Nya's P.O.V.:

I was in Ninjago City responding to a distress call I had gotten this morning from the police department. I know I shouldn't be tackling this much by myself, but what choice did I have? I didn't like taking a break from searching for my friends, but the commissioner said it was urgent. That's all he could say before the phone went dead, so I guessed it was pretty serious.

As I was walking I saw people running for their lives. I couldn't tell who it was, but whoever it was caused a lot of major damage to buildings and other things around the city. Maybe Nadakhan was finally here to show his face. And if that's the case, I'm ready for him.

I heard the footsteps coming closer to me. I got into a fighting stance and put my hood up. I was ready to show Nadakhan what for! But when he approached, I couldn't believe what I saw.

"J-Jay?"

He stood in front of me, the city torn apart around him. He looked different. His eyes were no longer that electric blue, but black and soulless and almost completely hidden by his hood. His attire was darker than I remember and he no longer looked like the laughing, lovable ninja I fell in love with.

I dropped my stance, put my hood down, and dropped my weapon on the ground. "I won't fight you Jay."

He starred at me and started inching his way forward. He looked like he was having trouble walking but that didn't seem to slow him down.

"Jay, it's Nadakhan. He did this to you! You have to snap out of it!"

It didn't work, if anything that angered him more. He took out his nunchucks and took a swing at me, but I managed to jump out of the way. I didn't want to fight back, but what choice did I have?

"You liar! You traitor!" He kept screaming at me. I didn't understand.

"Jay, you have to listen to me! Nadakhan is the one who's lying to you!" I tried to reason with him as I was backing towards my weapon.

"Nadakhan showed me the truth." He kept closing me in. "He showed me what you did!"

"W-what?"

"I was never good enough for you!"

I picked up my weapon and fought the urge to throw it. I started it to defend myself but that's all I could do.

He kept attacking me left and right and I could only dodge. I couldn't hurt him, I didn't want to. But he had hurt all these people and destroyed half the city. The people needed me, but so did Jay. I didn't know what to do.

"Jay, I don't want to hurt you. You're my yin, remember?"

I smiled and pulled out my half of the medallion he gave to me. He took one look at it before tossing it out of my hands and into the canal next to us.

"Noooo!" I screamed as the medallion landed in the canal and floated off.

"Let me show you how it feels." He raised his nunchucks.

"Jay, no! This isn't you!" I begged as I scooted closer to the canal. I looked deep into his eyes. "Please. Don't do this."

"I'll show you who's pathetic."

Jay took a swing at me with his nunchucks and and I jumped into the river to avoid it. I stayed underwater for a few seconds before Jay took one last look at the canal and left, almost no emotion on his face.

I swam back up to the surface and kept swimming as far as I could until eventually I couldn't swim anymore. I saw a small bank by the canal and used my power and the last of my strength to get to it. I made it, but I was so exhausted I passed out.

"Nya?"

I slowly started to open my eyes, but I closed them again. I was so dizzy I couldn't see straight.

"Nya! Wake up!"

I opened my eyes again, this time waking up completely to see Skylor's face. It felt so good to see a friendly face. It looked like I was in some kind of underground bunker.

"Skylor? What happened?" I set up and held my head in pain.

"I was gonna ask you the same question." Skylor said handing me some cold rags. "Here, these should help with some of those scrapes."

"Thanks." I said as I put one on my knee, where the biggest scrape was.

"Oh and I thought you might want these back."

She handed me my half of the yin/yang medallion and the letter that had Jay's wedding vows inside. They were soaking wet but somehow managed to survive all that mess. All those items did now was remind of how much I missed Jay. His laugh, his smile, his caring heart, and now I can't believe that he would throw it all away. Nadakhan took all that from me.

"You alright?" Skylor asked me, noticing how hard I was starring at the medallion and envelope.

"Oh, yeah." I nodded and wiped away a tear. "Thanks Sky."

"What is up with Jay and where is everyone else?"

"This is gonna be really hard to explain but there was this djinn that wanted to marry me and..."

"Whoa, I think you hit your head a little too hard in that river Nya." Skylor laughed.

"Skylor it's real, it's all real. You don't remember because... never mind." I frowned. "How long have I been out?"

"I found you like this hours ago. You were washed up on the banks."

"Hours? Did you see where Jay went?"

"Sorry I didn't. He sure did a number on my shop though." She frowned. "When I saw you I got you out and brought you to the bunker I had underneath the shop."

"When did you get that?" I asked.

"After the Garmadon incident, I figured I needed to up my security measures."

"I get that." I said, reliving the incident. "I just can't believe that Jay would do this. He's always been the nicest guy."

"It was a shock to me too."

"The others have been taken and I have no idea where they are. And on top of that Jay has gone completely evil and I have no idea how to fix it." I freaked.

"Nya, breathe." Skylor tried to calm me down. I took a deep breath. "Here, you look hungry."

She handed me a carton of noodles and some chopsticks. I didn't feel like eating but I probably needed to. Plus I was hungry.

"Thanks." I sighed.

"This wasn't how you pictured your wedding day was it?" Skylor frowned.

"I'm not even sure if there's going to be a wedding now. You should have seen the look he gave me when he threw our medallion in the water. It's like he doesn't care. It's like he... doesn't love me anymore. It's like he's not Jay anymore. And the way he was terrorizing all those people, it's not like him at all."

"Well the whole city knows that. We're all confused by Jay's sudden outburst." Skylor turned on the TV. "Let's see if the news can tell us anything."

"This is Gayle Gossip, from NGTV News, reporting live from Ninjago City where the ninja of lightning has gone on a rampage and the rest are nowhere in site." Gayle said into the camera. "Miraculously, no one has been reported seriously hurt, but everyone should fear the lightning ninja for the time being. If anyone sees him, they are advised to not engage and take shelter. I'm Gayle Gossip with NGTV News, and I'll bring more as this story develops."

"Turn it off please." I frowned.

Skylor turned it on mute and then she looked at me. To be honest I was a mess. How could I not be a mess? My fiancé went from being the sweetest guy in the world to public enemy number one in a single night. And it's all because I didn't tell anyone that I had been having nightmares about Nadakhan. I saw it coming, why didn't I tell anyone? This was all my fault.

"Hey wait, isn't that your mom?" Skylor asked as she looked at the muted TV.

"Turn it up!" I yelled.

She turned the volume up and we looked at the TV. I saw my mother in front of an old warehouse talking to Gayle.

"Please, my son and his friend are in there. The ninja need our help!" My mother said into Gayle's microphone.

"Mom found Kai?" I asked.

"Looks like it." Skylor said. "Jay must have kidnapped the others."

"No he wouldn't do that." I stated. "It's Nadakhan who kidnapped everyone, and I'm going to get them all back."

I stood up and I got dizzy. Maybe I hit my head harder than I thought.

"Hey Nya, take it easy." Skylor helped me sit back down. "Maybe You should rest a little before going out there again."

"Alright." I frowned and stared at the medallion again.

"So wait, who is this genie guy again?" She asked.

"Oh, that's a long story..."
