Several decades ago...

It was one stormy night in the Tropical Soda Islands. Inside the Longan Palace, barely any activity was seen other than the Dragon orbs roaming around freely and a few servants appearing now and then.

One of the palace guards, Longan Lancer Cookie, was keeping first watch. They glanced side to side at the gates, ready to draw their spear at any sign of trouble.

"Hmm..." They hummed to themselves. "The palace is quiet...quieter than usual. Something must be up."

They sheath their spear and headed away from the gates, their steps echoing at the empty corridor. They had been protecting the palace for centuries, and throughout their entire lifetime, the palace has never been that quiet. They couldn't help but feel a little uneasy.

As they continued to walk, they notice a small Dragon orb hovering nearby, and it looks rather anxious.

"Hey! You!" Longan Lancer shouted, getting the orb's attention. "Come over here for a minute!"

The orb hesitated for a second before hovering towards Longan Lancer Cookie, staring at them with their slightly dilated eye.

"Fellow Dragon orb...," Longan Lancer Cookie started. "You seem to be quite anxious. Is everything alright?"

The orb remained still for a moment, looking around to see if anyone is nearby before gesturing them to follow. Longan Lancer Cookie did so. A few miles ahead, they reached the Strategy Room and approached the seismometer.

Longan Lancer Cookie stared intensely at the seismograph, noticing the readings ranking higher. They grew worried and glanced at the Dragon orb for confirmation. "The earthquake is near... We're getting closer to that faithful day, aren't we?"

The orb nodded in response, its anxiety clear as day. Longan Lancer Cookie took a deep breath, trying to maintain composture before sighing. "We must tell our master about this. They will know what to do."

The orb nodded again, and the two head out of the room. They quickly ran across the empty halls, the orb hovering besides them. They sometimes forgot how long the hallways were; it could be exhausting.

After what felt like an hour of running, they reached the Throne Room. They take a moment of nreather, catching their breath before quickly opening the door and heading inside.

"Master Longan Dragon! Sorry to interrupt your evening!" Longan Lancer Cookie called out, quickly saluting but slowly relaxing their posture as Longan Shaman Cookie approaches them.

"Lancer, my friend!" Longan Shaman Cookie greeted with a small smile. "Remember that we don't have to act so uptight when we're alone with them!"

Longan Lancer Cookie completely relaxed their posture, looking slightly embarrassed. "Right, of course, it's just... force of habit."

The two servant cookies turned their heads to the figure right in front of them, who was staring at the ocean below with their arms crossed behind their back. The figure inhaled deeply before turning  to the wyverns-turned-cookies.

"Hello, Lancer... Lovely of you to join us," the figure said with a small smile. "Any news? Did you see anything at the gates today?"

Longan Lancer Cookie shaked their head, saluting calmly. "There was nothing suspicious at the gates, oh great dragon. But I do have some news for you..." They trailed off. "...For both of you."

Longan Shaman Cookie and the figure exchanged glances before staring intensely at them. "What is it? What did you see?" Longan Shaman Cookie asked eagerly.

Longan Lancer Cookie quickly gained a worried look on their face. "Great Longan Dragon..." They started quietly. "One of your Dragon orbs has shown me something... very concerning in the Strategy Room."

Longan Dragon tilted their head, looking a bit confused. "And what was this...very concerning thing it showed you?"

Longan Lancer Cookie took a deep breath, embracing themself for their next words. "They showed me the seismographs. The earthquake is drawing near."

Longan Dragon's face fell at the news while Longan Shaman Cookie quickly looks worried. "Oh no! That's not good!"

Longan Dragon quickly glanced outside, noticing the thundering clouds above the palace. They huffed before turning to the two servants. "The fateful day is getting closer with each passing year. We can't keep acting like nothing bad will happen once it does arrive."

Longan Shaman Cookie glanced at Longan Dragon, standing beside them near the cliffside, with Longan Lancer Cookie on the other side of the dragon. "What do you think will happen then, great Dragon?"

Longan Dragon goes quiet for a moment, looking off to the side in light worry before speaking in a soft tone. "I don't know. My eyeballs see everything, but what they cannot see, it's what she has planned. We don't know what she plans to do, but we can't just stand here and do nothing."

Longan Lancer Cookie frowned slightly, looking a bit confused. "Then what can we do? We don't know what she has planned."

Longan Dragon looked determined, turning to Longan Lancer Cookie. "We may not know what she has planned, but mark my words... Once she does wake up and set her plan in motion..."

Longan Dragon turned to look outside, determination setting in them.

"We'll be ready."
