We see y/n Anne and the planters riding on Bessie the snail

Hop pop:ah a leisurely outing with Bessie why we can really go anywhere do anything.

Sprig:ooh ooh can we get swamp slushies they have new flavors!.

Polly:can we go off road do some crazy stunts?.

Hop pop:double no!.

Anne:ooh ooh can I drive?.

Sprig was about to agree but stops

Sprig:hmm do you get the feeling this is one of those decisions we'll look back on and say "ooh-boy we probably shouldn't have done that".

Anne:*sing-song* we'll get swamp slushies while we're out.

Sprig:no regrets!.

He yells jumping onto the saddle

Anne:that's what I like to hear hyah!.

Bessie starts to...drive?....run?....move out of her pin as the trio cheers

But now we see miss croaker driving her lady bug until she sees threw her rearview mirror a dust cloud approaching fast

Mrs. croaker:huh what in tarnation?.

It's revealed to be the trio on Bessie as they drive so fast they made mrs. croakers lady bug spin at a fast rate

Sprig:out of the way slowpoke!.

He says while...I can't explain it so I'll show you

Y/n:sorry!.

Mrs. croaker:hooligans ruffians swamp suckers!.

Anne:whoa what was that?.

Sprig:I've always wanted to try road rage.

Anne:and the verdict?.

Sprig:exhilarating.

Y/n:heh you should see me I cause road rage without even trying to.

*FLASHBACK*

Karen:you are disturbing this neighborhood with your vehicle!.

Y/n:...I'm on a bike?.

Karen:exactly riding around here like your all that!.

Y/n:...you don't have a ride do you?.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

Anne:yeesh talk about a Karen.

Sprig:yup.

Anne then turns bessie as she goes into the forest while the trio cheer in excitement they go off a cliff down a steep hill then land in a hole

Anne:*sighs*so off roading fun but how about we go back to on-roading?.

Then sprig sits up revealing that he's covered in leaves and with some in his mouth

Sprig:good old reliable on-roading yes please.

Then y/n sits up revealing sticks in his hair and stuck in his hoodie

Y/n:ya I'm tired out from off-roading on-roading please.

They both then shake the leaves and sticks off of them

Anne:alright Bessie let's move...

She doesn't move

Anne:...one more time let's move!.

Same thing

Anne:Um Bessie?.

They all look down to see Bessie hiding in her shell she looks around letting out low sputtering

Sprig:you alright girl?.

Anne:hey what's going on here does it need fuel in the tank or something is the oil low?.

Y/n:

Anne then crouches down in front of bessies shell hole

Anne:come get the tasty fuel bessie!.

But sprig brings a more better looking leaf

Sprig:ew Anne these leaves are tastier here bessie I got dem good leaves girl!.

bessie goes deeper into her shell not wanting the leaf while y/n slowly plucks a piece of the leaf and eats it

Y/n:hmm not as bad as I thought.

Anne:hmm maybe we can push her give her a jump start I'm sure that's a thing.

The trio starts pushing bessie which moves a little but then stops working

Anne:okay she is way too heavy also I'm crazy out of shape...

Y/n:but that's how the art style of the show is!.

Anne:what?.

Y/n:I said naw you look good.

Anne:*blush*....Thanks.

Sprig:what are we gonna do we're stuck!.

Anne:we have no choice me and y/n stay here with bessie while you hitch a ride back to the farm and...*groans* go get hop pop....

Y/n:bleh.

Sprig:good idea it's the right thing to do even if we get an earful back in a flash!.

He uses his tongue to pull himself up to a tree then jump from tree to tree

Anne:*sighs*

Y/n:something wrong?.

Anne:nah it's just that we're gonna be stuck here bored you know?...y/n?.

She sees y/n following ants that are carrying leaves as he looks amazed at them

Anne:heh well at least one of us is entertained...

Anne then stands by bessie but is already bored

Anne:ugh this is so boring! Wish I had something to read.

She then sees the book hop pop wanted her and y/n to read in a bag attached to bessies saddle

Anne:fine but just to pass the time.

Y/n is snapped out of his trance with the ants and looks over to Anne

Y/n:your gonna read that?.

Anne:what else can I do besides it's only to pass the time.

Anne then drops the book on the floor and is about to open it but then y/n sits next to her

Anne:what are you doing?.

Y/n:I'm gonna read it with you.

Anne:why I thought you didn't want to read it?.

Y/n:can't have you be tortured by yourself can we?.

Anne:aww thanks dude.

Y/n:ya ya let's get this over with.

Y/n then opens the book only for dust to come out which makes the two of them cough

Anne:okay let's see here.

