Yeah, I changed some stuff about Surge (I do that with all my favorite characters)

Surge is the usual hot-head, but he has more control over his feelings. Although, he does have a rage state (the name says it all). During that time, it's nearly impossible to calm him down. In this state, his eyes have a reddish glow, which, kinda makes him look more like a villain. Surge has only been in this state once, during a fight with a former villain.

There's this guy, called Steven Grant. He's the team leader of the Gamma team. (I literally only created him for my AU) Grant continuously makes jokes about the Alpha-team, especially about Surge, due to his clumsiness and him being a bit weaker than the others. Surge pretends that it doesn't bother him, but in reality, it has a strong impact on his mental health. He already has a strong lack of sleep, but with the extra training he puts himself in, his core drains much faster than the others and he needs to force himself to act normal.

When interacting with Grant, if you watch closely, you'll see that his eyes turn from blue to a slightly purple kind of colour. (The more red his eyes are, the closer he is to snapping).

Due to all his mental stress and other problems, Zip already fears that Surge needs a core replacement. His core's capability of storing energy etc. is getting worse, and if you compare a picture of Surge like, 10 years ago and a present picture, you'll notice that his core's colour has faded a bit.

Anyone who interacts with Surge 24/7 will notice these changes. That would be Furno, Breeze, a lot of times Bulk, and Zip.

Altogether, Surge doesn't have a lot of difference from the show on the outside, but he really needs a therapist for his mental health.
