Well, good news everyone. I finally saw The Secret Life of Pets 2. And it was freaking AMAZING! It reminded me of how much I loved the original. It was funny, it was adorable. there were great characters (new and old) and the story was very cool. Overall, it was amazing. But I still prefer the original for a few reasons.

1 - Some of the characters that I loved from the first movie didn't return. I already had a feeling that Tiberius and Ozone weren't going to return and the Flushed Pets and Alley Cats I figured weren't going to show up. But Leonard didn't show up either! I was so shocked by that. I guarantee that many people had him on their favorite character list but he didn't show up.

2 - The songs weren't that good. Some of them I didn't think work and others I'm scratching my head. I was questioning Snowball's sanity when he began rapping. Not bad but didn't see that coming from a longshot. The soundtrack was good though but the songs... not so much. The only song that I actually loved was It's Gonna Be a Lovely Day.

3 - The mini movies were a little... uh... cringey and weird. Super Gidget, I swear, was just... dear lord why. At least I learned something from it. Squirrels are evil. You had one doing a freaking evil laugh! Then there was Minion Scouts. Honestly, it wasn't so bad... until it did. And there was also this...

So in retrospect, The Secret Life of Pets 2 was an amazing movie but the first one is still my favorite.
