in which... eden bexley and her group of sun-kissed friends discover a mystery of a lifetime with gold, thriller and even life-threatening adventures. what could you expect? with a bunch of pogues, life is bound to be a little bit crazy.

Reader's notes/rambles

— First things: I've never watched Outer Banks, so I was totally going in blind with this. But I love Mara's writing and her fics are always good, so I'm always gonna read her fics and support <3  And really glad I did because it is awesome!!

— It's a fun fic with elements of drama and danger and moments that will tear your heart out WITHOUT MERCY and yet leave you wanting for more while questioning Mara for the pain she delivered upon you. Plus, if you haven't watched the show, it's easy to pick up the plot and follow along with it!! 

— Eden is such a great character!! I adore her so much (love exasperated mom friend characters with all my heart) though I do want to give her massive hugs SEVERAL times (and wanting a bracelet of hers)

— The dynamics between Eden and all of the characters are awesome,  (found family my beloved <3333) though her sibling-like dynamic with John B has my heart the most. These two have made my heart warm and shatter in equal amounts  (won't spoil, but it's currently shattered now *looks pointedly at Mara*) Though Eden's dynamic with Isla... give hugs for our girl and get her away from Isla stat

— Writing, as always, is superior!! Since I haven't watched the show, I think it captures the fun summery adventurous elements while capturing the emotion and drama and, yes, pain as well (it's just awesome writing as always, Mara)

— To top it off, Summertime Sadness is an incredible fic and if you haven't already, go and read it even if you haven't watched the show!! If it isn't up your alley, check out Mara's Stranger Things and Scream fics (though the current chapter of her third Stranger Things fic WILL brutally rip your heart out and tear it into shreds), and just show her all the support and love she and her fics deserves!!!!
