Automatically, my grip around her tightened. She sobbed harder. My mind was blank; I couldn't understand what to say to console her. I just stroked her back, assuring her that I was there.

“I am sorry... Sorry, Jungkook... f-for me...” She couldn't complete her sentence as she hiccuped badly. I made her sit and gave her a glass of water while rubbing her back to calm her down.

“It's okay. It's not your fault, hmm? Shhh... It's nothing... Let's forget. Come here, let's sleep.” I spread my hands towards her.

She came and hugged me again, burying her face in my neck. Her hot breath was doing something to my body.

“I am so—”

Before she could complete her sentence, I stopped her.

“Ynaah, why are you blaming yourself, huh, without doing anything? That's not what Jungkook's wife does.” I said to calm her down, but instead, she raised her head and looked at me...

Yn's POV.....

“Ynaah, why are you blaming yourself, huh, without doing anything? That's not what Jungkook's wife does.”

As soon as Jungkook said this, I quickly looked at him, wondering why he suddenly said this. Did he accept me as his wife already? Or is it just to calm me down?

I don't know why my dad is doing these things. He already sent me out of his house; now what does he want?

He again made me lie down, then kissed my forehead and stroked my hair. Soon, I fell asleep.

Jk's POV....

“I can't do anything, Ynaah. I still don't have any power. But I promise that in the future, I will give you justice.” I hugged her more tightly than ever and drifted into sleep.

I felt some wiggles in my embrace... So I opened my eyes and looked at her... It was already morning, and she was snuggling into my neck more. It felt ticklish. I just caressed her hair and kissed her forehead, but this shocked me.

She was burning with fever. That's why she was finding warmth snuggling into my neck. I quickly got up, making her whine.

“Unnnhhg... Jungkook, please don't go. It's so cold,” she asked me.

“Yn... You're burning with fever. Let me call the doctor.” I hurriedly took my phone and called the doctor.

“Now come, please,” she asked again.

“Let me bring an ice bag.” I almost ran to the kitchen and brought the ice bag.

Soon, the doctor came and checked her. She gave me a prescription to buy the medicines and left.

“Jungkook,” as soon as I heard her calling me, I went near her and sat beside her.

“I think I can't go to college. But please get ready fast, or you will be late,” she said.

“Are you crazy, Mrs. Jeon? You're burning with fever and want me to go to college? Lay here quietly; I will be back in 20 minutes.” I left to buy the medicines.

On the way, I also bought spicy tteokbokki. I know spicy things feel delicious when you have a fever. After that, I rushed home and went straight to Yn.

Till now, she is shivering badly. I quickly changed the ice pack with a new one, then made her eat the food and gave her medicine.

It's been half an hour, and still, I checked her forehead, but she is burning like hell. I don't know what to do, so I called the doctor again and asked for suggestions.

She told me to wipe her whole body with cold water or make her take a bath.

“Ynaah... Wake up,” I called her while caressing her hair.

“Unngh no... I have no energy,” she replied in a very low tone. If I didn't hear carefully, maybe I wouldn't have heard that.

“Ynaah, your fever is not going down. You have to take a bath, or I have to wipe your body.”

“Jungkook, I can't walk, really,” she said with her eyes closed.

So there is no other way left. I brought a tub with cold water into the room. I bit my lips, thinking about how I would do it. But I have to. Otherwise, it will only worsen her condition.

“Ynaah, I have to wipe your body, okay?” As I said this, she nodded her head.

“You trust me, right?” I asked again, and she nodded once more.

Finally, after fighting with my thoughts, I removed the blanket. Then I thought about closing my eyes. But wiping with closed eyes is not even possible. Then something clicked in my mind.

I slipped my hand from the back of her nightgown and unhooked her bra. Then I removed it. As soon as I touched her body, I felt how much she was burning.

So, without wasting any moment, I dipped the towel in the water, then took it out and slid it inside her nightgown, slowly wiping her back.

She hissed as soon as the cold towel touched her body. I wiped her body for almost 15 minutes, and now her fever was subsiding. Thanks to God.

After that, she went into a deep slumber again, and in the meantime, I washed up and ordered food for both of us. I quickly ate the food, as I knew when she woke up, she would throw tantrums, and I would have to feed her patiently, as she had already done in the morning when I was feeding her.

I was placing food on her plate when she came down.

“Yn, why did you ca-”

Before I could complete my words, she came and hugged me.

“You left me all alone.” I smiled at her and caressed her hair. “You were sleeping, and I came to do some things.”

“Jungkook, I am hungry. Can you feed me?” As soon as I heard that, I quickly made her sit in the chair and started feeding her. As soon as she took the first bite, she made faces.

“Eww... It's bitter. I don't want any more.” She was about to get up, but I held her.

“No, no, no. You have to eat. How will you walk in this weak condition if you don't eat? Now quickly eat.” I let go of her hand to take the spoon again, and in the meantime, she tried to run again. But this time, I caught her and made her sit on my lap, holding her firmly.

“Now you won't be able to run. And you have to eat.”

She made a crying face... Aww, she looks cute. Anyway...

After that, I took her to the bedroom. Due to her weakness, she slept again. The whole day went by like this, and thankfully, the fever didn't return. Maybe it was just a mild fever...
