Snow: Snow is precipitation that comes down from clouds as ice, not water.

Sarin set down on the cold Aksala snow. His powerful wings had carried him almost 3,000 miles in just a few days, but he was still exhausted. He flew up into the air, spotting a snowshoe rabbit, and caught it. It satisfied his hunger, but he would need much more for the return journey.  He was in a beautiful, snowy forest with no clue where to start looking for the amulet.

He sighed, and decided to use his magic. Sarin closed his eyes, and felt a slight humming behind his temple. He walked forward, and the humming increased. Like hot and cold, he thought. He walked forward until the humming dimmed, then turned and tried to find the most humming. It wasn't exactly scientific, but at least he wan't wandering aimlessly.

From there he walked left until the humming dimmed, and so on. Twisting turns and snarled paths were marked by eagle's claw marks. Finally, Sarin opened his eyes to find his beak inches from a giant oak tree. He flew up, seeing if he could spot the amulet, but to no Advil. When he reached the top, he settled on a branch and thought.

 Sarin looked where the trunk separated, and almost laughed out loud. The tree was hollow! Sarin flew down inside, and as he did, a warmth  spread through his body. He swooped down and grabbed the chain of the neckless in his beak, flying up and perching on a branch. The neckless was shaped like a Celtic note, made of silver.

Sarin flew into the air, heading to the south as fast as he could. Flying over a city, people pointed up at him in awe. The power of the amulet coursed through him... The people down below began to sing, and Sarin humored them by setting down and watching them.

"Eagle! Eagle!" One side began to chant

"Eagle, Eagle." The other side said.

"Flight of the bird."

"Eagle, Eagle."

"Fly, Eagle"

"Eagle, Eagle"

The song repeated, going through all the different verses. Sarin was surprised at how ragged these people were, how sad and small there town was. So he lifted up his wings, and transformed. Sarin looked down at a puddle of water and his reflection. He was a tall man, with amber eyes and brown hair. Furs warmed him instead of feathers, and the amulet was still around his neck. The chanting stopped.

"Please, Good people" Sarin started. The people looked at him like he was a king, which Sarin supposed, was slightly true.

"I am Sarin of the Eagles. Will someone give me housing on this cold night?" The first one to speak up was a mother, three children clutching her.

"Sarin of eagles, we will give housing" Sarin nodded and followed the woman into a nearby house. She fed him and let her sleep on the best bed in the house. Sarin tried to protest, but she insisted. In the morning, before dawn, Sarin left. But he had written a note explaining some things to the woman. Allies were always needed.

Dear Miranda;

The state of our world is abysmal. I have left to try my best to fix it, but you need to help me as you can. Gather all who will, and fight for Acair. Fight against Carman Jon, Fight for the eagles. If you ever need help, I am sending a brave bird to protect you and your family. You are much better then most, Lake Swan.

-Sarin.
