I know you'll do great."

"Alright," I agreed, albeit reluctantly. "I'll give it a shot. But if I get scared and freeze up, you'll know where I'll be."

"We understand," RJ stated. "All we ask is that you try your best. I'm sure that the customers would like some live music once in awhile."

"Well," Casey interrupted. "Since we're all here, how about another song? Is that alright, Y/n?"

"Yeah!" everyone cheered.

Then I noticed Dominic walk up to me. I just wish that I could tell him how I feel. I mean, he's kind, gentle, caring, understanding, nice, hard working, and would do anything to protect his team mates. I guess that those are some of the reasons that I'm attracted to him. Just then, I was pulled down from Cloud 9 when he started to ask something.

Dominic's POV
"Earth to Y/n. You in there?" I asked. "You look like someone just saved you from a building about to collaspe. You alright?"

"H-huh?" Y/n stuttered. "O-oh! Y-yeah. I'm fine. I was just thinking about something. What's up?"

"Well," I started. "Since everyone's wanting you to sing another song, I was just wondering if you were going to sing for us again."

"W-well," she stuttered again, this time blushing from what I think is embarrassment. "S-sure. Why not? What could go wrong?"

"Great," I cheered.

Y/n's POV
"Just let me pick out a good song," I told Dominic.

"Alright," Dominic said.

After that, I went to grab my phone from my bedside table but didn't see it. Then I started to look in my back pockets and found it there. After finding my phone, I pulled up my music app and started to look for the right song. That's when I forgot that I had Home by Daughtry downloaded. So I decided to sing that.

"I have the song I wanna sing," I said.

"Yeah!" the other Rangers cheered.

"Alright!" the Ninja cried.

Before I started singing, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath that was desprately needed.

"I haven't sang in front of others since Mom's funeral," I thought, keeping my eyes closed. "Well, no time like the present, I guess."

I decided to sing with my eyes closed instead of keeping them open when I'm singing.

Once I was done, I opened my eyes and saw that everyone in the room but was covered in scratches.

"OH MY GOD!" I squealed. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what happened. This normally doesn't happen when I sing that song!"

Just then, I saw Master Wu come into my room. I couldn't bare to explain everything to Master, so I just ran out of the room, and eventually ran out of the monatery.

Narrator's POV
"What happened here?" Master Wu asked. "And why is everyone covered in scratch marks?"

"Well," Lloyd started. "We all heard someone singing so we all decided to see who it was."

"Turns out that it was Y/n singing!" Jay intterupted. "And she's really good!"

"Anyways," Kai continued. "When she was done, Lightning Mouth over here had to cough and almost gave us away, so I had to tell him to shut up. But instead of Jay giving us away, I did."

"So Y/n turned around and Lily, Theo, and RJ tried to calm her down," Cole added. "Lily suggested that she sing for the customers at this Jungle Karma Pizza when they get back to their world, and Y/n agreed."

"That's when Casey over here had the idea for her to sing another song for us," Theo stated. "She was a bit hesitant, but Dominic somehow convinced her to do it."

"So she pulled up her song and started singing," Nya finished. "And the next thing we know, we're covered in scratches, you walk in, and she runs out of the room."

"I see," Master Wu replied. "Well then. RJ, would you please follow me? It seems that the young (f/c) ranger has some hidden talents regarding her animal spirit."

"Of course," RJ agreed, following Sensei Wu out of the room.

Lloyd's POV
"Now then," I started. "We need to figure out where that (f/c) ranger could be. Casey, Lily, Theo, Dominic. Since you guys have known her longer, do you think that she's found a place here that can calm her down when she gets like this?"

"This is a first for us too, man," Casey argued. "She's never done anything like this before."

"Yeah," Lily continued. "Y/n's normally a very calm and collected person."

"That is unless her father and Dai Shi decide to attack Ocean Bluff," Theo added. "Then she immediately runs into battle with Master Nyx."

Just then, the alarm went off.

"Well speak of the devil," Cole interrupted. "We better get going before Master Nyx and Portal Master decide to turn Ninjago into a wasteland."

"But what about RJ and Y/n?" Zane asks. "Would it be imperative that we inform them of the situation?"

"Don't worry about n/n, Zane," Dominic countered. "She has a knack for knowing when her father and Dai Shi decide to attack the city. Kind of like a sixth sense in a way. She'll be there, trust me. Even if she gets attacked, she can handle herself."

"Very well then," Zane said, leaving it at that. "Let's go!"

"Took the words right out of my mouth," Casey and I exclaimed. Then we both looked at each other.

"Ready, Lloyd?" Casey asked.

"Ready, Casey," I agreed.

"NINJAGO!" me and the guys shout, doing Spinjitzu. When we stop, we're wearing our ninja gis. We wait until the rangers are all morphed and ready to go.

"Ready?!" Casey shouts. Then he, Lily, and Theo take out...sunglasses? Meanwhile, Dominic's bracelet just turns into this huge weapon, that's also apparently a morpher.

"Ready!" Theo, Lily, and Dominic exclaim.

"Jungle Beast! Spirit Unleashed!" they all yell. The rangers all push a button on their respective morphers and they start their morphing sequence.

"SO COOL!" Jay cheers, starting to fanboy. "I can't wait to see them fight!"

"Dude," I groaned. "We literally...you know what? Fine. Whatever."

After I physically facepalm myself, I look up to see that the rangers were now fully morphed and ready to go.

"Let's go!" Casey and I order our respective teams.
