2 years later [Hope's PoV]

I groan in bed as sunlight hits my eyes. I'm now 15 years old, Scarlet is married to Kennith, and it was time for her to become queen of the angels. I didn't want this day to come. I hadn't seen my 20 year old sister in 2 years. She's been avoiding me around the palace, she's always been busy training new solders. Every time I get a chance to visit her, her main servant, Valery, pushes me away.

I'm still blamed for mother's death. I have dreams about her sometimes and I hate it when I wake up, crying myself back to sleep when I do. Scarlet still hates me. I know she does.

I flipped over on my bed, slightly opening my eyes. Then, there was a knock at the door. I knew who it was. My friend Gwen. She said herself she would come wake me up on my sister's Coronation if I didn't do it myself.

"Yes?" I called, sitting up with a yawn.

"It's Gwen. Lindsey is here with your breakfast." I hear a cheery voice from the hall.

"Come in!" I reply. A second later, the door opens and I see my main servant, Lindsey, with a tray on food in her hands. Her black hair was in a tight bun. On the tray, there was a bowl of fruit, a cup of juice, and some eggs and toast on a plate. She set it down on my bed.

Gwen flutters behind her. Gwen was one of the most popular angels that live near the palace. She's my best friend, and Kennith's main assistant. She had super long, naturally curled, platinum blond hair and bright green eyes. They popped out against her sun kissed skin. She wore a glittery ankle high dress and a plain thin white sweater over it. She had her favorite grey boots on as well.

"My princess, it's Mrs. Scarlet's Coronation Day." the servant said.

"Yes I know. And please, how many times to I have to ask for you to call me Hope?" I gave Lindsey a warm smile and she bowed her head, folding her wings inward more.

"Yes, Ms. Hope. I'm so sorry." A giggle came from Gwen as my servant left.

"Stop it." I gave her a playful glare. "Is Julia coming soon?" I asked.

"Not this moment. She got caught up in a date with Adrienne." Gwen replied with a sigh. Adrienne was Julia's boyfriend. They got together almost a year before.

"You know, you and Julia both have boyfriends, and I don't." I said, as I reached for my food tray. I couldn't quite reach it, so I reached a little further. Before I could touch it, Gwen rolled her eyes and handed the tray to me. I gave her another playful glare.

"Hey, you'll find the right angel soon enough. Either way, I'm older than you."

"Just by a year." I rejected, taking a sip of my juice.

"What kind of juice is that?" Gwen asked, tilting her head, and sitting at the edge of my bed.

"Pomegranate." I stated. After being my main servant for two years, I'm pretty sure Lindsey now knew what my favorite juice was. "Anyways, don't change the subject." I pointed a finger at her with my hand holding my juice. The ice in it rattled against the glass cup.

Gwen gave me a laugh which made me roll my eyes. "Come on. Julia is only a few months younger." She gave me an amused look.

"Only?" I smirked and took a bite of my toast. There was a minute of silence after that. Then Gwen stood up.

"Alright, I have to go help set up. The Coronation is in 3 hours. You'll be ready by then right?" Gwen started walking out the door, but stopped right before the door frame. She turned her head and looked at me when I didn't answer. "Right?" she asked again, flaring her feathery wings.

"Yes 'mom'." I rolled my eyes and sighed. Gwen giggled in return.

"Alright, see you later." She flipped her hair before spreading her wings and pushing off the ground, into the hallway. I listened until couldn't hear the flap of her wings soaring to the throne room.

"I don't want to get ready." I wined and took a bite of eggs, and another sip of my juice. At the same time, I turned my head to my full body mirror on my wall. It was next to my makeup dresser. My hair was a crazy mess, some of it in clumps while other stands were in my face or just doing its own thing. I frowned at myself, knowing that mother and father wouldn't have been proud if they saw me like this.

[Scarlet's PoV]

I stood in front of three full body mirrors lined up next to each other. I had been standing there for almost 20 minutes as servants went by me left and right. Some were assembling my coronation dress, others needed my opinion on the decorations, and some were reviewing food stock for the after party. Looking at myself in mirror, I wondered if this is what mother had to go through on her coronation day. I was already bored, staring at the long white cloth I was wearing as the base of the dress.

Hot pink thread lined the dress where lace, cloth, and other decorations had to go. only a few things were placed here and there and I wished the servants were faster.

