Question: What kind of art do you do? Or what kind of art do you like?

Why thanks for asking!! (My eyes are just lighting up just now! Teehee!) I love mainly painting and drawing, I also do a bit of digital editing on photoshop and Magi-Shop.. which is pretty much just photoshop, only using Archive- Magic.. I can't sculpt though, Clay just doesn't get there for me. I mean, I feel it's enough that you can craft a 3D image onto a 2D display, learning to create depth and perspective from a flat surface is something I feel like is a true skill. Not trying demean sculptors or anything! It's just my own personal reason for pursuing a certain kind of art. I'm pretty sure sculpting is a very varied and fascinating branch of art too.. just not fascinating to me personally.

My Family isn't as into the stuff as I am (My Mama loves to post everything I've ever done when I was 5 on the fridge though.. ) But one thing that we all seem to get into, that I especially love, is Screen Printing. Basically just making a cutout, whether it's wood, or stenciling or stamp making, and applying ink to it. I especially like making Shirts with the Screen Printer Aunt Lucy got me for Christmas, even got a little side business going where people pay me to make shirts. It's just a large board with a frame that opens and closes so I can press the paper onto my stencil that's covered in ink, so no chance of accidentally getting emotional and screwing up software with my powers.

Another thing I'm into.. which annoys the HECK out of the entire guild I'll tell you, is portraits. Whether it's charcoal, paint or oil pastels I find it's a nice way to focus my mind. But.. er.. well the thing is, portraits require you have a face to look at and paint.. and I'm not like that Squidward guy from the Spongebob show where I'd be content to only draw my own face. So most of my subjects consist of members of the guild, who don't really like sitting still for 3 hour sessions every day. A good painting takes time. Uncle Natsu and my friend Tatsu NEVER stayed in their chairs for more than 10 minutes. My Mama and Levy were the most patient with me, but even they couldn't really enjoy the whole part where they couldn't move an inch. Aunt Lucy was also a bit better cause apparently she used to sit down to family portraits with her mom and dad when she was little (apparently her family was loaded.. I still can't believe it! Especially when she ALWAYS complains about rent!). Hmmm.. but.. I haven't tried Exceed Portraits yet... do you think Happy or Elli might sit still? Carla probably would.. I'll ask, painting fur is different from painting human skin.

Anyways, I hope this answered your question! I particularly enjoyed this one Sabrina-san!
