John Khan was holding the phone in one hand. "Yo, Henry, is the camera working yet?" He asked as he was standing in front of the camera.

"No, not yet! I'm still working on it." Henry notified as he checked the wires.

"How long are we gonna fix these cameras anyway?" John asked over the phone.

"Until it's fixed!" Henry snapped just as Doug walked in, whistling and snapping his fingers.

"Hey, Henry." Doug greeted while Henry was focused on cutting the damaged wires.

"Not now Doug, I'm busy." Henry had his pliers in one hand while he tried replacing the cable.

"Hey Doug, what's up?" John inquired over the phone which Henry left next to the toolbox.

"Sup John, how's it going with Abigail?" Douglas asked out of courtesy.

"Well, y'know it's going--"

"Nowhere!" Henry interjected while he cut off the circuit.

"DUDE!" John roared over the phone.

"I'm being honest with you, dude. She's not interested." Henry replied while he was checking the wires.

"That's enough guys, chill. I'll get the cameras working in no time." Douglas offered.

"No thanks, I got it covered." Henry stated as he was working, then he cut the wrong wire by mistake.

"Fine, if you wanna miss out on your date. I won't mind." Douglas smiled as he kept his hands in his pockets, as he was about to walk away, Henry had the toolbox in hand.

"JUST TAKE IT!"

Doug still kept a smug smile on his face. "I knew you'd change your mind."

It only took a few of minutes to replace the wires and sealed the compartment.

"Is the camera working yet?" John asked for the umpteenth time.

"Yep, all fixed!" Doug declared.

"That was surprisingly fast. How did you--"

"Nothing that I couldn't fix." Doug stood up as he returned Henry's phone. "Here's your phone back dude."

"Uh, thanks."

"No problem, later dudes!" Doug raised a hand as he walked away.

"Later, Doug!" John hollered over the phone just as Douglas walked away with his hands in his pockets, whistling. "Henry, you still there?"

"What is it?" Henry said wryly.

"Let's take five and go eat some pizzas." John suggested while Henry's eyes narrowed at Doug.

"Sure, I'll see you there."

Nancy locked the door of her suite and walked out of the hallway as she put her shades on.

An old crochety woman passing by and when she bumped into the model, she shouted: "Watch where you're going!" The aged woman shook her cane angrily before she walked away grumbling, "Lousy teenagers with their fancy smartphones, crazy haircuts, revealing outfits and flashy accesories."

Nancy gave a curious side glance at the grouchy old woman before she resumed checking her webpage.

When the old woman entered her suite she saw her roommates carrying wrapped canvases. "What are you two doing?"

"We'll be at the art gallery..." Barbara started.
"...transporting the paintings in the art exhibit for an old friend of mine until it's placed in an art museum once we land." Marvin finished.

"Why am I not surprised." Gretchen exhaled a sigh. At least the art exhibit was the most mild thing they've done compared to the shenanigans they used to do during their youth. "Sometimes I ask myself how I ended up with the two of you." Gretchen sat down at a recliner.

"We were cellmates for one night until Marvin bailed us out." Barbara recalled, Gretchen remembered the miserable night she had.

