The darkness couldn't muffle her sobs, as the door screeched open light rays fell on her. She didn't look up, her clothes torn, hand's scratched and hair covered her face.

She held onto her legs tighter as the foot steps got nearer, she could hear him breathe and her sobs went silent as fear engulfed her. The terror made her tremble again as she could feel his body heat suffocating her more.

Someone touched her and she jerked their hand away.

"Ragini!"

The lights turned on and she heard someone giggle, she inhaled deeply and opened her eyes "I'm sorry."

He laughed louder and she pouted at him asking  "What's so funny about me having nightmares you douche bag?"

He held onto his chest with his right hand and pointed his left hand to the other side of the bed, Ragini's eyes widened in terror as a pair of sleepy but pretty angry eyes glared at her.

Ragini held her ears cutely with a pout as the girl got up from the floor rubbing her bum "I hate you Ragini! Go sleep on the hall couch."

Ragini grabbed a pillow and got down of the bed as the guy chuckled a pillow kissed his face.

"Maybe Ragini could sleep in your room from now" the girl exclaimed and the boy's eyes became wide open.

Ragini blinked her eyes cutely at the boy "That's a nice idea! Haina Ansh?"

"I'm a big boy now and plus I have a very busy schedule so bye!" as he ran away Ragini turned to her room mate with one last ray of hope.

"I know my name is Pari but that doesn't actually mean I'm one" she slammed the door on Ragini's face making her sigh.

Rubbing her eyes Ragini walked down yawning "kasam se, this paying guest stuff is really tough. Muje apne hi kamre se nikal dia."

Ragini stared up at her room with a frown "Dekhlugi tuje Pari Awasthi, ek din apna bhi time aega!"

She adjusted the couch pillow and fell on it "Pyaari Nini, ajao... " her eyelids felt heavy and her lips curved up as she drifted back into her Dreamland.

Crime Spot;

Sanskar smirked as one of the reporters approached him, he turned to his associate instructing him something.

The reporter started her as usual introduction and then turned to Sanskar "Is it true that when you guys came here, he was still alive?"

Sanskar turned to her "Yup and that proves police officers are not always late."

"Aren't you ashamed that you couldn't save him? He lay there breathing his last breath and all you guys did was watch?"

Sanskar's associate balled his fists and furiously took a step ahead but Sanskar held him back "Not now Yug!"

He graciously turned back to the camera and replied "I don't think i am supposed to explain but the fire that surrounded Anthony was lethal, its a chemical that takes its own time to ware out and if added water or tried to blow out will increase more."

He looked back at the reporter "Honestly, Im not ashamed that we couldn't save a rapist whose been on parole and as per my reports was about to do that heinous crime again but Agni got him before us. So i guess although she's a criminal on loose we still owe her a 'thank you'"

The tv screen went off in the hall as she smirked her eyes still closed "Sanskar Maheshwari?"

"Do you want me to put him down?" A male voice queried but she sat up on the couch "He seems stupid to me, you think he's worth our attention?"

He shrugged in the dark "He's never failed a case before babe."

She played with her lighter "Let's give him a first this time what say?"

He chuckled but then she shushed him "I don't want them to know your here."

He stood up the hood covering his face "Just be careful, he's not like them."

"I know he's not like them" she replied her eyes cold and expression less "that's why he's breathing after all."

As he left she fell back on the couch her eyes now staring the wall. As the door closed shut it turned dark but then the stars twinkled and so did her eyes.

Her lips curved up as she heard the cute laughter, "Ab nini aur acchi aegi" she exclaimed to herself as her eyes closed slowly.

Commissioner's cabin;

The old man's words went mute for him as his own thoughts clouded his head.

"If i squint my head, I could assume his my budhau baap? (Old man/ father)"

The old man slammed the newspaper on the table and his eyes fell on his own picture on the front page.

