Enzo knew he was a bit of a 'know it all', and the kids at his school made sure he knew that. He looked around trying to find his plane. He thought of himself as an experienced flier but this was the first time he had done it alone. Sighing he pushed his glasses back up his face, shifting his carry-on bag. He heard foot steps from behind him but thought nothing of it since there were many people all around him but these one seemed different.  They had an edge too them, well you know if footsteps could have an edge to them. "Hey buddy," a guy behind him said. However, it wasn't some random dude.  Enzo knew that voice, he hated that voice, a voice he thought he could trust. The voice belonged to a person that didn't deserve his tears. This guy was none other than Ryker Scott, the 'cool' kid. Enzo searched for one of Ryker's nasty little buddies but found none. Ryker was unfortunately talking to him. He sounded so genuine the hopeful part of Enzo believed he had changed in the past five days. Once Enzo had turned himself all the was facing him head on, Ryker looked 'surprised' to see him, "Oh sorry, I thought you were someone who had friends, my bad."  The insult stung badly. Enzo tried to bite back a response not really wanting to talk to him but he had little luck.

"Rather have no friends than have friends that could turn there back on me when the next best person is presented." Ryker face showed a flash of shock, but her recovered quickly. Enzo never fought back from his bullies he seemed to have more confidence away from everyone else. Ryker was going to make sure he didn't get cocky again.Enzo and Ryker had a stare down neither backing down. "Quit being such a know it all, four-eyes," Ryker shot back glaring at him. Enzo rolled his eyes unimpressed with the insult. "What are you rolling your eyes at shrimp?" "Nothing," Enzo said sarcastically looking at the ground avoiding his gaze.

Ryker raised an eyebrow unconvinced, "Right, well then tell me this how did an idiot like you find your way to the airport? Are you running away?" Another one of those insults that wouldn't make sense unless it was for him. Enzo's father had left his family without a word when he was a little kid. His mom was forced to get a job to provide for them. Ryker would know this since he was the guy Enzo counted on in hard times, or at least he used to until he left him for 'better' friends.

Enzo took a deep calming breath. Then turned to leave Ryker hoping, praying he would just let him go. His had no such luck because Ryker reached out grasping his shoulder harshly. Enzo stopped in his steps wincing from Ryker's tight grip. "Please let go," Enzo said quietly keeping his head cast downward. "Answer my questions and I will," Ryker demanded.  Enzo sighed pushing up his blue glasses. "If you must know, I qualified for an academic decathlon in Alaska." Ryker scrunched up his nose in disgust. "Now let go!" Ryker shoved Enzo letting go of his shoulder. Enzo stumbled running into a girl, she shrieked glaring at him. "Oh, uh sorry miss," Enzo apologized. She rolled her eyes pushing him away from her, strutting off.
"Klutz," Ryker growled shoving him again as he walked past him and into the crowds. Enzo stumbled once again dodging the people around him. Sighing he fixed his glasses and bag standing up straight finding he was in front of the sign that let you know where you could find you flight. He searched finding his plane. "M eight," Enzo muttered under his breath looking up towards the signs on the walls and finding the sign that pointed him towards where to go to find his flight. Glad he wouldn't be seeing Ryker again for the rest of the summer. He would be in Alaska where he could experience the shortest days ever and get to look at the northern lights.
