One day during back to school, Luke was minding his own business until Scott Piper, the school bully, started to taunt him, along with his gang. Luke tried to ignore him and keep a straight face, but that's not what he's feeling deep down. Before leaving, Scott Piper grabs Luke by the chin and tells him that the only difference is that Luke is a mistake while he (Scott) is planned, just to try and get a reaction, but fails.

When Luke returns to his treehouse, he bursts into tears as he can only let his emotions out. He has never got the courage to stand up to Scott and he never think about using violence as it was never the answer. Luckily, Candace came back from her vacation and comforted Luke, angry at what Scott said. Luke tells her that she should've chosen to spend the rest of life with someone healthier, but she rejects that as she expresses her heart belongs to Luke. Candace has a deep hatred toward Scott as he keeps trying to make Luke look bad in front of everyone, even the adults never took action to stop the bullying.