"Sheh!" Sanskar thought in his mind, " I knew I should have put some gel on, I look like I just got up of sleep." He pouted "But actually I did got up of my sleep" he nodded to himself "And look how cute I look?"

His cheeks turned red and the old man paused as his thoughts continued "I bet my female fan following must have increased by now. I mean who could resist an eye candy like me?"

"SANSKAR!"

He widened his eyes staring at the old man as he yelled "Who the hell do you think I'm yelling at?"

He turned his head to his left and then to his right finding no one else in the room he turned back to the old man "My best guess is me sir."

The old man couldn't believe what he heard and he got "What is going to happen Sanskar?"

Sanskar stood up "I'm gonna hand over Miss. Agni sooner to you sir!"

"How are you so sure he is a Miss. Agni?"

"How are you so sure she isn't sir?"

The old man licked his lips as Sanskar turned to leave "Men can never know the feeling and pain of birth sir but only women can. She's born strong but we men in our tiny heads think otherwise."

"Those words would have sounded better in front of the media" the old man retorted and he turned one last time standing at the door.

"She's dead inside sir and for her nothing else but justice matters."

The door shut close and the old man sighed "You better get hold of him sooner Sanskar or both of our futures are in dark."

Parking;

She stood in front of the shiny car window and admired herself "Not bad ha, Miss. Ragini Jindhal."

He felt her presence and turned towards the window only to find her showing all her dentals.

Ragini sighed "No lipstick stains, Perfect!" she clapped her hands satisfied and then adjusted her hair.

She twirled flaunting her floral dress "Who could say no to me?"

Suddenly his cellphone rang alerting Ragini "Shit!"

She ran out of there and now he was devoid of his entertainment, he clicked on his Bluetooth "Kya hai? (What?)"

The voice on the other side made him jump up and hit his head to the car's deck.

He immediately opened the door "Yes Mom, I've been waiting here for ages. You know I'm an officer and how precious my time is right?"

"Ofcourse I'm waiting outside, you think I ll lie to you? How stupid can someone be to wait for his date inside his car and not on the venue?"

He saw his reflection in the side mirror still seated on his driver seat he sighed "I don't like her Maa."

He pouted at himself in the mirror but then frowned "What do you mean you can't decide whether a person is good or bad by just looking at their picture?"

"I am an officer maa, hum chor ki ankho m dekh kr uska tinka dhund lete h! (I can just look into a person's eye and know whether he's a thief or not)"

It seemed like the lady wouldn't budge so he stood up now shutting the car door "You always need to correct me first and then blackmail me with that don't you?"

His lips curved up as his finger reached his Bluetooth "I know you love me how much, now bye!"

Lee's Cafe;

He breathed in standing at the cafés entrance "Shaadi krne k liye desperate ladki,(a girl whose dying to get married,) she must be either wearing traditional or modern? Kya baat h Sanskar kitta samajdar h tu?(Woah dude! Aren't you just the smartest?)"

He smiled proudly but then some one seemed annoyed behind him "Unless it's your Pappa ka cafe, I really wanna know why your standing at the entrance like shehenshah?"

He turned to the feminine voice "Asha?"

She crossed her arms over her chest and he shrugged "Tum ithni bhi moti nhi ho ki side se andar na aa sako." (How fat do you think you are?)

She gritted her teeth "Your blocking my cafés entrance you pig!"

He waved his hands up in surrender and finally gave her the way as she walked away he shook his head following her.

"What is wrong with you guys, why isn't there some good music on?" She scolded the workers and took her place at the cashiers.

The music turned on as she arranged the cash in her drawer "Why are you like that?"

She looked up to find Ragini all happy and twirling making her question "Why are you always like that?"

Ragini frowned "Like how?"

"Like happy, like dancing like all beautiful and awesome the world is!"

"It isn't but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be either" Ragini shrugged her shoulders and she shook her head.

Ragini was on her toes eying the money "Can I help you?"

"Aur koi kaam dhanda ni h kya?"(You seriously don't have any other work to do right?)