"It'll take about 2 hours to assemble the dress my queen." I remembered Valery saying to me before the dress assembly started.

"Two whole hours!?" I had replied. I shook my head in disappoint. "Also, I not the queen yet."

"Right, my future queen. I'm sorry." Valery bowed her head, silver strands of hair came in front of her face as she did.

"No need." I had said as another servant handed me the cloth I was wearing at the moment.

I folded my wings inward as a servant started sewing lace to the side of my dress. At that moment, Valery came to me with a large clipboard and a pen in her hands.

"My queen. Future. Queen." She started giving me a quick nod.

"Yes Valery?" I asked in return.

"Kennith wishes to see you."

"What about?" I gave my servant a nervous look.

"I don't know, miss." Valery shrugged. "But I said he could come in for just a moment. When Kennith is done, I need to ask about your makeup and we must discuss your hair options."

"Very well. Thank you Valery." I said right before I felt a rush from beating wings. I turned my head to see Kennith, my husband. He was a beautiful angel with luscious golden brown hair and pale green eyes.

"Hello my lady." He said in a manly voice. I giggled as one of the servant with my dress materials bumped into him. "Oh! Are you alright?" He said as she dropped some fabric. Kennith leaned down and picked everything up for her.

"Thank you my king." She gave him a curtsy and went over to some other servants who helped sort the fabrics.

Kennith gave me a bright smile and folded his wings tightly to make sure he didn't bump into anyone else.

"Very nice, my love." I gave him a warm smile.

"Thank you, my lady." he went back to his manly voice. "Anyways. Gwen spook with Hope. She didn't seem to excited about the Coronation."

I sighed. "I thought so. I haven't seen her in what? ... 2 years? What kind of a sister am I?"

"I really good one dear." Kennith came closer and put a hand on my shoulder. I gave him a sweet grin. This is why he stole my heart. He was always so kind and gentle, but then serious when he needed to be.

"Thanks." I replied, placing a hand on top of his. "How's the throne room looking?"

"Just fine now that Gwen is here. She took over for me while I came over here." He chuckled when I gave him a confused look. "Don't worry, she's good with decorations."

"Are there things Hope likes?" I requested. I felt a tug on my dress and looked down to see a servant sewing fleece to it.

"Hey," Kennith grabbed my attention. "Stop worrying about your sister. I promise, she's going to be fine once you guys meet up again."

"You're so good at making me feel better hun."

"You're my queen. I kind of have to." Kennith joked. I rolled my eyes with a smile as he laughed.

"Miss," Valery interrupted. "I'm sorry to stop the conversation, but we have some important acquaintances to attend to. I'm sorry my king, but may I ask that you leave?"

"Of course Valery. Thank you." Kennith faced me. "Love you darling. See you later."

"Love you too." I replied with a giggle. We shared a smile before Kennith turned and weaved in between servants. Then he walked out of the dressing room. I heard his wings flutter from out in the halls. "What would I do without him?" I asked Valery, not looking away from the door.

"Not this much my queen." I turned to see Valery shake her head in disappointment.

"Thanks." I said, giving my servant a playful glare.

An hour later [3rd Perosn View]

"Ms. Gwen-" A servant called from across the room.

"Excuse me Ms. Gwen-" another tapped Gwen's shoulder.

"Ms. Gwen! We need your help over here!" two others hollered.

"Ms. Gwen! This is urgent!"  one called from below.

"One minute! What do you need? Hold on over there!" Gwen called. She flew back and forth in the throne room. Her hair flung in her face, Gwen moving it behind her ear each time. She sighed. One servant wanted to know which color looked best on the walls. Another wanted help positioning something. more wanted opinions on how good something was, or on how to improve it.

She looked back and forth, wondering how Kennith could ever keep up with this mess. The echo of wing beats were everywhere, feathers flew all over the place. Servants were working left and right. Most were dealing with decorations. Some were cleaning, others were working on setting up the chairs for all the angels in the area. Some angels weren't coming because they didn't respect Queen Scarlet, but man, were there still a lot of chairs.

"Ms. Gwen!" A servant called from behind her. Gwen huffed and flew to him, dodging passing angel servants as she went.

"What do you need?" she asked, trying to hide her annoyance.

"We have a new request for the king." He replied as another servant flew in between them.

