Three hours.

That's how long you've been practicing.

That's how long you've been working your butt off to master your quirk's full potential.

But why? Why can't you control it? Why, out of all people did you have to be the one to have least control of your quirk? 

As if you weren't an outcast already. Wearing different clothes than other girls... They just aren't your style. Only one person has been there for you, however. His name was Todoroki Shouto.

Ever since you attended the acadamy he never made you feel left out. But that was just one person. Everyone else thought you were a freak for wearing black and dying your hair. 

Not him though. He would never make unnessesary coments or judge you for how you dressed or acted, and he made you feel loved. Todoroki was one of your best friends. But sadly, you two started to drift apart, ad you didn't know why. You took this extra time to practice surpassing the limits of your power.

You tried a new technique. Hitting a fast moving target, but you coul never get the timing right.

Damn it! Why can't I hit the freaking target?!

You kicked a rock into some bushes and heard a yelp of pain.

"Who's there?" You call out, summoning flames into your hands, ready to fire.

"Oh come on, you think you can threaten me with that quirk? YOU THINK YOU CAN CHALLENGE ME?!?!" The familiar voice yelled back, causing you to roll your eyes.

Oh my God, this is the third time this week...

"Why do you keep doing this Bakugou?" You asked the pyromaniac.

"Can't a guy like me have a little fun, freak? Or is your emo a** afraid of losing again?" He taunted, laughing.

"Ha, you wish." You retorted, instantly regretting accepting his challenge.

Oh crap... his quirk is so much more poweful than mine... how the heck am I supposed to beat him?

You charged, planning to sweep his legs out from under him, but instead he kneed you in the stomache and got you with a right hook, then an uppercut. After you fell down in pain, Bakugou was about to grab you once more but he was shot away by a pillar of ice.

Soon, Todoroki was standing over you with his hand out.

"Well, are you going to let me help you up or not?" He asked with a bored expression.

"Tch. I don't need help but thanks I guess. I could have taken him out though..." You mumbled as you tried to get up, but kneeled back down in pain. Concern was painted on Todoroki's face as he bent down to pick you up, bridal style. 

"You need help. I'm taking you to Recovery Girl." He stated, not taking no for an answer.

You decided to accept your fate and soon fell asleep in his arms.

*time skip*

You woke up in a hospital bed with a warm pressure on your right hand. You looked over to see that Todoroki was holding your hand, asleep.

"He's been there ever since last night, when he went home to get food and water. Then he came right back here and never left your side." A voice sighed, and you realized it was Recovery Girl, repositioning Todoroki's blanket that was draped over him.

Wow he's never looked this adorable... or maybe he had, but I never noticed...

Your eyes widened at what was going on in your brain and blushed, realizing that you had been in love with your only and best friend ever since you met him.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT IT FELT LIKE TO HAVE A FRIEND.... BUT INSTEAD IT- IT WAS                  L-LOVE?!!?!

"Y/N... You're awake. That's good." You looked over and saw that Todoroki was now awake, and was smiling lightly at your blush.

"Y-Yeah... Of course I'm awake... I'm not going to stay asleep long because of a little fight! Nah, I'm tough. I can take it-"

"Y/N. Please stop... You were hurt, and I had to watch you suffer. I can't stand seeing you like this, so please. Stop getting into fights!" You were shocked that he was so mad at you.

"T-Todoroki I-" You gasped, at a loss for words.

"Listen to me Y/N. I don't want you to get hurt because... Because I..."

"Because what?" Your heart was pounding with anticipation.

"I... I l-like you Y/N..." He finally spat out, making your face as red as half of his head.

"Todoroki... I..... I like you too." You said, more confidently than you thought.

Todoroki just smiled.

"Well, I know I can't stop you from fighting people, but I can still keep your injuries down to a minimum. Y/N, please let me stay by your side."

"Of course I will, Todoroki-Kun!" You were smiling but soon froze when you felt a pair of soft lips on yours. However, you slowly melted into the kiss and stayed there for a bit, savoring every moment as if it were your last with him.

Todoroki pulled away, and you opened your mouth in protest, but the look in his eyes caused you to close it.

"I take it back. I don't like you Y/N, I love you."
