A wedding!

How exciting!

Except it's Amita and Lily's.

And... the title is ominous...

The blindfolds were removed, and we blinked as our eyes adjusted to the bright lights.

The room we were currently in had light grey walls with white pillars that stretched to the ceiling high above. There was a white rug that went from the door to far end of the room, where a throne was.

Amita was on the red throne, legs thrown over one side and head dangling off the other. She muttered to herself and twiddled her thumbs.

"Amita?" Wrecker called out.

She raised her head, blinking at him. "Wrecker? What are you doing here? What am I doing here?"

"We're here for your wedding," Crosshair carefully said, eyes flicking to the exits.

"Amita!" Lily sung, strutting in behind us, wearing a pink dress. "Are you ready, darling?"

Amita swallowed, eyes filling with fear. "Yes."

Lily cocked her head. "Then why aren't you in your wedding dress?"

Amita bowed her head and hurried off. Tech watched her go, something that resembled... guilt in his gaze for some reason.

"Are you excited?" Lily asked me, leaning against one of the pillars. "Or are you nervous for the after party?"

"Why would we be nervous for the after party?" I questioned, crossing my arms.

Lily cackled. "Amita hasn't told you?"

"She didn't even tell us she had a fiancé," Crosshair told her, rolling his eyes. "So no, she hasn't told us about the after party."

Lily sighed, though a smile pulled at her lips. "I don't want to spoil the surprise then."

She toyed at the knife at her waist.

Amita slowly walked into the room, dressed in a white wedding dress.

"Why the colour white, if I might ask?" Tech inquired. "Is it a traditional choice, or is there another motive to it?"

"The colour white stains so easily, and it proudly shows any blemishes that are on it," Lily answered, running her finger along Amita's collarbone.

"Why do you wish to show off any possible stains? Aren't they considered embarrassing?" Tech frowned, typing into his datapad.

"Enough questions, it's time for the wedding," Lily sharply said, opening a small door I hadn't noticed before.

We squeezed into the narrow opening, shuffling behind Lily. Wrecker and I exchanged looks, and he nodded to his blaster, hooked at his waist.

"Here we are!" Lily announced, welcoming us into a dimly lit chamber.

An arch was on top of a stone pedestal, and a few seats had been put for us facing it.

"Why is it you decided to have your wedding here?" Tech questioned, taking in the arch of white flowers.

Lily ignored him and pushed Amita under the arch. Amita rubbed at the scar on her neck as Lily seated the rest of us.

"Where's the officiant?" Wrecker asked, looking around.

"Don't need one. It's not an official wedding, we're just doing something small!" Lily smiled brightly, standing next to Amita.

Crosshair shifted in his seat. "Can we get this over with? I don't like weddings."

Amita's eyes were glazed over, and I kept trying to signal to her, but she acted like she didn't see me. It worried me, and I didn't like how Lily's fingers kept caressing the knife at her hip.

Lily said her vows, beaming at Amita. Amita slurred as she said her vows, having her hands entwined with Lily's.

"And now for the after party!" Lily exclaimed, turning to us. "Are you ready?"

"Whatever," Crosshair said, scowling. "I hate weddings."

Lily whipped the knife out from her belt, and we all lunged forward, and I let out a warning shout to Amita.

Amita, who blankly stared at Lily.

Amita, who didn't even let out a grunt as the knife was buried into her abdomen.

Amita, who merely blinked as her wedding dress turned red.

Amita, who was dying in front of us.
