Professor Sycamore was alerted by the knock on his door. He took a deep breath, making sure he was calm, then unlocked the door.

"Hey, Professor!", a young, lively voice greeted him, "Thanks for doing this with us. We're really struggling with the study of animals"

"No problem. Come inside"

The four young adults made themselves comfortable on the sofa as their Professor sat opposite them.

"Lots of crazy stuff is happening this week! A tech businessman's son and a K-Pop star both went into a coma and out at the same time, he releases a song right after he wakes up, and now there's a power outage in Aoyama?"

"It is indeed an eventful week. But let's not forget the international gender abolishment coming up"

"Oh, yeah. I can't wait! Everyone wears dresses as a normal thing now anyway, but now it's in the law!"

The Professor smiled. It was nice to see young adults who were fascinated by the world, motivated to succeed and reach their goals.

"Anyways, what part of the syllabus are you struggling with?"

"Well...all of it, really. I'm willing to learn it all, but it's just so much to take in. Especially since..."

Sawyer's voice trailed off when he realized what he was about to say. His friends nudged him in the elbows, reminding him that they swore not to tell anyone, since it was silly and they were probably just drunk or something.

"Okay. Sorry, but...can I ask you something?"

Trevor stayed still, making threatening eye contact, while Shauna and Tierno tried to mutually silence him.

"Of course"

"I know this isn't your field, but...is it possible for people to have linked dreams?"

The Professor seemed taken aback. His question brought him back to something strange that happened to him a week ago.

"Well...there have been discussions of the psychological causes of people sharing the same dream. From what I know, it usually occurs between people with extreme emotional closeness, or people with similar ideas"

Their eyes were dragged to the creaking of a door. Mairin popped out from behind it and shyly approached them.

"U-uh, Mairin, honey, what are you-"

"I know you guys"

She started pointing at them and naming them one by one.

"Shauna. You're a dancer, right? Sawyer and Trevor. You're like, nerds. You base everything on facts and knowledge. Tierno? You're a foodie"

"Okay, well, that one's pretty obvious...", Shauna muttered, earning an offended stare from her friend.

"...Do you guys wanna go to Japan?"
