It's a new day, and the sun was blazing over the hilltops, as well as it shone over the beauty of imperfection itself.

Imperfection, that word only meant so much to Mandy up to a point where she could no longer find meaning in it. Generally, nothing is perfect or imperfect. Mandy was one of those people in society that do acknowledge this fact. But even so, if this fact were to come off as obvious in her everyday life, she never expected Lou to be the spark in her life to question why nothing is imperfect or perfect. The answer to this, is simply that everyone in the world has their own meaning of perfect, they have their own visual image as to what is perfect to them, what makes them feel satisfied within everyday life due to the beauty of what they find is perfect. But, alas, even a bright girl like Mandy couldn't find the answer to this question and still leaves the thought unanswered in her head.

So here she is, sitting in front of her vanity, with an eyeliner brush in hand, finishing a wing to her left eye. Yep, Mandy's insecurities just happen to strike her again, but within this society- nobody can blame her. The thoughts of being perfect to other girls and friends seemed almost laughable. When it came to the thought of Lou? Something inside of her longed to be good enough for him. Mandy let out a sigh, nothing was physically tight or suffocating her, but in all reality, she felt like something was making her hold her breath. The pain and lack of comfort were worth all this? Mandy knew the answer was no, but she would go to the highest limits if it meant changing for the better.

Mandy arose from her seat and stood back from the vanity. She tried to admire her look, but although she looked stunningly beautiful, she felt uncomfortable and not herself. She let out a frustrated groan, but it must have been so loud that Lou heard her doing so.

"Mandy? Everything alright?" His voice was faint, as he was in the hall most likely. Mandy panicked for a few moments until she was able to find a voice. "Uh. Yeah! Everything's all good down here!". Except everything wasn't all good. But, she couldn't tell Lou that. 'What am I doing...'

Mandy had taken off her glasses, all she had done was almost completely cake her face up. Any applicable product was applied to her skin. She didnt wear false eyelashes, knowing that she'd feel even more uncomfortable with who she was at the moment. She kept her hair up, although she wanted to be the best for Lou, she still at least wanted a bit of who she is to cling on to her, she wouldn't be Mandy without her hair bun. As soon as she was beginning to doubt her idea altogether, the sun's shine flared over her beauty room, and shone even more on her complexion. To her, she looked untouchable. Her beautiful smile then appeared on her face. Now she was confident, and able.

A voice from above her floor level, although once again faint, interrupted her from her thoughts. "Hey Mandy! I'm about to leave."

Lou then heard the shuffling from the end of the hall, making him chuckle. He was looking at himself once again in his reflection upon the wall, dusting off any unwanted dust or so. Mandy had walked up to him, pecking his cheek. Lou smiled at her act of affection, but her work didn't go unnoticed by Lou in his reflection.

"Whoah... What's uh, w-what's with the getup?" Mandy slightly laughed at his reaction towards her effort.

"Well, I don't know. I suddenly felt- inspired." Lou raised an eyebrow in confusion, but shook his head ,and just went with it.

"Well-"

"OH! Will you look at the time? Isn't that crazy, turns out I have something to do today! See ya! Bye!" Mandy rushed, leaving a quick peck on Lou's cheek before leaving the room and heading out the door.

Lou was so stunned by her attitude towards him. He felt a little uneasy even though a part of him told himself to not worry. He didn't take any chances when it came to Mandy, though. Today was his day off, as well as it was a day off for the rest of the other dolls. Lou's original intention was to spend his day with Mandy. That backfired. Who knew that, sometimes, even the smallest chances don't stand a chance within life, no matter how possible they seem.

"I just don't understand! I know that she specializes in beauty, but it didn't seem so experimental when I saw her. It's like she was forcing a feeling or something. I don't know man, it's so complicated." Lou ranted off to Nolan who sat across from him, drinking a lemonade, trying to understand Lou's situation.

"Well, to me it sounds like she is trying to do something for her own personal assurance?" Nolan suggested, making it almost sound like a question. Lou raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Think about it. Mandy- so far I've heard - amongst all of us had been through so much. She hasn't felt proper care from other people around her. Ever since Moxie came along and all of...that happened, Mandy had been reminded that she is loved, and that she can love herself. Y'know, despite how cheesy that sounds. And sounds to me, like she is trying to look 'perfect' in order to still kinda maintain that feeling of being loved and appreciated." Nolan explained.

Lou understood that sense, but it still didn't occur to him as to why it has anything to do with right NOW. She already felt loved and appreciated right after Moxie and the Gang came along to save her from herself.

"But she doesn't NEED to assure herself that she's appreciated, because she already is!" Lou covered is face with his hands, trying to figure out the situation more sensibly. Lou then perked up slightly, and turned his attention back to Nolan.

"How do you know all of this anyway," Lou questioned. Nolan just huffed a laugh. "Well... second perspectives always count. And it's kind of the idea that the more you long the feeling, the easier it is to try to understand." Lou could certainly agree with that. But if he once longed the feeling, then why did it not occur to him? 'I guess I wasn't looking in the right direction.' He agreed with himself there and decided to give it a rest.

"What makes Mandy so special to you? Maybe you'll get an understanding from there."

"God, where do I start?"

"Then try comparing her to all the other girls you've dated or had experiences with."

"Okay well, with most of the girls I've spent time with, it was like majority of them would talk about themselves or how great I am, just to get me to like them. They always focused on the fact that I was some hot, smooth talker, but they never really paid attention to what my intentions were. Which is why they were so boring, no disrespect to the ladies of course, but it just didn't feel worth it." Lou paused his reasonings and looked over to Nolan, who just kept nodding.

"But with Mandy?..."

"With Mandy, she actually wants to understand as a person, not the fact that I'm some prototype with no errors and abs for reasoning, but simply because she wanted me to be happy. It's so easy to have a conversation with her! And it's so natural when her presence is around. With those other girls, they wanted to be some other best for me. Mandy, on the other hand, was just being herself." Lou concluded, unintentionally now reminding himself how amazing is girlfriend was.

"So don't you find it unusual, how suddenly now she's becoming those girls? When she was easily just being herself before?" Nolan had a good point.

"So you're suggesting she's feeling... insecure?" Lou shook his head while speaking. Nolan sadly nodded his head.

Lou just stayed in his seat, shaking his head a little in confusion."Well, I don't know. I suddenly felt- inspired." Is what she said. Mandy was beautiful! and amazing as she was, that's what Lou fell inlove with. But he had quickly reminded himself that Mandy was somewhat senstive to apperance, so it was- in a way- natural for her to feel immensely bad about herself.

"So, what are you gonna do?"
