"Branch... what were you doing in that forest?" Poppy asked, slightly concerned about her husband.

With a sigh, Branch lowered his head again, deciding it was time to tell her the truth... he really didn't want her to know the secret he was extremely ashamed of... but the guilt of it was eating him away... he had to admit what he had been doing the past few nights before he was thrown in this literal prison...

"I... I was..." he started, his voice so low it could barely be heard. "I was... was..." He sighed again, finally looking back up at his wife who stared at him in slight fear, worried about what he was about to admit to... "I was... setting traps... around the perimeter of the village..."

Poppy couldn't help but let out a quick sigh of relief, Branch looking at her in confusion...

"You... you're not mad at me?" he asked, his voice still trembling slightly.

"Oh no... I'm furious..." Poppy stated crossing her arms as she glared at her husband, his ears going down as he looked away in shame. "We've discussed your trap setting problem many times, Branch..."

"I know..." he sighed, not even looking back up at her, still ashamed in himself for what he had done. "I just... I want to protect you Poppy... I want to protect our kids..." He finally looked back up at her, sighing softly before continuing. "So many predators have been getting into the village lately. I just... I couldn't stand the thought of them hurting you..." he admitted. "I love you all so much... I can't lose you..."

With a soft smile, Poppy hugged Branch, the light blue pop troll slowly hugging back.

"I love you two Branch..." she whispered into his ear. "And I understand that you want to keep the trolls safe... I get it... but there are better ways to do that..." She pulled away, looking straight into her husband's crystal blue eyes. "One or two traps are fine..." she continued. "But when you start losing sleep over it... that's not healthy..."

Branch sighed, looking away yet again.

"And now I'm stuck here..." he muttered softly. "And our kids are going to grow up without a father... it's all my fault..."

"It's not your fault, Branch..." the queen of pop assured, gently turning his head so he was looking at her again. "You were framed for a crime you didn't commit... and I'm going to find out who did it... I will get you out of here..."

A small smile crept onto Branch's face, as he hugged Poppy yet again, burying his face into her shoulder.

"Times up..." Sparkleton said harshly, yanking the two trolls apart from each other as he hooked the handcuffs back around Branch's wrists. "Visiting hours are over."

Poppy stood, giving Branch a gentle kiss on the cheek.

"I'll be back tomorrow..." she promised.

"I love you, Poppy," Branch said with a small smile, his colors seeming a bit brighter than before as he was led away. "And tell Azalea and Twig I love them too..."

Poppy nodded, not even having time to answer before the love of her life was completely out of sight.

Her smile faded as she was left alone in the room, before she finally turned, heading out of the prison to go home... she only wished... Branch could go with her...
