The girls huddle together as the freezing air rushes over them and snow falls from the sky. "We're underground... How the flip is there snow...?" Kendal grumbles. The girls continue forward, a couple almost tripping over a large stick in the middle of the path. A rickety bridge appears in front of them and they walk over it one at a time so they don't break it. "So where are we, Flowey?" Emma asks. "This is Snowdin. It use to be a great place with good food, drink, and friends, but after the last human fell down and left, it changed. It became quiet and dismal." The blue-petaled flower says. After solving a couple puzzles, a yell startles the girls, causing Jen to slip on a patch of ice and fall on her butt. Emma looks around and spots a male with white hair, purple eyes, coal black skin and horns running towards them. Strangely enough, the male is wearing a lab coat. Not exactly what you'd wear in the snow. The others seem to notice the male, but he was already close and they were curious so they don't run.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Neo demands as she pushes to the front of the group when the newcomer skids to a stop in front of them. The male tries to catch his breath before looking up at the tall female and sighing. "My name is Travis. Please, you have to come with me or you won't survive down here." He says, still a little out of breath. Neo narrows her eyes. "Why should we go with you? For all we know, you could kill us the moment we turn our backs." Neo's mind was screaming stranger danger, but for some reason, a pulling feeling in her chest was telling her she could trust this 'Travis' person. "Because if you don't, the Royal Guard will capture you and kill you. Please. You have to trust me." Travis pleads with the girls. With a sigh, Neo motions for him to take them where they need to go. The horned male smiles and leads them back the way they came.

Soon, they reached a seemingly empty area. Travis stomps on the ground for a few moments before a loud metallic thud resounds. He pushes the snow away, revealing a metal door in the ground. He pulls it open and starts to walk down the stone steps. The girls follow after him, closing the trapdoor behind them. Slowly, as they descended, it got warmer and they stopped clinging to each other for warmth. "Welcome to the remains of Snowdin Town." Travis says with a flourish of his hands. The under-underground town was bustling with activity. The group stuck close together so that none of them got lost while following Travis through the crowd. At the end of the mini cavern, the horned male pushes open a door and steps through with the girls close behind him. "I'm back!" He yells into the dark place as he pulls off his snow boots. The lights flicker on as a new voice yells something back. "In the kitchen!" They yell. Strange... Their voice almost sounds... Robotic... Travis motions for the girls to follow him and they walk across the house to a small kitchen with two metal males sitting at a table. One had brown hair and green eyes while the other had black hair that covered one of his bright blue eyes. "Who are they?" The brown haired one asks, raising a metal eyebrow. "Oh! Vlyad, Zane, this is... Shoot... I forgot to ask for your names..." Travis' face flushes light violet with embarrassment as he realizes.

"I'm Kendal, this is my girlfriend, Lauren, my cousin, Emma, and my best friends, Karma, Jen, Neo, and Neko." The blue-eyed girl points to each girl as she introduces them. They wave in unison. The green eyed bot smiles while the other just scowls at the girls. "What's your problem?" Emma scowls right back at him. The bot just scoffs and leaves. "Don't mind my brother, he's just being..." Vlyad trails off as he tries to think of a way to describe his brother's behavior. "Edgy Mc My Chemical Romance." Travis finishes for him. "I heard that!" The grouchy robot yells from his new position in the house. "Go back to watching your horse show!" Travis yells back. "I don't watch that show! It's for little babies!" Zane yells, sounding extremely flustered. "Then explain why I keep finding discs for the show near your charging station?" The argument continued on like that for several minutes with the girls trying to suppress the giggles that were threatening to escape, and succeeding for the most part until Lauren say something. "You two sound like an old married couple." Travis and Zane stop arguing long enough to yell, "We're not a couple!" in unison. That is the phrase that broke the giggle dam. It got so bad that Jen falls on her butt for a second time that day. Eventually, they calm down, gasping for breath.

"You seven are strange." Flowey speaks for the first time since entering Travis' home, causing Travis to notice him for the first time. The color drains from his face as he takes a stumbling step away. "Kendal, get that thing off your arm. It's extremely dangerous." He points an accusing finger at the blue-petaled flower. "No, he's not. Flowey kinda helped us through the RUINS. He's a good guy. Why would you think he's dangerous?" Kendal asks. "Oh, I don't know... Maybe because he's destroyed this timeline over and over and over!" Now, its Flowey's turn to have the color drain from his face. "H-how do you know about... That?" He stutters. "A little birdie told me." Travis produces a small leather-bound journal with the word Aphmau written on the cover. A sharp intake of breath right in Kendal's ear signals that her flower friend gasped. By this time, Vlyad decided to leave and slunk out of the kitchen before war broke out. "How did you get that?! She always locked her bedroom and lab door! She never EVER let ANYONE in there!" Flowey exclaims. "When your supposed-to-be-dead brother took over the underground, Snowdin was ransacked. They went missing and her door was unlocked. After all the Royal Guard cleared out, I snuck in to see if I could find anything to help them out. I found this book and you know the rest, Dante." Travis spits the name out like its been soaked in poison.

