Sleeping Soundly

                                                                         September 25th Friday

I woke up. I was sleeping on the couch. I put Keanna in my hammock last night. I quietly got up and went over to check on her. She was still asleep. Some of her hair was in her face so I put it behind her ear, and she started to stir. 

"Rock-a-bye baby, I mean Keanna, in the treetop.

When the wind blows, the hammock will rock

When the bough breaks, the hammock will fall

And down will come Keanna, hammock and all..." I sang. She was back asleep again. She had a smile on her face. "Goodnight Keanna..." I whispered softly into her ear. She was soundly asleep. I went through my closet and took out a stuffed wolf and gave it to her. In her sleep, she snatched it from my hand and slept with it. I smiled and went back to sleep.