Ragini shook her head and she sighed "Go attend that despo over there then."

She pointed at Sanskar whose back faced them "Who is he?"

"My brother!" She retorted and Ragini took it as a sign to just get lost.

She tied her hair up in a bun her eyes just on her goal for today, Sanskar. A guy approached his table and Sanskar stood up with a rose.

Ragini tilted her head to the left slightly and her eyes widened. He was on his knee with the rose and the other guy seemed embarrassed.

Ragini bit her lower lip as the girl from the cashiers yelled "You need an invitation do you?"

Ragini hit her forehead with the notepad and rushed towards Sanskar, "Your order sir?"

Sanskar turned towards her "I can't marry you!" the words slipped out of his mouth.

She stood there dumbfounded as Sanskar ran upto the guy and held his arm "We are lovers and my mom won't let us be together but being me, I can't do this to you. I'm sorr- "

A high pitched cry broke both their attention, there she was at the entrance wailing like a child. Twisting her dupatta and just crying "Why god why?"

She dramatically fell on the floor and the girl on the cashiers held her head frustrated.

Sanskar turned towards Ragini "Isse kya hua?" (What happened to her dude?)

"Muje kya pata?" (What do I know?)

Suddenly his cellphone beeped and he got it out, his eyes became wider as he looked back at the weeping girl then back at Ragini.

"Who the hell are you?"

She pointed at a badge on her apron that read "Ragini Jindhal."

Sanskar hit his forehead "Ek aur siyappa!" ( Another trouble!)

The guy had a peek in and his eyes widened "Oh shit, usse bhagana tha?"

Sanskar gave him a good stare as Ragini giggled "Aira ko keh dete, uss k liye toh ek second ka kaam h!"  (You should have told Aira instead, it's like a child's game for her.)

"Aira?"

Ragini pointed at Aira who now stood right in front of the weeping girl "YOU'RE BLOCKING MY CAFE'S ENTRANCE!"

The girl jumped up and just ran out making her turn towards the trio "What?"

"Moti!" (Fatso) Sanskar exclaimed like a child and she scowled under her breathe walking back to the cash counter.

"You know her?" Ragini queried cutely waiting for an answer as Sanskar sat back on the chair.

"Two burgers, a cold coffee and an ice tea" he ordered and Ragini stared at him confused "hun?"

"My order Miss. Jindhal" he stated and she twisted her lips turning on her heels to leave.

Aira smiled at her collection as she felt him approach "You know I charge extra when people sit and just fool around like that in my cafe."

Sanskar smirked "I ate like 10 burgers and had 5 cold coffee's. Should be getting a regular customers discount instead!"

She swiped his card replying "Whatever!"

"By the way, whose that new girl? Your friend?"

"Aww, interested?" She gave him a look and he understood "I toh was asking like that only for general knowledge" he exclaimed taking back his card.

"Do i ever ask you why you hang out here like a berozgar despite being designated the most busy job in the world? Do i?"

"None of your business" he shrugged his shoulders and she faked back a smile "Exactly, Ragini Jindhal? None of your business!"

She grabbed the bunch of envelopes and got out of her counter as Sanskar followed her "It's about the case."

She stopped mid way and now he came in front of her "the next murder is going to happen somewhere around here, it could be your cafe."

She pushed him slightly, and walked away exclaiming "I don't care, its not like Agni's killing innocent one's right?"

"No but-"

"Just because your visiting my cafe I give you bhaaw, but that doesn't mean I ll do everything you say-"

"It's someone you know."

She turned to him with full attention and he continued not aware of the hooded person having an eye on them through the security room cctv footage.

Watching them leave he grabbed the pc mouse and did what he came for.

He walked out and on his way he saw the board with all the workers names on it.

"Lets give officer Sanskar Maheshwari, something so obvious to think about."

He misplaced all the letters and left back a message that read "You're so right, yet so wrong Officer - Agni."
