Coleena woke up to the birds chirping and the sight of Jasper sitting beside his bed reading a book. Her cheeks flushed a red color as she remembered everything from the night before, she turned her back towards him hoping he wouldn't notice her awake.

Jasper being the empath and vampire he was had already noticed however. He had sensed her emotions change from calm and peaceful to embarrassed and shy. He had also heard her heart beat pick up. "How are you feeling? Would you like some water?" Coleena sighed as she turned over to meet his honey colored eyes. The soft look that was sitting in his eyes melting her heart.

Coleena nodded as she sat up. Jasper was gone but a second later he was back with a glass of water, he set it on the bedside table as he sat back in his chair. However when reaching for the glass she noticed that the she was no longer in her own clothes and her blush rose once again. Embarrassment washing over her once again.

She looked down taking in her attire, she didn't have a bra on and it was obviously a nightgown. "Did you-"

"No." Jasper answered quickly, his own embarrassment flowing through his body. He knew if he could blush his ears would be red. "Rosalie changed you, Alice has had the clothes for a long time." He explained and Coleena nodded before she grabbed the cup, the cold water welcomed to her throat.

"What do you mean, a long time?" She was confused about how Alice had known her size for so long without ever meeting her.

"Ah, Alice can see the future. She's been preparing for you for you a long time." Jasper concluded and Coleena felt her heart glow. Someone was waiting for her. "Although your clothes were recently moved into my closet, you are free to them anytime." Jasper explained as he admired the soft blush kissing her cheeks.

It was almost like they were sharing a room, coming together as soulmates one hundred percent. "Do you all have different abilities?" She asked and Jasper furrowed his brows as he looked at her.

"Did you not see that in the memories you've seen?" He asked and she shook her head.

"I only see memories of what makes you, you." Coleena tried her best to explain speaking with her hands, Jasper smiled at the action. "So for Edward I see his mother, his turning, his...choices afterwards and what led him here." Jasper nodded as he leaned forward slightly.

"That's very interesting." He watched as she smiled softly before she seemed to remember she was without her bracelet. Worry clashed into her calm emotion making Jasper's brows furrow. "What's wrong?"

"My bracelet-"

"Carlisle put it into his office. He wanted to know about it." He explained and she nodded as she stood up her feet touched the coldness of the wood making her shiver slightly. "I'm honestly a bit curious myself, why do you use it?"

She blushed slightly as she stretched with her arms above her head. "It's uh, it's helps keep my powers in check." She explained before she sat back down on the bed. "My emotions control my powers a lot more than others. So anger will cause it all to flush out and make things hover and crash like that." She explained pressing her hands together tightly. "Only if I'm too overwhelmed though." She added hastily.

Jasper smiled softly at her before he stood up. "I'll allow you to get changed. I'm sure you'd like to head back home." Coleena shook her head swiftly surprising Jasper.

"I'd-" she paused before taking a breath. "I'd like to stay and thank Rosalie and Emmett, Alice as well." She smiled and Jasper nodded. Despite herself, she felt she trusted the Cullens more than she had a few days ago.

"You'll still need to change though." He reminded before pointing to the closest. "Clothes your size will be there." Coleena nodded as she stepped towards the closet once Jasper had left.

She had pulled down a purple long sleeve and a new pair of jeans before changing into them. The clothes were surprisingly very her compared to other clothes in the closet.

The nightgown she had been wearing also seemed to fit her style. It was cut off right below her collar bones, and had long sleeves. It reached down to her knees and was a crisp white color.

When she descended the steps Jasper laughed lightly at her. "What?" She asked and Jasper looked back towards the TV watching the news.

"I'm just surprised you had clothes like that in the closet." Coleena raised her eyebrows before sitting next to him on the couch. "Alice has a way of-" he paused thinking of the best words before deciding. "Going overboard. Keeping it simple."

She smiled as she messed with the end of her sleeve. "My mom is the same way. She used to dress me up everyday for school. The academy I went to had a no uniform day every Friday, she went overboard ever time." Coleena smiled remembering one day in particular. "I had a purple dress with black heels, beads placed all over in my hair. I was only eleven." She laughed and Jasper laughed as well looking over towards her.

Coleena's long black hair had been down, framing her face and ending at her ribs. She had socks on but she didn't have shoes and her purple long sleeve cut off showing off a bit of her cleavage. Her blue eyes seemed ever bluer today and Jasper loved it. Her tan skin seemed to be glowing but the bruise she had when she arrived still sat on her cheekbone. As well as her busted lip.

"How come your magic healed the rash, but not your bruise?" Coleena looked into his eyes slightly nervous before she took a breath.

"My magic only heals serious injuries."

Jaspers brows furrowed as he asked her his next question. "The bruise isn't a serious injury?"

"The rash was an allergic reaction, one that could potentially kill me. Would've killed me if I was normal." She explained she smiled slightly. "The bruise wouldn't have killed me, neither would the busted lip."

Jasper seemed to be in thought but decided against his next question. He instead tuned back into the news and Coleena tuned into it as well. "Where is everyone?" She asked and Jasper smiled a small one.

