Jimin's P.O.V

I stared up at the endless night sky with a strange pit in my stomach. Was it because I was alone? Without her? I frowned and stood up, stretching my arms. I wished I had a phone like the one Aera carried around, so I could call her whenever. She'd told me she was hanging out with a friend tonight. But I already missed her. Was that what the strange feeling was? I shook my head and started to walk, wondering if she'd be back by now.

I reached her dorm within a few minutes, still not being able to shake the feeling. The building was dark and quiet, her words from a few days ago came to me. "Maybe you should stop hanging around the girl's dorm. I don't want people to start thinking you're a pervert. Hm?" I frowned in remembrance, but decided to just keep walking.

"Yah!" A voice suddenly broke through the silent air.

I paused, turning my head slightly to see who it was. Are they calling to me? I wondered. My mouth opened slightly in surprise when I realized who was running towards me. Namjoon? I tensed, turning to face him fully, backing away slightly. Was he here to start something? I was silent as he stopped a few feet in front of me, breathing heavily.

"I knew I'd find you here," he said softly.

I frowned.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

Namjoon finally met my gaze, and I saw a mix of fear and anxiety in his eyes. My stomach dropped.

"What is it?" I asked again.

"This might sound kind of random, but you were the only person I could think of...Do you, by any chance, know Jungkook?" He asked carefully. "I don't know his last name, so it might seem kind of vague..."

Whatever he said next was a complete blur. All I could hear was my heavy breathing as I asked him, "Why do you want to know that?"

Namjoon stopped saying whatever he was saying at the sound of my voice. My intense reply seemed to confirm whatever question he had.

"I-I think Aera might be in trouble," he told me breathlessly.

Aera's P.O.V

"What do you want to watch?" Yugyeom asked.

I stretched out my arms with a yawn before replying.

"Whatever's fine," I told him. "Ugh, I'm so full."

I collapsed on the couch next to him, holding my stomach.

"I think I had too much pizza," I admitted.

"Me too," he said with a sweet laugh.

Yugyeom slipped off the couch and kneeled in front of his tv.

"What's your favorite movie?" He asked.

I laid my head back in thought.

"I don't really have a favorite movie," I told him. "I don't watch movies that often."

"Then what do you do?"

"School."

He rolled his eyes and sat beside me again.

"I'm sure that's not the only thing you do. Don't you have a hobby or talent or something?" Yugyeom asked me.

I was silent, watching him carefully. Considering. He in turn watched me expectantly. I tilted my head and faced the tv again.

"I draw," I said softly.

"Really? Are you good?" He asked.

I shrugged.

"I haven't done it in a while. People said I was good, though," I replied, slightly nostalgic.

People as in my dad and grandfather. Namjoon never saw me draw, though he knew I did.

"Can you draw something for me?" Yugyeom suddenly asked.

I raised my eyebrows and glanced at him again.

"Right now?" I asked in surprise.

He nodded.

"I-I don't know...It would be horrible..." I began.

"Listen, if you draw for me, I'll...dance for you!" He said excitedly.

"Dance for me? Really?"

He nodded again. I shook my head and turned away. It wouldn't hurt to just doodle something really quick. Except, I hadn't drawn since Jimin left. It had been almost a year. Did I really feel like completely embarrassing myself? But I looked at Yugyeom, and he looked so eager.

"Fine. I'll draw."

"Yes!" He said in English.

"But nothing big," I told him.

With a shake of my head, I stood and walked to his kitchen table, sitting on one of the chairs. Yugyeom dashed out of the room for a second, returning moments later with a pencil and notepad.

"It's like you were expecting this," I said with a laugh.

He grinned and sat down across from me. I shook my head again and looked down at the blank paper, pencil in hand. It felt so weird. A "why did you ever stop?" feeling passed through me. I swallowed a sudden lump in my throat and looked at Yugyeom again.

"I'll draw you," I said quietly.

"Oh, okay!" He was immediately still, completely frozen.

"Yah!" I said with a laugh. "Just relax."

"Ah, right," he replied sheepishly, slumping forward again.

I stared at him for a second, then turned back to the paper. As soon as the lead hit the blank sheet, it was as if I'd never stopped. Like riding a bicycle. The side of my mouth turned up, a small smile forming. And I actually started to draw Yugyeom. We were silent, the only noise was the pencil brushing against the paper, pausing whenever I glanced up at him. It took some time, but I finished much quicker than I expected. When I was done, I stared at it for a second, then leaned back.

"Oh gosh," I breathed.

"What? Can I see?" Yugyeom asked eagerly.

"Yeah, sure."

Chewing my lips, I slid the notebook across the table to him. His eyes lit up as he picked it up and brought it close to his face.

"Woah. Amazing," he said breathlessly.

I laughed at his excessiveness.

"It's not that good," I told him. "I'm a bit rusty."

"Aera, this is amazing," he told me.

I shook my head and looked down at my hands; my fingertips were grey from smearing the lead. That's when a sudden knock sounded at the front door. I looked up with Yugyeom.

"I wonder who that is...?" He said with a confused frown.

I got up with him to check. We both headed to the front room.

"Did you invite someone?" He asked me.

"No, you?" I replied.

He shook his head. We both stared at the door for a second without moving, and I realized he wasn't used to visitors. I glanced at him, wondering if he was going to answer.

"They're gonna leave," I whispered to him.

"Huh? Oh! Right," Yugyeom said, reaching for the doorknob.

A cold feeling passed through me as soon as he opened it, and I knew it wasn't from the chilly night. I subconsciously grabbed Yugyeom's sleeve as Jungkook's sharp eyes slid over me in slight surprise.

"Jungkook? What are you doing here?" Yugyeom asked.

I expected him to give Yugyeom that fake smile that I saw right through. To greet him as a friend. But it didn't come. Instead, his cold glare shifted to Yugyeom, the dangerous look in his eyes unchanging. And I realized that he wasn't here to hang out with his friend. He was here for something much more sinister. Not caring what Yugyeom thought, I instinctively reached for the door handle, beginning to push it closed. But I was stopped suddenly, when Jungkook's strong grip grabbed the side of the door, making me freeze.

"Jungkook?" Yugyeom's innocent gaze switched back and forth between the both of us.

"Don't get in my way," Jungkook finally spoke, his cold voice making me shudder.

I knew he was talking to me.

"What?" I asked quietly.

"I'm not here for you," he said.

He didn't have to say anymore for me to know exactly what he meant. I stepped towards Yugyeom, who still watched us in confusion.

"Stay away," I told Jungkook quietly.

He stood in the doorway, the dark night behind him, staring at the two of us with an unfamiliar look. Jungkook looked exhausted. And frustrated. And somehow, these two emotions made him seem even more dangerous. Desperation. That was the emotion in his eyes.

"Aera," Jungkook whispered.

It sounded foreign coming from his mouth. Like a threat. Terrifying.

"Get out of my way."
