NEPTUNE

I raced from my garden safe place and back to the sleeping dorms. I crashed into people on the way there and just fell on my bed. I stayed their crying.

Crying over Mars.

Crying over my parents.

Crying over the fact that I had just lost my best friend.

Crying over that everyone thought I had been in contact with people on Earth and that's why there was no food.

I cried over the life I've had to live for the last three years.

I cried like the little girl that I am.

"Neptune, we don't blame you. Come on get up. We still have some hot chocolate," American tried to reason with me. Not even my second, twelve year old, best friend, America, could get me out of this bad mood. I've never gotten in this big of a fight with Chase. I hated the day already.

"Leave me alone," I said.

"I don't want to call Dale here to pick you up. We're having a crew meeting, and everyone needs to come," America told me. I couldn't see her, but I could imagine her arms crossing as she looked at me in disapproval.

"I don't care," I snapped. Doesn't anyone understand that I just want to be left alone?

"Well, you better, or Dale is going to come pick you up. We all have to come to the meeting, right now," America said.

"Dale hates me." I said.

"He doesn't hate you, and you know it. He's just a little stressed out right now," American said. She's such a little lier.

"I'm not going," I insisted.

America signed before calling out into the room, "Dale! We need you!" America yelled. "Wait a second!" Dale yelled back. As soon as those words spilled from Dale's mouth, screaming filled the air.

"FOR MOONS OF GOODNESS DALE PUT ME DOWN OR I WILL THROW YOU OUT OF THIS SHUTTLE WITHOUT ANY OXYGEN ALL THE WAY TO THAT FAR MOONING MOON OVER THERE!" Chase yelled. More tears ran down my face. Not because of Chase, moons no, but because of the fact that I knew that America wasn't kidding anymore. Chase continued yelling, but he wasn't yelling at Dale anymore. Footsteps came into the room and America stood up. Someone grabbed me by the waist. I kicked him in the face.

"FOR DAMIT MOON! NEPTUNE YOU GAVE ME A BLOODY NOSE!" Dale yelled. He ignored my protests and his bloody nose and swung me on his back and brought me to the kitchen. He placed me in a chair. He wiped the blood that was rushing down his face, I almost felt bad for him. "Stay," he said sternly. I growled at him as a response.

"Geez, if you and Mars were that stubborn, I pity your parents," Jade mumbled. Everyone glared at Jade in shock. Here I was, crying, giving people bloody noses and Jade had the guts to start bringing my family into this. I stood up from the chair quickly, having it fly behind me. I slapped Jade--hard. I raced back to the sleeping dorms. Stupid meeting, like I'm going to sit through something as stupid as that in a time like this. Yelling and arguing filled the room after I left. I wish I could just mute them sometimes. I was done with the noise and this life.

I wanted to go home already.

 I wanted to find Mars.