"Esme and Carlisle are shopping for groceries. The others are out hunting." Her eyebrows furrowed and Jasper sensed her confusion before he elaborated. "Esme is getting stuff for you, she dragged Carlisle with her." She nodded before she asked her next question.

"How come you aren't hunting?" Jasper smiled softly at her before he relaxed into the couch.

"Couldn't leave you to wake up all by yourself. I can always hunt tomorrow." She felt a blush creep onto her cheeks again as she looked back towards the TV. Jasper was still staring at her before he came to his next conclusion. "Let's be friends."

She choked on air before looking towards him. "What?" She asked wanting to be sure she had heard him correctly.

"Let's be friends. I would like to be friends with you Coleena." Despite how much she didn't like her full name, when Jasper Hale said it, it didn't sound all that bad. It didn't remind her of her father. It only sounded like her. Like it was a name only belonging to her, one only he called for her.

"I'd like that." She smiled at him before a sudden thought her. "But we have rules. Boundaries." Jasper smiled.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."

                     ———————————

Everyone noticed as Alice paused on a tree on their way back. Edward and Alice shared a look before both smiled and Rosalie rolled her eyes. "Wanna share with the class?" She asked already knowing that Alice and Edward had a stronger relationship than most of them.

"Jasper and Leena." Alice started an excited tone to her voice. "She's going to be in our lives for a long time." Alice called before she sat down on the branch. Her dress blowing in the wind as the others took the message. "We should give them a few more minutes. Leena has some rules for Jasper to follow." Luke and Emmett shared a look already knowing that Coleena Caster will be just as stubborn and alike to Rosalie and Alice.

Despite her petite frame and timid manner Coleena Caster would only add to the women who run their household.

By the time the rest of the Cullens had made their way into the house Jasper and Coleena had moved into the kitchen. Esme was cooking something small and Carlisle and Coleena sat next to school other. The bracelet in between them. Jasper was stood close to Coleena but not touching her at all.

"How dangerous is it?" Carlisle asked as the other stood around also interested.

"It's only dangerous to witches, they were very uncommon when the war between vampires and witches was going on. It dulls our magic, our hearing isn't as good, our senses aren't as good either." Coleena stated grabbing the bracelet before she put it in her pocket.

"Why are they still being used then?" Rosalie asked and she smiled at her before she looked at her hands.

"We mostly use them when we're training another witch. When we first get our powers they relate to our emotions the most, so you could really hurt one another. Our....home, the schools have a policy. You're supposed to wear them until you're better at controlling your magic."

"Why were you wearing it then?" Luke asked a little concern poking through his features.

"My magic is more connected to my emotions than most. It uh, pops out sometimes when I'm really overwhelmed." She explained holding onto her arms slightly. "It follows my temper."

"Well if it's bad temper problems don't worry." Emmett teased as he leaned against the island. "Lukas over there has the worst anger issues in the whole family." He snickered before Luke seemed to burst.

"Whatever! You're the reason we can't play monopoly anymore!" He argued as Emmett got up ready to throw down.

"You cheated! I know you did."

"I already told you-"

"Boys!" Esme scolded as Coleena just turned to start eating. "Not in the house, and not in front of our guest." Alice laughed causing everyone to look towards her.

"Don't worry, Coleena joins in on their banter often." Coleena felt her whole body light with embarrassment before she shoved more food into her mouth so she couldn't be asked any questions. Jasper laughed along with everyone else, Esme and Carlisle sharing a knowing look with each other. Edward already knowing they were thinking they same thing.

Once Coleena had finished her food, Jasper had washed the dish and she was saying goodbye to Rosalie. The two holding hands. "Don't worry. I'll be alright." Coleena assured rolling her eyes slightly before she brought one hand to cup her cheek.

"Alright."

Jasper smiled at the two as Edward came over patting his back. "So you got her." Jasper relaxed slightly not looking so stiff and military like.

"It would seem so." Coleena just happened to look over at the two as she waved her hand goodbye. She put her helmet on before getting on her motorcycle. "Now it would seem just you need someone."

Edward scoffed as he turned to go back inside. Jasper chuckled before he looked to Carlisle who stood on the patio above him. "Seems you and Alice were right." He spoke as Carlisle nodded.

"It would seem so."

                       ——————————

Coleena arrived at school in her usual spot, only Angela had been waiting for her. She was excited as she rushed over as Coleena took her helmet off looking over to see Jasper and Rosalie waiting for her. As Angela touched the sleeve of her shirt she sighed slightly. She hated this.

"We have a new student coming! She'll be here next week." Angela smiled as Coleena smiled at her as well. "Are you excited?" "Maybe Coleena will have her Jess! They have a bit in common, both being new."

"Yes. It sounds wonderful." She gave a tight lipped smile before Jasper popped up.

"Coleena." He seemed to be somewhat curt as he held his hands behind his back.

"Jasper, what-"

"I told you I'd walk you to class remember?" At his raised eyebrows she seemed to just know that he was saving her from having to be touched. She feigned surprise as she gasped slightly.

"You're right! The project, I'm so sorry!" She then turned to Angela grabbing her hands. "I'm sorry! We'll have to discuss later at lunch. I've gotta go." Angela nodded and Jasper looked at her expectantly.

