Interviewer: How did you discover Wattpad?

Hope: My little sister, AngelWingInspiration , showed it to me when I was in grade nine. She told me it was an app for writers and readers, and what can I say? I got hooked from the second and posted my first fanfiction!

Interviewer: How long were you writing before Wattpad?

Hope: Honestly? I've been writing for as long as I can remember. From the time I could hold a pen or pencil an make words, I've been making stories, and when I wasn't making stories I was acting them out through my play. Writing, stories, books... everything like that has been a part of my life since I was born.

Long answered shortened? Let's say... ten years?

I've only been doing really long stories and full-fledged novels for about five though.

Interviewer: Where do you find inspiration?

Hope: Everywhere! I find it walking outside just enjoying nature, I find it in normal conversations with my friends and family... it's everywhere. I've found that inspiration comes from the strangest places sometimes.

Interviewer: Any advice for aspiring writers?

Hope: If you love writing, work at it. It won't always be easy. There are people waiting at every corner to criticize you, but you can't let that stop you. The more you practice, the better you'll get (and yes, that applies for people who claim that they're "not good at writing"). Practice, work hard, and have fun with what you do!

Interviewer: Out of all of your stories, which was the most difficult to write?

Hope: Oh boy, that'd have to be the final book in my Walking Dead trilogy. I started the series when I first started Wattpad at thirteen years old, but after hiatuses and long waits, I only got to the third book four years later. By then, I wasn't into the Walking Dead or writing the book anymore.... and I still haven't finished it.

Out of my completed works? I wrote an Assassin's Creed fanfiction that took quite a bit of rewriting to finally get through, but it was worth it in the end.

Interviewer: Finish the sentence: It was...

Hope: It was hell all over again.

She closes her eyes at night only to be submerged into a warped version of the past, plagued with visions that assault her until she jolts from her bed with a pounding heart and a dry mouth. Just a dream...it was just a dream.

It never stays a dream for long. A lot of the time, she feels like she's living a realistic version of her nightmare.

Her family loves her, sure, but they call her reckless. They tell her that she should care more about herself and that she needs to remember the good of the team. They shake their heads, look upon her with pity, and offer their comfort when she loses her grip on the little bit of her reality that isn't saturated with fear.

She doesn't know how to tell them that she can't help being reckless, she's just always on alert. She has to do something to make her feel like she's normal, like she isn't caught in a never-ending adrenaline buzz.

She doesn't know how to tell them that she can't stop herself from putting their lives before hers. She failed them once, do you blame her if she doesn't want it to happen again?

She knows that they can't even begin to imagine what she goes through every day. She rounds a corner into a dark room and for a moment, she's back in that cell. Lightning flashes across the sky and she swears she can feel the electricity coursing through her again. She looks in the mirror and she sees a monster.

She doesn't want to tell them that she really doesn't care about what happens to her. She'd miss some things; video games, food, laughter, music, books. She'd miss them, the ones she loves, but in the end she'd only miss them for a little while, that little space before she drifted away forever.

Do the dead remember the people they've left behind? she wonders.

Thank you, hope_forever_18 ! I really enjoy your work and I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me! Also, I said I'd have it published yesterday, but... I got sidetracked... SORRY!!!! And thank you, again!

And I wanted to put both of these covers, but only one could go at the very top... 😅