"Wait, I'm extremely confused. Someone, start at square one and explain." Neko says. Travis sighs and motions for the girls sit at the now empty table. "How much of the story of monsters do you all know?" He asks as he turns a chair backwards and sits down with the back of the chair between his legs. "Just the basics, I guess. Basically, the humans and monsters went to war and the humans won, so they sealed the monsters underground. That's about all we know." Jen says. "It's pretty much just a bedtime story for little kids now." Neo adds on. "Okay, not too bad. Well, after we were sealed underground, a human, a boy named Gene, fell down. Injured by his fall, he called out for help. Dante, the king's son, heard the human's call. He brought the human back to the castle. Over time, Dante and the human became like brothers. The King and Queen treated the human child as their own. The underground was full of hope. Then... One day... The human became very ill. The sick human had only one request. To see the flowers from their village. But there was nothing we could do. The next day.... Gene died. Dante, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's soul. He transformed into a being with incredible power. With the human soul, Dante crossed through the barrier. He carried his brother's body into the sunset, back to the village of the humans. Dante reached the center of the village. There, he found a bed of brilliant blue flowers. He carried the human onto it. Suddenly, screams rang out. The villagers saw Dante holding the human's body .They thought that he had killed Gene. The humans attacked him with everything they had. He was struck with blow after blow. Dante had the power to destroy them all. But... Dante did not fight back. Clutching the human... Dante smiled, and walked away. Wounded, the prince stumbled home. He entered the castle and collapsed, his dust spread across the garden. The kingdom fell into despair. The king and queen had lost two children in one night. The humans had once again taken everything from us. The king decided it was time to end our suffering. Every human who falls down here must die. With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever. But that plan failed..." Travis trails off, seemingly lost in thought. He shakes his head, snapping himself out of the daze before taking a breath to continue.

"Six other humans fell down and were killed. When the seventh fell, our lives seemed to be repeating themselves. Constant deja vu, you know? Somehow, they stayed alive and got past every single trap, puzzle, and monster that got in their way without hurting anyone. When they got to the capital, they were going to fight our king, King Gabriel. They did and they killed him. They never hurt another soul, only the king. After they killed him, they passed through the barrier and went about their own life again, I guess. Our queen, Queen Zoey, returned and took over the underground for a while, but she just disappeared one day. Without a ruler, the underground fell into chaos. Suddenly, an announcement was made. We had a ruler again. One that died a long time ago. Somehow, Gene came back from the dead and he's the tyrant ruling the monsters. He had the entire underground searched for anyone that might oppose him. Many monsters were taken from their homes, their friends, their family and turned to dust on television. Most of my friends were taken, but I never saw them killed. They're still out there, but I can't do anything about it. I'm just a scientist." Travis opens the small journal to the last page and reads from it. "Reset number two-hundred-thirty-three. The kid finished a pacifist run and we were living in the surface for two months. I woke up this morning to Laurence telling me to 'wake up and look for humans, so that Katelyn will let him in the Royal Guard'. I went out to my station on the edge of Snowdin and, sure enough, they were just leaving the RUINS. I did my little creepy thing and then did all my lines that I need to do to keep the timeline from changing. Looks like they're doing another pacifist run because Laurence and the kid are downstairs on their little 'date'. Maybe we'll get to stay on the surface this time. Heh, wishful thinking."

"So the last human could go back in time and do stuff differently? That's so cool!" Kendal exclaims. "You'd think so. What happens when you get bored of everything being the same every time you went back? What do you do then?" Flowey speaks. "I had that power once. I did everything. I read every book, I burned every book. I won every game, I lost every game. I saved everyone, I've killed everyone. It's not a fun thing. Frisk reset so many times, even more than I did. The only people who could remember every single timeline were myself, Aphmau, and Frisk. You know what that does to someone's mind? It drives them to insanity. I'm surprised that Aphmau didn't try to kill the kid the second they left the RUINS after that RESET after the first genocide run." The group remains silent, the girls trying to process all the information that they were just told. The heavy, serious atmosphere was cut when Karma lets out a loud yawn. "Let's get you all to bed." Travis says with a chuckle.