"So, what's the topic on?" He asked as they started walking, still within Angela's ear shot. Jasper Hale truly was a gentlemen. She smiled before she shifted the straps of her bag nervously.

"I was thinking we could do it on plants." She stated firmly as Jasper looked over surprised. As she glanced behind her she noticed Angela out of ear shot, yet still chose to stand on her tippy toes to get closer to his ear. Ever the gentleman Jasper leaned down slightly.

He could smell her scent as it reached his nose and feel her breath fan over his ear before he heard her voice reaching his ear. "Thank you for that! I didn't want to be rude." She spoke before she smiled sweetly at him.

"You're welcome ma'am." She felt her cheeks flush as she caught Rosalie and Luke waving her over.

"So I'll...see you class after." She stammered before she nervously shook her hands in front of her. "In class! Lunch after." She almost tripped over her feet before she caught herself a sheepish smile playing on her face.

Jasper smiled softly at her, his golden honey eyes soft as he looked at her. He could sense her nervousness in her feelings, the tingling she felt towards him. He could hear her heart beating strongly and see the bright blush spread on her cheeks. She looked stunning. "I'll see you in class, after lunch." He supplied for her as she nodded swiftly.

"Right! Yes." She pointed her fingers slightly as she turned. "See you!" She called before rushing to Rosalie and grabbing her hand as Luke followed them. Jasper couldn't help but feel as though they've turned a corner, and Coleena couldn't help but feel like she was losing herself slightly.

Alice moved gracefully as she bounced on her tippy toes. "This is wonderful!" She exclaimed as she grabbed Jasper's hand. "We should hurry, don't wanna be late for first period." She stated before dragging Jasper along with her.

A small smile sat on his face, who would've thought that his mate would have ended up being perfect for him.

                       ——————————

By the time lunch had rolled around, all the Cullens and Coleena had heard about was the new student. 'Isabella Swan' had become everyone's favorite topic. Coleena couldn't be more amazed by how little it took to entertain the students of forks. "I wonder what she's like." Angela stated as she took a bite out of her sandwich.

"She's probably really tan and gorgeous." Jess sighed before pushing around her salad. "I mean she is from Arizona after all." Coleena laughed lightly as she looked at Jessica from her pizza and apple.

"That doesn't mean anything." She teased as Jess smirked slightly.

"Oh. Do tell us your thoughts miss Caster." Coleena sent a playful glare towards Jessica who laughed back.

"I dunno, but I feel bad." She spoke earnestly causing the table to look at her. "I mean, what if she doesn't like attention at all? Now all the attention is on her." She could feel her anxiety rising slightly as she thought back to her own experience. "What if she didn't want everyone to know her before she even got here? What if the rumors are just rumors? Are there rumors about her?"

Angela and Jess shared a look before Eric laughed lightly. "Leena Caster! Fear not, for there are no such rumors about her." He said dramatically making Coleena smile slightly. She couldn't help the small amount of anxiety coursing through her body though.

However as she looked up and made eye contact with Edward and Jasper she felt her worries melt away only to be met by a calming feeling invading her body. She smiled at Jasper before listening to Mike hope for Isabella Swan to be hot.

Completely missing the sweet smile Jasper had sent back her way. The knowing smile of both Alice and Edward going unnoticed by both of them.

                         —————————

"So ma'am, are you really that nervous about the new girl?" Jasper asked her as she sat down next to him in their shared class. She sent him a smirk before she pulled out her notebook.

"Well of course." She stated as if it was obvious. "It's always good to be cautious when someone new comes along." Jasper could sense that there was a deeper meaning behind those words as he frowned slightly.

"Not everyone is someone to be cautious about." He spoke and saw her furrow her eyebrows before she looked up at him, her black pony tail swiping the air harshly. Sensing her anger he felt himself grow nervous. "I just meant with every new person, comes a new experience." He stated before he got out his notebook.

She seemed to be contemplating his words before he felt her anger dissipate. He smirked to himself before wiping the emotion from his face. "I guess." She stated but he could still tell she was on edge a little bit.

"What is it?" He asked turning his body to face hers. He yearned to grab her hands and rub his thumbs along her knuckles.

"I just." She paused as she glanced around making sure no one was listening. "I feel like a shift is going to happen." She fidgeted with her hands as he furrowed his brows.

"What do you mean?" He asked her softly as she glanced into his eyes. He would never get tired of looking into her blue eyes.

"I mean, what if something changes before we even-" she cut herself off  seeming to think over her words, she bit her lip as he felt her anxiousness increase. Blue mist flooded off of her hands and onto the desk before Jasper sent a wave of calming and indifference towards her.

She took a deep breath and the mist was gone just as fast as it had appeared. "Coleena, darlin' that won't happen." He spoke with nothing but truth to his words. His greatest fear other than hurting her, was never seeing her in all of his existence.

"What if-"

"No what ifs." He stated sternly. However before she could answer, the bell signaling the beginning of class had rung. She sighed as he smiled slightly, the seriousness of this conversation being delayed for a few more days.
