Once upon a time, in Ninjago, there was a small village with houses, one hospital, a mayor's headquarters, one shopping building, one middle school building and one high school building. The town was surrounded by trees since it's in the woods where some fruits don't grown in the village since it has harsh winters, so the villagers have to make do and go on few days trips to collect fresh fruit, coal and other stuff for the winters.

In the village, there is a 18 year old boy named Luke Drones, who lives in a mansion with his parents, but he has a secret at runs in his family. Every boy has a genetic sickness that can kill them months after his 19th birthday. Luke tried his best to be calm and happy to the villagers, but deep down, he is scared since he knows he'll never have a normal life. His parents have been neglecting him throughout his childhood, so the only person who took care of him was his nanny. When he was 13, he built his first treehouse and found a secret basement in his backyard. He disguised the basement door with grass and dirt, so no one can see it. In the basement, he creates inventions that he hopes that it can make Ninjago a better place.

Luckily for Luke, the only person who knows about his sickness is his girlfriend Candace. Candace is the most beautiful, kind, helpful girl in the village. Candace and Luke started dating since they have much in common like helping people. Candace was also scared about Luke's fate and sad because she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Luke.
