Avni and Neil turned at the sound of clapping and there in full flesh and bone stood none other that Dayawanti Mehta. Avni's eyes narrowed a bile began lodging itself within her throat. "Pathetic." She laughed evily as Avni cringed. She stalked towards Avni grasping her wrist tightly applying pressure, causing her finger marks to be printed on Avni's smooth milky skin. "You know Avni you are right you still are that little girl and you always will be, your a sin a bad omen and with the blessings of god this time i will kill you. Start counting down your days, then you'll be with your parents let's hope death will accept an illegitimate crap like you." And with those final words she was off.  Avni stood in bewilderment she began to loose her footing and was once again about to drop.

Neil encircled his arms around her waist holding her up, supporting her weight. She was numb, not just from the drunkenness but from seeing her past, She wanted to close that chapter in her life but once again it was reopened. She let Neil walk her towards his car and let him help her in, he sat down in his own car noticing that she hadn't put her seat belt on. Without warning he leaned over and strapped her in. Avni was in a daze maybe it was the alcohol that was settling in but she was numb completely. She looked out the window. They sat in silence, Neil knew she needed that right now and decided it was best not to say anything he just needed to get her home safely that was his mission for now.

Soon enough they reached back at Avni's house, as soon as Neil put on the hand-brake she bolted out of the car not giving Neil a chance to react.  Quickly turning the car off he ran after her as she walked into the house unshed tears brimming her eyes, Neela looked at Avni in concern, she could tell she had drunk alcohol once again. Neela sighed as everyone was left astonished at her state, staggering forth her feet carried her towards the study room. As she ran in her back collided with a wall causing her to slip down in agony. The tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down her face.  She could feel the muscles of her chin tremble like a small child, she  looked towards the window, as if the light could soothe her. There is static in her head once more, the side effect of this constant fear, constant stress that she is forced to live with. She can  hear her own sounds, like a distressed child, raw from the inside. That's the way it is when people are hard. It's like a theft of the spirit, an injury no other person can see. Brick by brick her walls came tumbling down once again. She hated herself. She hated feeling like this. She hated being weak. She hated it. Her sobs escalated, her breathing becoming laboured. All her memories awoke in her mind, the thoughts of her family being taken away from her in the most cruellest way, her brother being snatched away from her, Neil..his family. Those words that shred her heart to pieces, they danced around her ears playing over and over again. She clamped her hands over her ears as she let out a scream in pain.

Neil had walked through the door of the house and saw the worry in everyone's eyes. He looked at them "We saw Dayawanti Mehta, and she said....stuff." That was all they needed to hear, Neil turned to Neela "Ma where is Avni?" Neela's eyes widened hoping...hoping her daughter hadn't done anything stupid. Neil noticed the look on Neela's face and sprinted up the stairs.

He opened her room only to find no one there he checked her bathroom and the remaining rooms on the floor his heart pounding against his chest. Where was she? As he looked at the last door he prayed that she was in there.  He opened the door with full force, bursting in. He looked at her in shock, she had a knife against her left wrist, she hadn't noticed him entering, He rushed forth taking the knife off her and chucking half way across the room, she looked up at him. Her dark  eyes looked as if an ocean had been encased inside of small glass marbles. "Please don't leave me." they said. Then the smooth spheres appeared to be cracked; the ocean had started to leak, little water droplets streamed down her rosy cheeks, Neil looked at her, he wanted to say so much but couldn't bring himself to it, she needed help. He was concerned by the drastic steps she was taking, he knew she was broken but this...seeing her in this state was too much for him. He embraced her. He didn't know what else to do, he didn't know how to be there for her. The situation was no longer like it was, he used to be able to understand her-be there for her, but  after everything those years of separation he had no idea...no idea how to be there for her, because every time she pushes me away. He looked down at Avni only to find her not struggling. Instead her hand were wrapped around his waist holding on for dear life. Her sobs rang in his ears, his own eyes becoming wet. He moved them towards the sofa sitting down and leaning back as she quickly readjusted before continuing to let it all out. For her she wasn't clear what was going on. She was drunk...And broken. And right now she needed someone to pull her out of the darkness, to be her hero instead of her being the hero all the...she was so busy trying to save other people she forgot about herself. Her eyes closed with that final thought. She knew she was going to hate herself for becoming weak in front of him but maybe just this once it was okay.

He studied her as she slept. Her hair was matted and splayed about the pillow her head sunk into. Her small frame was curled to one side as if in protection of itself and her full lips were slightly parted. What held his attention longest however were her lashes. Long, thick, and dark. They weren't caked in that black paint she brushed into them everyday that clumped her lashes together unnaturally and by the end of the day had crumbled under her eyes and added to the already dark bags beneath them. He had never seen her without the makeup she wore as a barrier between her and the world. He wanted to run his fingers over those lashes. He could bet they were as soft as silk, light as a feather. The moonlight that crept through the window fell over eyes and made those lashes glisten so that from the correct angle they looked almost white. He wanted to kiss each one of her eyelids and feel those lovely lashes tickle his lips. He never wanted to see those lashes damp. Not ever again. He pulled a blanket from the side of the couch and wrapped it around them. Gently he kissed her forehead before letting his own eyes close.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!! So i just want to apologise for the delay as most of you know its wedding season and my aunt got married and we were extremely busy with helping and doing all the things that are compulsory at weddings. Anyway do comment your thoughts on this chapter, and do let me know what you think about the recent episodes too- i think Neela is amazing the way she took on Shweta was just....no words. And Avni and Neil are too adorable. And Bebe is so sweet too the way she accepted Avni was too cute.
