Aera's P.O.V

"Jungkook."

I slowly turned to see who Jimin was glaring at. To my surprise, it was the dark boy who I'd seen on that rainy day at the park. "Stay away from what you can't understand" swept through my head at the sight of him. The look he gave back Jimin was just as toxic, making me subconsciously move slightly behind Jimin. He stood a few feet away, making me wonder at how we hadn't noticed him before, almost as if he'd materialized in front of us. He and Jimin glowered at each other so intensely, I would have probably been able to walk away without either of them noticing.

"Sasin," The so called Jungkook replied.

His voice made my skin scrawl, much darker than when he'd spoken to me.

"What are you doing here?" Jimin asked slowly, poison dripping from his words.

"What do you think?" He said.

"Don't play games with me. You know my conditions," Jimin told him angrily.

I stood behind Jimin completely now, almost shaking. What the heck is going on? I thought in terror. I wanted to pull out my phone or run away, I wanted to do something. But it was as if I was frozen. In fear. The feelings of hatred between the two radiated through the air, threatening. Dangerous.

"It's funny, because you seem to have forgotten mine," Jungkook said bitterly.

"If you actually believe that to be true, then you're the one who's forgotten." Jimin clenched and unclenched his fists.

Suddenly, Jungkook took a few quick steps towards us, grabbing Jimin's collar, and making Jimin turn slightly and grab my arm. I jumped at the sudden movement and looked up at Jimin with my eyes widened.

"There's no need to lie, Sasin. You and I both know that no one's forgotten any of the conditions." His eyes were wider and even more intimidating, almost wild, as he stared down Jimin, gripping his shirt collar. "But one of us has decided to go against them."

Jimin's hold on my arm grew tighter, making me wince in pain. Jungkook slowly turned his cold, dark eyes to me. I stared back, rigid with fear. His gaze seemed to penetrate through my soul, spreading coldness throughout my body.

"And you know what happens when you break that rule," Jungkook said slowly.

Jimin snapped at that moment, grabbing Jungkook's collar in turn and letting go of my arm, so that both were inches apart, clutching each other's shirts.

"Stay away from her," Jimin said, so quietly and slowly, I almost missed it.

Jungkook was suddenly smirking, staring into Jimin's eyes now. He shook his head.

"You know you aren't allowed to do this, Sasin...You aren't allowed to love."

Jimin's eyes widened, Jungkook's words catching him off guard. I watched them in horrified confusion. Wondering at the things they were saying each other. Jimin suddenly pushed him away, letting go of his collar. Jungkook stumbled back.

"Get out of here," Jimin snapped to him.

"Don't forget it, or there will be consequences," Jungkook told him in reply.

And with one last look, he turned on his heel and walked off into the cold, dark night. I was shaking furiously, more so than when Jimin first helped me. I slowly turned back to Jimin. He was breathing hard, his head tilted down, eyes closed.

"J--Jimin?" I asked quietly.

He slowly opened his eyes and glanced at me. Jimin didn't look dangerous or angry anymore. His eyes looked sad and fearful. Tilting his head back up, he turned completely to face me. Without warning, he put his arms around me, pulling me into a strong hug. I tensed up in surprise, but slowly relaxed in his arms. I let my arms hang down, still. He buried his head into the crook of my neck.

"I'm sorry," he said, his muffled voice cracking.

"Jimin," I said again, but it wasn't a question this time.

I just said his name. It was all I could say. I had no idea what had just happened. I had no idea who Jungkook was. I had no idea who Jimin was. I was so confused and scared. But, it seemed, not as much as Jimin.

"Aera," he whispered back.