She then started to read the book out loud so y/n could know where they were

Anne:it was an especially cold morning the day bessie was brought into this world.

The story slowly started to transition into hop pops voice

"𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭-

They then leaned back on bessies shell until both of their eyes looked towards the book then at each other

Now With sprig we see he's hopping from branch to branch until he stops and sees someone "driving" down the path

Sprig:aha!.

He then jumps down from the tree landing in the middle of the path waving his arms

Sprig:over here over here I need a ride!.

The person pulls over making dirt fly into the air making sprig cough until it slowly starts to disappear

Sprig:oh thank you so much for stopping I uh-

The dirt now fully gone it's revealed to be Mrs. croaker

Mrs. croaker:bless my socks if it isn't sprig planter

Sprig:*chuckles*yep hey uh sorry about earlier got a little carried away.

Mrs. croaker:oh pishposh Sadie croaker never holds a grudge honey.

Sprig:well that's lucky will you give me a lift back home? it's urgent.

Mrs. croaker:oh absolutely.

Sprig:thanks Mrs. croaker!.

He then hops onto the lady bug

Mrs. Croaker:oh my pleasure honey well go on and get comfy watch out for old Archie though his venom can cause paralysis.

(Y/n is gonna freak when he hears about Archie huh?)

Mrs. Croaker:now hold on to your eyebrows cause here we go!.

Mrs.croaker then starts the lady bug as sprig cheers but the lady bug goes at a slow pace

Sprig:CANT THIS THING GO ANY FASTER!?.

Now with y/n and Anne they were reading the book again with the book leaning on
Y/n's legs as Anne rests her head on his shoulder while leaning on his side

While they were reading they were also eating leaves

Back with sprig the lady bug was still walking slowly down the path as sprig looks impatient

Mrs.croaker:you know what would make this ride go a lot quicker?.

Sprig:what anything what!?.

Mrs.croaker:A song OHHHHHHH ninety-nine jugs of juice on the-

As she continues to sing sprig looks like he's about to commit a murder....oh sorry I was thinking of someone else....he actually looks dead inside

Back with Anne and y/n they've gotten more into the story

Marcy and Anne then looked at each other before Marcy crouches down and puts her finger on Waldo

She was interrupted by y/n giving her a bear hug then letting go

He than started running down the hall

Y/n:HEY KEVIN I TOLD YOU I COULD FIND HIM GIVE ME MY TWENTY DOLLARS!.

She saw Marcy frozen with a light tint on her face

Anne:you good Marcy?.

Anne:now where were we?....the reason bessie had hidden in her shell was now very clear to me a predator was close.

Y/n:aww bessie those no need to be scared of me I don't eat snails I've never tried French food.

Anne:and not just any predator a natural enemy of snails-

They then heard bushes moving and twigs snapping as they glanced at each other then looked back at the woods

Anne:uh...hello?.

Anne then started slipping threw the book

Anne:uh anything in here about this predator?.

She then found the page

Anne:oh there we go aw it's actually pretty cute.

Y/n:*Gasp*ah I want one ima give it rings!.

She then lowered the book down revealing the creatures real appearance

Anne:AH!.

Y/n:hmm...eh I could make it work.

Then it's revealed that some of the bushes were other hedgehogs curled up they then started to walk closer to the duo

Anne:y/n we need to-

Y/n:alright so what kinda toppings do you like on your chili dog?.

She turned and saw y/n crouched down with a hedgehog getting too close

Anne:Y/N CMON DUDE!.

She was about to reach for him until one of the hedgehogs snapped at her hand making her flinch away then as the hedgehog was about to pounce her but one of the other hedgehogs was thrown at it making them smash into a tree Anne then looked over to y/n to see him in a thrown stance then stood straight up with his knuckles on his hips

Y/n:fine if your gonna be like that I don't wanna keep you!.

Then another one was running at y/n

Anne:Y/N behi-

Y/n then turned and kicked the hedgehog across the face making it slam into a tree

Y/n:I got it!.

Then the hedgehog start to target y/n

Y/n:ok Anne you figure out how to move bessie while I deal with these!.

Anne:alright!.

Y/n:*thoughts*whatamidoingwhatamidoin-

She then started flipping threw the pages while a hedgehog tries to slash y/n with its claws y/n Dodges the swipe and elbows the hedgehog on the top of its head making it fall to the ground

Anne:come on come on...yes! When Bessie senses danger you gotta sit on her shell and yell at the top of your lungs*gasp* y/n jump on!.

Y/n:coming!.

Y/n had a hedgehog over him while holding its jaw back then kicks the hedgehog off and runs towards bessie and hops on

Y/n:GO GO!.

