After the pet incidents, Agnes' parents started taking to her different psychiatrists, and doctors. They tried to figure out what was wrong with their little girl. Most of them just suggested taking her to an institution and letting them try to help her out. Agnes overheard her parents talking to each other about sending her to an institution, she didn't fully understand, but she caught the part that they wanted to send her away. They were her parents, they were supposed to want her, not want to get rid of her. At this point, Agnes was three, and she was really smart for her age, which terrified her parents for good reasons. The talk about the institutions pissed her off, and that wasn't a good thing.
