Chapter 1- Into the Manor

"Hello and welcome to News Channel 43! I'm Casey here with interesting news for not only Gothamites but the whole world. For 1 month, Bruce Wayne has allowed us access to his life! For 1 month, we will livestream directly from Bruce Wayne's location. This is inside Bruce Wayne's life. We now go to Cierra, who is on the street." Casey switched the camera over.

"We are in one of Bruce Wayne's limos. Have you ever been in a limo before, Charlie?" Cierra asked.

The camera shook no.

"We are currently being driven to Wayne Manor by Bruce Wayne's bulter, Alfred Pennyworth." Cierra said.

"How are you, Mr. Pennyworth?" Cierra asked.

"Alfred only, please, my dear." Alfred smiled kindly and looked at them through the review mirror.

"Alfred, how are you?" Cierra asked.

"I am doing fine, Ms. Gravis." Alfred said.

"Oh no! If I'm calling you Alfred, then you call me Cierra!" Cierra said.

Alfred chuckled, "Yes then, Ms. Cierra."

"That title extends to both of you, might I add." Alfred said, looking at Charlie.

"I'm Charlie then!" Charlie waved.

"What's your official title and WOW! we are far from the city!" Cierra said, looking out the window.

"You would not believe me if I said. And yes, Wayne Manor is a quite a ways from the city." Alfred answered.

"Try me. I've heard crazy things on this job." Cierra said.

"Everything." Alfred said.

"Everything?" Charlie and Cierra asked at the same time.

"Everything." Alfred said.

"I thought you were just the butler." Cierra said.

"I am the butler, cook, maid, nanny, gardener, and anything else you can think of." Alfred said.

"I thought he had a whole crew." Charlie said.

"Yes, he does. Which I command. However, I am the only full-time, live-in crew." Alfred said.

"So, you're with them 24/7?" Cierra asked.

"Yes." Alfred confirmed.

"So, what should we expect?" Cierra asked.

"Normally, we do not speak ill of our Masters and Mistresses, however, this is one time. Expect insanity." Alfred said.

He pulled into the Manor's driveway.

The fountain sprung several streams of water out of a giant swan.

"Also, you will find some...discrepancies among the members of this household." Alfred said as he pulled and parked the limo in the garage.

"Discrepancies?" they both asked.

"Yes." Alfred said, closing the garage door.

Charlie whistled as he got out of the limo, "Nice motorcycles!"

"Yes. Masters Bruce, Jason, and Richard are collectors." Alfred said.

The three of them went through the garage door and into the Manor.

"Welcome to Wayne Manor. Your jackets and shoes, please." Alfred stopped them.

Cierra and Charlie took off their shoes and light jackets.

"I shall show you to your guest rooms. Ms. Cierra, you will share a wing with the girls and Mr. Charlie, you will share a wing with the boys." Alfred said.

"They get a wing to themselves?" they both asked.

"Yes, however, they all keep their rooms close to each other." Alfred said.

"Hey, Alfred! Have you seen my-" Jason immediately stopped talking and looked at the camera.

"Is that...Jason Todd?" Cierra asked in disbelief with wide eyes.

"No way!" Charlie said, getting a good look with the camera.

"Discrepancies, my ass! Jason Todd is ALIVE!" Cierra yelled.

"Oh. Yeah, I've been alive for almost 2 years. Say thanks to Bruce on that one. Also, this place is crazy. It's like a Mini-Arkham where the patients run free and no one is hurt savagely, most of the time. Trust me, I've been to Arkham." Jason smirked darkly.

"Hoe did that happen?" Cierra asked.

Jason's jaw clenched and his fists clenched, "Dickhead."

He stormed out and left them confused.

Alfred, who disappeared sometime during their confrontation, reappeared.

"I have taken the liberty of taking your luggage to your rooms. If you would follow me." Alfred said, taking them to the boys' wing first.

"Do not enter anyone's room unless the door is open or you have permission." Alfred said.

All the doors had gold-plated name plates on them.

The first one they came to was one on their left titled 'Richard'.

The door across from that was labeled 'Bruce'.

Next on the left was 'Jason'

Then 'Tim' on the right, across from Jason's.

And finally 'Damian' on the left.

"You shall be sleeping here, Mr. Charlie." Alfred opened the door across from Damian's.

As said, Alfred had all of Charlie's luggage in his room.

"Cool! Thank you, Alfred!" Charlie smiled.

Alfred nodded, "Now, this way, Ms. Cierra."

Alfred led them to the girls' wing.

The first door was also gold-plated that said 'Stephanie'.

Across her room, on the left, was 'Cassandra'.

"Your room is here." Alfred opened the door next to Cassandra's.

Both their guest rooms had a bed with lots of pillows and blankets, a bookcase full of books and small trinkets, a desk with stocked drawers, a walk-in closet, and an attached bathroom.

"My! This is nice." Cierra said.

"Yes, staying with the Waynes' opens up your eyes." Alfred said.

"I suppose. I never really thought about that, Alfie! Remember when I used to live in an apartment with my mom?" A girl with long blonde hair asked.

"Yes, all of you had a big cultural shock." Alfred nodded.

"So, who's this?" The girl bounced over, "I'm Stephanie! But most people call me Steph!" Steph held her hand out.

"Cierra Gravis. I'm a reporter for News Channel 43 and this is my camera man, Charlie Posli." Cierra shook Steph's hand. (*Gravis= [Gr-ah-vis] and Posli [Pose-lee])

"Why is there reporters here?" Steph asked Alfred.

"They will be live-streaming Master Bruce's life for a month." Alfred said.

"Wait. They're living with us for a month?!" Steph asked with wide eyes.

"Yes. Do you have a problem with Master Bruce's decision?" Alfred asked.

"There's sensitive information here! A-And what about privacy?" Steph asked.

"No one is allowed to go into your rooms without permission or if the door isn't open." Alfred said.

Stephanie was still frowning, "Just wished he told us."

"No tells." Another girl appeared from no where.

"No tells?" Cierra asked.

"She means that Bruce barely tells us anything." Steph said.

"Cass." Cassandra said.

"This is Cassandra, but she goes by Cass." Steph said.

Cierra held out her hand so that Cass would shake it, but Cass didn't.

Instead, Cass stared Cierra in the eyes.

She then stared Charlie in the eyes.

"Good." Cass said and shook their hands.

"What?" Charlie asked, knowing something happened, but not sure what.

"You passed Cass' test! She reads people real well and you passed. " Steph nodded in approval.

Suddenly, the front door closed.

"Master Bruce is home." Alfred said.

"How do you know it's not Dick or Jason or Tim or Damian?" Steph asked.

"Master Damian came home with you two, it is Master Jason's day-off, so he has been home for all of today, Master Tim is out with friends, and Master Richard is pulling a day and night shift at Bludhaven." Alfred said.

"Wow. I barely remember where I put my keys! Let alone the location of a big family!" Cierra was impressed.

"That is just one of my many jobs." Alfred said as he started to walk away.

Everyone followed.

They soon found themselves back at the main entrance.

And Bruce Wayne was taking off his shoes.