Anne:BESSIE THINGS ARE GETTING MESSY!.

Bessie then quickly comes out of her shell and starts quickly moving

Y/n:hey we're moving you did it!.

Anne:yes!.

Bessie makes a turn while the hedgehogs chase them

Anne:eat our dust hedgehogs!.

Y/n:don't underestimate them if they run on a boost pad we're doomed! WHOA.

They ducked just in time from needless that the hedgehogs

Y/n:Hey that's cheating!.

Anne then check the book again

Anne:if you still haven't escaped give bessie some berries from the secret compartment in the front of her shell

Anne then knocked on the shell making a hatch open revealing bessies heart

Anne:whoa this is gross.

Y/n:ha to you maybe!.

Y/n then grabbed the berry's out of the shell and climbed up to bessies head and put the berries in her mouth making pink slim come out from the back of her tail making them faster and making the hedgehogs slip and fall

They then made it out of the woods and turn to the path while the hedgehogs slam into a tree

Anne:way to go bessie!.

Y/n:nice job bessie!.

They both then hug bessie

Anne:you are queen of the road.

Y/n:definitely!.

Bessie then let's out happy yips

Anne:let's go home.

Y/n:yes please I need to wash my scratches.

Back with sprig we see Mrs croaker is still singing while sprig is rocking back and fourth as Mrs croaker finally finishes her song

Sprig:*sighs*glad that's finally over...

Mrs croaker:one more time!.

Sprig then grabs Archie and screams into him like a pillow

Anne:hey kid need a lift?.

Y/n:eh there boy get your backside in this car.

Sprig:Anne y/n! Thank goodness!.

He then quickly hops onto bessie

Sprig:okay bye Mrs.croaker thank you!.

Mrs.croaker:bye darlin next time try to keep that road rage in check ahahaha yeehaw!.

She then makes the lady bug run faster down the path while laughing as sprig stares in disbelief

Y/n:...I like her.

Sprig:pretty sure I just got played.

Y/n:mmm-hmm.

Anne:that woman is literally everything I want to be.

*TIMESKIP*

The trio finally made it back to the house while sprig and y/n collapse off bessie and onto the ground while Anne leans back on the seat tiredly

Sprig:we made it! And it looks like hop pop is still washing Polly.

Threw the window we see and hear stuff being broken as Polly jumps past

Polly:YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!.

Hop pop:dang it Polly you're getting filth everywhere!.

Y/n:I raised that child.

Sprig starts walking to the door but stops as he noticed y/n and Anne weren't following

Sprig:hey you coming?.

Anne:I think we're gonna spend a little more time with old bessie here.

Y/n:ya we'll come in later.

Sprig:suit yourselfs.

Sprig then walks In the house leaving the two then y/n quickly jumps onto bessies shell near Anne

Y/n:open it open it open it!.

Anne she then pulls out the book and hopping onto bessies shell with y/n

Anne:hey...

Y/n:what's up?.

Anne: back there...thanks for helping me with the hedgehogs and buying us some time.

Y/n:aww shucks it was no big deal...except the scratches.

Anne:you know it's funny sometimes I think about how would it be if you weren't with me...I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm glad you're always by my side.

She says with a tint of red on her cheeks

Y/n:aww I'm grateful for having such a great friend like you too Anne.

The tint of red went away as Anne stares down at the book

Anne:heh...ya

Y/n:alright we gonna read this?.

She then quickly shakes her head snapping out of it

Anne:r-right sorry where were we.

*TIMESKIP*

It was now morning as the sun starts to rise we see hop pop sleeping calmly in his bed...until the giant book falls on his stomach

Hop pop:OOF what the hey?.

He then looks up to see a tired looking Anne

Anne:...good morning hopadiah.

Hop pop:Anne.?

Anne:we did it...we read the whole thing...in one night...

Hop pop:you AND y/n?. Impressive kinda scary but impressive!.

She then falls into a chair

Anne:I was wrong about bessie she's not just a vehicle she's a noble beautiful creature.

Hop pop:and now that you two read this all you need is experience.

She then widens her eyes and begins to slowly laugh

Anne:hehehe...hehehe...hahahah...HAHAH

Then full on evil laughing as she tries to walk out but hits a wall but gets it the second time

Hop pop:...I don't feel safe.

Y/n:good.

Hop pop:AHHH!.

Y/n was now somehow next to hop pops bed

Y/n:I'm not gonna lie she touched my heart when she did that.

Hop pop:what?.

Y/n:....

Hop pop:y/n can you hear me?.

He then collapses to the floor