They met during the pandemic of the 20's, Barbara and Marvin were merely tourists that visited her country. Back then, Gretchen dyed her hair green, even before green hair became trendy. She had gotten out to buy at a grocery store with her face mask on, though Barbara and Marvin were jaunting around the city without face masks and taking selfies. The guards that kept watch nearby the local attraction site had spotted them, Marvin headed to the grocery store to buy some food. Gretchen was a couple of blocks away from her residence, she took off her face mask to take a breather from a long walk and in that moment Barbara walked on the same street while the guard called for back up. When Gretchen took out her keys a guard grabbed Barbara and arrested her. Gretchen had only heard the shouts while she walked a couple of tourists were roughousing nearby the street, one of them knocked down one of her shopping bags. Irate, she kicked one of them before the police car klaxon blared as three police cars came. Gretchen couldn't run far with the shopping bags and was arrested along with the troublemaking tourists. At the police station, 6 of the 10 tourists were detained in one cell while Barbara and the other 4 tourists were locked at another cell. A cop brought Gretchen handcuffed to the cell as Barbara was and removed her handcuffs before she got shoved to sit on a bench next to the monobrowed tourist.
“How long are you keeping me here?” Barbara asked loudly while the guard walked away, ignoring the detainees.
“Get me outta here!” Gretchen squalled.
“Keep it down!” Another guard hollered.
The toursists got bailed out after some of their relatives paid the fine. Only Barbara and Gretchen were still detained in the cell. Neither of them looked at each other, Barbara paced back and forth wondering where Marvin had gone while Gretchen got annoyed when her cellmate had walked around the cell like a phantom with a ghastly complexion.
“Would you stand still for one minute?” Gretchen suggested while she gritted her teeth. Barbara had walked around the cell, then grabbed the bars. “Let me out! I need to use the loo!” Barbara hollered while Gretchen rolled her eyes and thought: “Idiot, they're not gonna let her out.” At the corner of her eye she saw a guard come in and unlocked the cell. Gretchen didn't expect for the guard to show up, though she wasn't surprised that a female guard returned Barbara to lock her up again at an escape attempt.
“Did you really think that they would let you out that easy?” Gretchen asked her ernestly, her face neutral while the female guard walked away.
“There's no harm in trying.” Barbara replied whilst she shrugged her shoulders.
“In the middle of a pandemic.” Gretchen deadpanned.
“Oh please, everyone knows that the Coronavirus was a manmade virus created by Chinese communists to reduce the human population to make a profit with a vaccine as a simulation to brand the cattle with their mark.” Barbara speculated comparing humanity as cattle, “Read the book of Revelation, it all leads up to Armageddon.” Gretchen didn't know whether to shut her up or ignore her. “Think about it, catalyst and cattle list. It makes perfect sense.”
“It's because of asymptomatics like you that make me sick. You come to contaminate the people who're trying to survive a financial crisis, there are Covid patients fighting for their lives, and medical professionals risking their lives to save others.” Gretchen admonished her.
“Are you kidding me? There are cases of people dying after the first dose. Even after they take the second dose, the pandemic won't go away. Even if the whole population gets vaccinated, there is no guarantee of eliminating Covid-19 entirely.” Barbara retorted.
“Don't tell me that you're one of those people who use fake vaccination cards.” Gretchen pointedly accused her. Barbara scowled as she burrowed her monobrowed whilst she crossed her arms.
“Your assumption is offensive.” Barbara commented while Gretchen gasped before the green haired detainee grappled the bars and shook the black rusted bars.
“LET ME OUT! I'M LOCKED UP NEXT TO AN ASYMPTOMATIC ARSEHAT!” Gretchen screeched at the top of her lungs.
“Quit acting like a drama queen.” Barbara replied as she nonchalantly approached her.
“DON'T TOUCH ME, YOU FREAK!”
Barbara raised her hands in the air, then bowed her head in mockery, “whatever you say, oh green queen of mean.”
The monobrowed tourist sat back at a metal bench. Gretchen yelled her head off for 2 hours until her lungs got raucous and stopped. It was around by 8 o'clock that Marvin came to the police station to pay the fine, Barbara knew that he was a cheapskate. The semi stingy merchant knew that if he didn't bail her out they would both end up in prison for other reasons they rather not mention.
“About damn time you showed up. I was this close to assault Oscar the Grouch over there.” Barbara commented as the guard opened the cell to let her go.
“Social distancing, stalker.” Gretchen sneered.
“Only in your repressed fantasies, Billie.” Barbara barbed, not even bothering to look at her irate grimace.
“Imma kill you!” Gretchen barked.
“You gotta touch me first. Oh wait, you can't. I'm leaving you.” Barbara waved her fingers as she walked out.
“Get outta my country, you fuckin' tourist!” Marvin saw this and in his own mind thought, “if I bail her out she'll let me stay at least.”
Marvin looked at Gretchen and she glared at him. “I'll bail you out, as long as you let me stay at your place.”
“Hell no!” Gretchen protested.
“It's only for a couple of days.” Marvin whispered.
“I'm not letting her nowhere near my house.” Gretchen stated.
“I'm asking for me. Do you have any idea how expensive a hotel room is?” Marvin asked her, “I barely have enough to stay for one night, not after I paid her fine. Please, let me stay at your place.” Marvin persuaded her while she crossed her arms.
“Fine, but if I see her anywhere near my house, I'm kicking you out.” Gretchen warned.

After Marvin paid the fine, she couldn't get rid either of them ever since.