"So sorry!" He called out, ribbons dangling from his hands.

Gwen shook her head, thinking about how disorganized the place was. Then, she turned back to the servant. "What is the request may I ask?"

"The queen wishes for some of the decorations to be what her sister desires. The king asked if you go visit the princess and figure something out. You know, to make the queen happy?"

"Very well." Gwen stated. She paused, then sighed. "One thing you should add is some pomegranate juice as a drink option. The princess would enjoy that."

The servant gave her a confused look, then stated, "Right away." and flew off, flapping his wings to get to the kitchen.

Gwen nodded to herself and slowly led her way out the throne room.

The halls were quiet. After being in the throne room for an hour, Gwen understood why Kennith was so stressed earlier.

"Ugh I can't handle this right now." he had told Gwen. "Can you take care of this...mess?" his voice cracked a bit as he forced a smile to Gwen.

Gwen just chuckled lightly. "As you wish my king. I can handle it"

Gwen frowned at herself, completely regretting that decision as she glided through a large corridor and into the main hall. she took a left through another corridor and soon she reached Hope's bedroom. She landed in front of the door, folding her wings as she knocked.

"Come in!" She heard Hope's slightly high pitched voice.

"Hey I need to ask some questions." Gwen opened the door, poking her head through. Her hair waved passed her. "Wow! You look great!"

Hope gave her an annoyed, thankful look. Two servants were working on her white and light grey layered dressed. The colors went back and forth on each layer, the ripples of fabric created and amazing effect. She had knee length white socks on and white flats. On her back, was small fake angel wings.

"Hey, can't say you never look good." Gwen chuckled at her friend. One of the servants started braiding tiny grey flowers in her hair. the other started wrapping her hair into a messy bun.

"Thanks...I guess." Hope gave her friend a small smile.

"So..." Gwen stepped into the room. "I had a request from the queen. She wanted me to ask if there's anything you wanted at the Coronation. It's only in what...under 2 hours?"

"2 hours!? Is Scarlet even ready?"

"Haha!" Gwen faked a laugh. "Not even close."

Hope shrugged as I long, thin cape was draped over her shoulders. It had a white fluffy trim around the edges.

"By the way," Hope tried to speak as the servants used brushes to apply make up to her face. "How's my brother-in-law doing? Heard he was pretty stressed out."

There was a paused as Gwen looked for the correct thing to say.

"I'm right aren't I?" Hope gave Gwen a smile and an eye roll.

"All done my princess." one of the servants said. Both bowed their heads.

"Thank you Petal and Bree." Hope nodded to the servants and they left the room in a hurry. "Man is this dress tight." Hope groaned with a laugh. She tugged on the side of her dress.

"Hey, I have a present for you." Gwen tilted her head at her friend.

"Yes? What is it? Make it quick before I explode in my hot room." Hope reached for a pair of white gloves that were laying on her bed.

As Hope slipped them on, Gwen reached to the end of the bed and pulled a small box from under the covers.

Hope paused. "You put it there this morning, didn't you?" She gave an joking like annoyed tone.

"Maybe. Maybe not." Gwen answered, pretending to think as she rubbed her chin.

"Come on! I want to see it now!" Hope pounced on Gwen and the two fell to the floor with a thump. Gwen spread her wings so they weren't damaged.

"Alright chill!" Gwen laughed when Hope started tickling her. When she dropped the box, Hope turned her attention to it. She snatched it right up and giggled, getting up.

"Thanks!" She jumped on her bed.

"Hey! You not going to help me up?" Gwen pretended to be super annoyed.

"Nope!" Hope laughed as Gwen got up and sat on the bed next to her.

"Meanie." Gwen lightly hit Hope in the arm. The two friends giggled as Hope opened the box.

Inside was a teardrop charm. It was tinted light blue and was attached to a long chain.

"Wow..." Hope held the charm close to her, examining it.

"Do you like it?" Gwen cheered, hopeful.

"Of course I do, but...I've never seen anything like it. Where-"

"You wouldn't believe me If I told you." Gwen chuckled.

"Thanks so much Gwen!" Hope gave Gwen a light hug before loud bells began to chime.

"We have an hour and a half before the coronation." Gwen explained, leaning to the side to look into the hallway. "It's time to let the guests in. Let me help you but the necklace on and then we can go."
